Kilian would have started a little closer to the front of the party, just behind Leonel and Yanos. I moved him up.
The Andoren hurls a javelin at the nearest beetle, but fails to even come close to the creature.

”Bugs? Ick.” Rowanna says with disgust as she strategically retreats away from the beetles.

Haris steps forward drawing a pair of throwing daggers and loses on the lead bug.

Action: drop extra gear as free action
DM Rah
Haris, only a standard or move action is allowed in a Surprise Round, so only 1 attack. Leonel, I'm going to assume you charge.
As the beetles swarm from their advance, your group moves to meet them. Kilian throws a javelin, but it goes wide. Haris throws a dagger that lodges into one's head, causing it to flip over and flail it's legs in the air. Alie blasts one with a magic missile, then Leonel finishes it off with a powerful slash with his weapon. Though caught unaware, Yanos' training kicks in and his drops his longspear in time to skewer another.
3 down.

Delaying until otherwise noted due to their immunity to all of her useful stuff.

Stepping forward to align with the closest beetle and to see if I fall through the fungal floor, I'll take a swing at the beetle near Hawkson.

"Good work everyone! Yanos, I am impressed with that spear of yours." Leonel offers congratulations to his party as he surveys the area for more threats.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
DM Rah
Searching the area you find a few odds and ends that obviously hail from the surface. Most of this is rubbish, but a small collection of valuables lies among the eggs. Haris, Peri, and Yanos uncover one nest is lined with a scroll of lesser restoration, and three potions, and a magical cloak. Haris also points out a harness attached to one of the beetles, obviously placed there by something capable of intelligent thought.
You also discover tracks in the sand that Yanos believes strongly to be from a small minotaur, likely Nuar Spiritskin. It would seem he came through here, but it looks like he was attacked by a dozen or more creatures and dragged away through the tunnel to the northeast.

"Yanos, dear. If we find any giant insect eggs could you be so kind as to get one for me darling? I would appreciate it so very very much, beetles are icky."
DM Rah
The potions seem identical, and after identifying two as cure moderate wounds , Rowanna is reasonably certain that the third is the same. The cloak proves harder to identify, though it seems to be protective in some manner.
The search for eggs is simple. Leonel was considering omelet recipes as Peri brought up her question. However, storing and moving an egg is a delicate process.
It is a DC 20 Handle Animal check to secure an egg, but you get 3 tries.
Meanwhile, Yanos and Rowanna have been taking careful notes, attempting to map these caverns. This is no easy task, though, as the caverns wind randomly in every direction.
A successful DC 15 Knowledge (geography) check is required to make accurate enough notes about the cave complex to be of any use.

Rowanna sighs as she looks over her map, complete with doodles of ravens and imps, realizing that even she doesn't quite understand what she's mapped. She crumples it up into a little ball and tosses it behind her.
No Knowledge (Geography) here.

I'll cast Guidance, first, and than attempt it.Handle Animal 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

If the DM will allow 2 Aid Another's, that last one will work, barely. For example one person holds a bag open, while another, I don't know, properly instructs me in the best way to prod and poke at eggs.
Alternatively, again, if the DM allows it, I could use my "shirt" reroll.
DM Rah
I very much dislike faction missions that rely on someone having a rarely taken skill that cannot be attempted untrained - such as this egg collecting business and the mapping request. Since this faction mission is pretty stupid, I'll say this. Hold the reroll, and if you still have it (and are still alive) use it on your way back after the Society mission to save Nuar is done.

I'm sorry. We are in the same boat, I do not think anyone has the skill I need at all. Honestly, I'm not even sure why it is in the game at all. :(

”The stench from the dead beetles and mold is starting to give me a headache. Let's go.” Rowanna suggests as she follows Haris towards the next passage.
DM Rah
Moving on, the natural caverns suddenly give way to worked stone and metal fixtures. Dangling glass balls flicker and cast a weak, greenish glow across the chamber. Ahead, a series of greentiled, wide, terraced stairs slope up to an imposing bronze door, partly torn from its hinges. The stairs bear hundreds of symbols that seem to warp and flicker.
The reek of decay, along with a pungent, acidic smell fills the chamber. Heaps of bones and garbage are scattered about the room. On both sides of the bronze doors, numerous small idols sit in niches and nooks. Their clumsy design clearly contrasts the delicate swoops and strokes of the walls and door.
Two more beetles loiter at the far side of the cavern, the glowing glands on the carapace clearly marking them out.
As you begin moving into the cavern suddenly two creatures skitter down the wall. Skin pale as a slug's belly, eyes huge and bulging, their shape is hideously humanoid, but they move like a spider swarm, arms and legs intertwining but never seeming to get in each others way. They leap from the wall as they near the ground, and bring their clubs to bear on Alie, cracking her in the ribs and across the head. 19 damage
Their screeching alerts the beetles, who begin moving your direction as well.
