Round 1 Wrap up
Wargrym you get mage armor cast and ready to Attack any that get into range. The first troll moves up to get closer towards mele range. The second troll moves up and claws at Wargrym but his mighty swing misses the mighty warrior. Ithalil you will unleash an arrow at one of the trolls. Siobhan there is a troll right next to you. Another Troll moves up and claws at Siobhan but its claws fail to penetrate her armor. Malcolm you lash out with your falcon and your first strike gets the troll in the shoulder tearing a chunk from its hide. Your second strike decapitates the roll, it's body falling to the ground in a useless heap. Another troll charges Wargrym and tries to bite him but the last little magical buff holds off the trolls teeth. The last troll tries to get into the fray but fails to do so.

Ithalil you fire off two arrows sinking them deep in to the chest of Troll 3 but he still stands. Siobhan you get up on the body of troll 2(I deleted it from the map but that doesn't matter) and cast your spell and feel it take affect for both reaming Trolls. Sorry for how slow these posts have been...
You can make me a knowledge Local or History or Arcane check to recognize Mokmurian's name.
The stone giant gets a pleased look on his face. "Very good. I seek a specific ancient ruin known as a Hellstorm Flume. Are you familar with them? As I presume you might know there are dozens of them skattered around Varisia but I'm trying to locate a specific one. You wouldn't know the spell "stone speak" would you?"

Theodric thought for a moment. Actually for a good while, but deciding to wait to answer his captor err...employer might be hazardous to his health, the arcanist replied, "In regards to the spell, I'm afraid I don't. I actually never thought of using that spell. Most of my research has been from scrolls and tomes in addition to visiting several old ruins. A few old stone tablets, but no I'm afraid I don't have spell available."
Deciding to quickly add in case the dragon popped in and said that he was useless, Theodric continued, "I do however have the skill to use a scroll with said spell on it quite easily. Plus I do have the ability to detect magic so I might be able to aid you there as well. If possible, and I apologize for my asking this, but if it is okay with you oh great and mighty giant lord, we should compare notes and see what we can gain from working together."
As he said that, he was thinking, "If only to stop you that is. Abadar grant me the strength to stand being around these villains and grant me the luck to stay in their good graces until I can foil their schemes and also grant me the willpower to not to jump the crossbow and attack them before then!"

Siobhan sleeps in even longer than usual, apparently intent on ABSOLUTELY making up for the missed time. When Lexie eventually ventures in to the tent to wake her it takes another twenty minutes before Sio actually comes out, looking more or less presentable.
"What happened last night and what have we managed to discover this morning? Oh... good morning. You did well last night boys. I'm not getting up next time."
That is possible Sio's longest day opening statement ever...

DM Mathpro |
The path seems clear Ithalil and in the brightness of daytime your able to recognize where you are. Your on the road towards Galduria, about an hour from Ember Lake.
[spoiler=Theodric]
Hellstorm Flume's used to be stationing points for soldiers in the Runelords armies. You know from growing up there and being to the site numerous times, that there is even a Hellstorm Flume in Sandpoint. You also know that a man by the name of Xaliasa was stationed there and even died there when Thassilon fell. What you know of Xaliasa is limited but he worked for Karzug, the Runelord of Greed. And this isn't the first time Karzug's name has come up. You know of a group of adventurers that have been staying in Sandpoint that have taken it upon themselves to investigate things involving the Runelord of Greed. They have found clues that might be pointing to a resurrection of Karzug. If this were true the results would be disastrous for Varisia and all of Galorian. You're not sure what exactly is going on but if Mokmorian is interested in a Hellstorm Flume it might be the one in Sandpoint and you also have a sinking feeling it might also have something to do with the return of Karzug.
You also know that Mokmorian is a stone giant wizard of great power that has been amassing an army. It is rumored to be stationed somewhere on the Storval Plateau. If he were to march on Sandpoint they would stand little chance of defending themselves and the city you grew up in would easily be reduced to dust.

Sio gathers the lengthening shadows around her as she creeps forward. She deliberately stays a long way from the giants, luckily at their size it is hard to be inconspicuous even in the dark. As she waits and watches she formulates a plan. Get everyone out and hidden in the woods. Let the giants investigate, split up and then hit them hard...
Sneaking her way back to camp she outlines her plan quickly - hoping to explain before her powers get the better of her and leave Lexie as her only conversation...

I was hoping to do some stargazing before I went to bed but I didn't want to wake my fiance. Mal has such trouble sleeping at night..."
Sio keeps stalling, aiming to buy as much time as possible. "I hadn't expected to meet giants out here on such a quiet evening. It must be something very important to have drawn such powerful beings as yourselves so far from home. May I inquire what it is? I'd be happy to help if I can."

Even you should have realised that if they knew about it they'd never say anything and if they didn't then they'd have asked me questions about it! They didn't react so it wasn't news to them! I thought we agreed you'd stay out of this sort of thing!"
Throwing her hands up in the air Sio stalks off to her previous look-out point.
I think our best chance of dealing with all giants from here on is to let Sio talk to them, her passive diplo score is higher than their SM on a nat 20... as long as we can keep War quiet.

Wargrym |

War listens to the Giants sense motive: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 wanting an excuse to engage the Giants and eliminate a threat, but he is aware of the daggers Siobhan is staring at him REALLY??? you want to let them go so we can fight them when they are together with their more of their friends and a DRAGON? War sees no need to let them go but he relents and lets the Giants go despite his better judgement.
Once the Giants are out of earshot "Of course it occurred to me, even through my thick skull! I wanted a reaction and an excuse to eliminate them as a threat. We're here to reduce the threat of a Giant army. Do you want to fight them all at once? or pick them off squad by squad? I know what I prefer. Fine... you're gonna say 'but they can lead us back to their camp'. Duh, that's what Ithalil is for. How hard do you think it's gonna be to find where a Giant Army is camped out? Really"
And with that Wargrym stalks off swinging NEGOTIATOR through an intricate series of moves seeking peace and calm in his martial dance silver tongued women! talk talk talk...belong in the damn kitchen!

"War is right, Sio. They are a threat. A threat to our loved ones, to what we hold dear the most." he says, starting to putting his armor, but then turns to War "But it wasn't the moment. We were unprepared, with Sio too near them and no plan but the usual. These aren't trolls, we need to drop them and do it hard and fast. And even though I'd rather do it with non lethal force, I won't risk you or Sandpoint. They aren't evil, but they chose their side. So did we, and ours is the righteous one, the path to protect others."
He finishes putting his armor on and looks at the rest, determination filling his eyes "Now gear up, cast your blessings and spells. Tonight we are hunting giants."

And even then sometimes I have to do things I hate to save the people I swore to protect. It never gets easier... But I didn't chose to be a Paladin to follow the easier path.
