Princess Isis and Bast |
Isis grumbles with disdain at the sight of the bamboo forest and the height and the ease by which someone could hide within.
"Unless one of you can track, I suggest we get to looking. This may not be as easy as the last fight. I will scout from above, the upper canopy is quite thick. Let's get moving," Isis climbs to about 30' feet up and will trail/follow the party, trying to find their prey.
Isis will fly at 1/2 speed, trying to maintain an element of stealth while she shadows and looks around.

Ward will try his hand at tracking.
"I have a little skill in tracking, but I didn't get much practice due to my rigorous religious studies."

Uh Ward, let me handle the tracking.
if Savage finds tracks' he immediately begins raging and using his scent ability to track down the nagaji.
DM PeteZero |
Savage manages to locate her trail, and follows her track.

I only would have raged and used scent if the trail got cold, how many round s do you think I would have had to rage to find the nagaji, or did the 32 lead us right to her directly. sorry guys my will saves are not so good when I am not raging, or able to boost them with auspicious mark
will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
DM PeteZero |
The 32 led you close to her, but without raging (it is in the forest and you need some time to track her down).
Dora D Asplora |
Just finished work for the year. Dora is first in init order but looks like Pad has action during surprise round first?Dora would be riding Boots the wolf. The wolf is no better at tracking than Ward, but does have scent if that mattered. Let me know when it is her turn .
Dora looks deep in thought as she marvels at the forest.
"And then we traveled the 7 layers of the bamboo forest to the sea of swirly gumdrops...I think that was how it goes. From my friend Buddy, an elf. "
Savage Vengeance |
I'll wait on Dora and Pad before I make my next save

During the surprise round Pad sees the Barbarians eyes glaze over as he leaps towards the dangerous gnome. He'll attack after the surprise round.
Princess Isis and Bast |
lets give this a shot before painlord gets on to me for not being able to afford a clear spindle. Damn...
Lol. And I was *so* looking forward to turning you into a newt.
Was Isis able to see the spellcasting or the spellcaster?
Waiting to see what Pad does.
Dora D Asplora |
Assuming Pad goes first in surprise, Dora will also wait. Unless he says anything to indicate the kinds of creatures or problems we face.
Boots will use scent to detect any approaching creature.
Dora will ready to cast glitterdust on the first creature(s) that try to attack us.
Pad The Pyro |
Improved invisible on self during surprise round. Protection from Evil on Savage on round 1 and move action for distance away from threat. Free action to ID spell. Sorry for the delay.

Pad The Pyro |
Pad will cast Spell Resistance on Savage for SR 24 after he shakes off his gnome killing rage. "The next time you feel the urge to incapicate me please use your fists. I'd much prefer to wake up with a splitting headache than a split head. Pad wipes the sweat from his brow, smiles and chomps on a leftover buttermilk biscuit. He is a stress eater after all.
Ward Ama |
Not seeing anything in the area, he grabs the strange mummified hand he wears around his neck. Then takes a look around the area again.
Uses his hand of glory to cast see invisible
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
Ward Ama |
"I can see it. Isis be careful it is up there with you, probably about 10 to 15 feet south of Pad."
Now that he can see it, he will detect evil as a free action on his turn.
Pad The Pyro |
Pad will cast see invisibility on self. Pad is invisible.
Will save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12 I will use enteral hope racial trait for Reroll of natural 1
Will save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Dora D Asplora |
Dora was still holding her readied action from round 1. So if we are moving to round 2 she will sing and if Ward tells her where to pinpoint, she will cast glitterdust in the area of the foe.
"What do you see guys? I do not see anything."
Pad The Pyro |
Pad gives approximate location of foe in relation to Savage since Pad is invisible. "He is 35 feet above Master Savage and X feet NSEW direction. Follow my Spectral hand." Not sure if jungle map is updated. Pad will cast Spectral Hand on its location when he can.
Gerri |
Round 1?
Seeing others cast magic and talking about seeing it now, Gerri will drink an extract of See Invisibility.

Pad The Pyro |
Slow down Pad, by my count you are in round 4 already.
My apologies. I will be offline for the next 24 hours, so I wanted to post future actions.
Ward Ama |
No worries, I think most of us will be off this evening and tomorrow. It was just getting a little confusing as to when and what you were doing.
Ward Ama |
"Dora you should have a general idea on where it is now that I shot it."
If it has DR then it only applies once due to cluster shot.
Princess Isis and Bast |
Round 1, Init 16
Sheesh, Ward. From ending the encounter in one round all the way down to 11 damage and a bit luster off her stoneskin, eh? Dang...how the Pads have fallen.
Isis cast See Invisibility and stealth to a place where she can see the opponent. Any knowledge check upon viewing? Race? Armaments? Armor?
1d20 + 17 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 17 + 2 = 22 Stealth
Dora D Asplora |
"♪♫♪♫ Right is might, so fight, fight fight!!! ♪♫ " (inspired +2 atk/+2 dmg)
"Thanks Ward, I should be able to light her up like a festival tree now. "
Bard song and glitter dust would have been up in round 2. So save vs blind and +2/+2 to all attacks or shots.
Princess Isis and Bast |
Round 2, Init 16
Isis sneers at the no visible nagaji, still wondering is she can make out armor or weapons.
She will cast Glitterdust on the nagaji (DC 22 Will vs. blindness) and stealth about the canopy.
1d20 + 17 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 17 + 2 = 24 Stealth

Seriously?
Fort save from Dora: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22
Editing post due to help from Dora which is an immediate action. I saw nothing that stated Saving Finale would stop lingering performance.
Ward will then return then fire.
Bow is adaptive so no penalty for strength change. He will rapid shot and many shot.
Shot 1: 1d20 + 20 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 20 - 2 + 2 = 36 damage: 2d8 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (4, 5) + 10 + 2 = 21

Dora D Asplora |
Lesser restore has a 3 rounds casting time right?
Immediately seeing the attack on Ward, Dora abruptly ends her song in a flourish to give Ward another chance to resist the effect.
"Ward, I insist, you must resist!
Saving Finale (I am not sure if with lingering performance if it still goes on or not). Also, since 2 glitterdusts were cast, there should have been two saves...one from Dora's and then one from Isis. I only saw one save.
Savage Vengeance |
Savage continues wasting his rage, lamenting aout the fight yesterday where he drank his potion of fly.
Savage sheathes his greatsword and draws his bow.

Princess Isis and Bast |
Round 3, Init 16
This has been a confusing fight. Not just because players aren't keeping their own track of what turn they are on, or because they are not listing DCs of spells they cast, nor because some of the damage arrays aren't clear (Ward, did you see that the save was for 1/2 str damage?), and not just because it's been a slow holiday week, but all of the above. We can do better.
Isis sneers at the nagaji from cover.
Is that all you have? Ways to zap strength, snake? Do you have no true arcane talents?
Isis readies to cast Dispel Magic if the nagaji casts anything truly deadly/fun. Now that I can see her, can ID her spells for counter.
1d20 + 21 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 21 + 2 = 39 Spellcraft next spell, will decide to counter after knowing what it is.
Ward Ama |
half of 7 is 3.5 so 3. I lose 1 str per 2 ability damage. So -1 str only lowers damage per arrow by 1. So 5 per arrow instead of 6. Which is what I put into my rolls. If any of that does not look correct let me know.I will try to also include my round counter.
