I'll be heading up to the central coast this weekend for a 21st, so I probably won't be posting (or at least, posting long posts).
Provided my phone let's me online, I should be reading along and keeping pace though. I'll be back within a day and a bit, and I've got a two hour bus ride either way because shi-... sorry, Cityrail have trackwork on at the start of the bloody winter break. *grumble grumble*

And for a post from Iscarel, which may come a little slowly. I have some character creation from another game outstanding, and I've hit something of a creative block. Hoping I can submit something tonight before they move on without me! (Which, if I recall, is exactly what I did in the early stages of THIS game. So maybe I have nothing to worry about. :P)
I might post a little slow this evening.

A little explanation as to what I'm up to...
When I was writing up Tam's history I looked through the pic files for avatars looking for a pic for him... and I thought, "...Why not find a pic for his Liara as well?"
Well the one I picked which I almost posted as a inset pic in his character file was oddly enough the same one for Samaritha. I had no idea that character's pic was a actually character in this AP! lol!
So I just decided to make a little RP with the Npc... not really trying to do anything really ... just thought it would be cute for Tam to wonder if she had a twin sister - his Liara.
Just RPing... nothing more. Don't need to adjust campaign details to accommodate Tam! lol.. I'm just doing something fun/interesting while everyone else is doing something important/key to the story line that Tam would not likely want to be involved with anyways.
:)

My posts are going to be pretty slow this week. Especially today. My exams start tommorow (my last one is midday on a saturday, which means I miss the crazy solistice festival they have up in the mountains down here. Why do they do this to us?).
Either way I have some SERIOUS cramming to do, because no matter how much I assured myself that I'd "totally get around to" reading all that Elizabethan drama... I still don't know my Johnson from my Webster and my Webster from my Ford and sense I'm in big big trouble this time tommorow. :P
Ah, the joys of student life. Prose before Hoes, etc.

I LOVE that time period, and Jonson is one of my favorites.
Volpone <3
Sorry. I am a theatre geek.
As it turned out, Jonson wasn't in the exam. It's a mercy, because I regretfully didn't get to read it. (Plenty of time over my semester break, alas.) I was stuck on Ford. 'tis pity she's a whore was REALLY dense. Or perhaps just too many italian-set revenge tragedies at once ruins the experience. Lord knows they get pretty one note. Hopefully I get a chance to study them again with a better professor. This years professor was going through chemotherapy and we had several lectures canceled, and the poor fellow was hard enough to follow to begin with...
Tommorow is my last exam before semester break, on Victorian poetry, which I could do all kinds of gushing over. I've got a little more Hopkins and Rosetti to read in the morning, but let's hope things go as well as Wednesday's exam. :)

The revenge tragedies do get kind of stale.
I like Jonson because his comedies are brilliant. He takes all the usual comic tropes and archetypes (singing eunuchs, dancing midgets, mountebanks, illegitimate knights) of the time and nevertheless manages to create high art. Very literary, very clever, but stupid in all the right places. Shakespeare's comedies get at deep humanity, but Jonson's are much more fun, in my opinion.
Best wishes on your last exam! I don't know the first think about Victorian poetry...

I've found Volpone in one of my anthologies on the period (I get the coolest textbooks ever). I think I've found my first bit of holiday reading!
And Iscarel will do some "singing" of his own eventually. I just keep typing up Bill Withers or Nina Simone lyrics that are waaaaay out of character. :P

Just ran my first session of Skull and Shackles tonight. Has anyone else picked it up?
Whew, those tables and skill checks are pretty confusing at first, but an and all I think it worked pretty well! How I'm going to pad out 17 more days on board with the amazing diplomacy rolls my PCs has been getting, but the path isnt as unforgiving as it looked on paper.
Though that's probably like to change.

For some reason, I can't seem to post my dice rolls. It acts like I'm doing a Preview, and won't actually make the post. Is anybody else having this issue?
I'd like to request that Waife roll for me, if that's all right. I'm not sure what the problem is.
I had the EXACT same problem.. so I typed 'rolled...' at the bottom and it finally took my rolls.

Great, thanks for the heads up! So many summoners, yikes... x.x
I'll submit Morgrym the fighter for now, but I'm sort of considering switching to rogue or cleric, as I'm playing a lot of fighters at the moment. To those that are gonna sign up (I know STR Ranger was interested)... what do you want to play?

Very tempted by that recruitment thread, but I don't think the timing will work out for me, unfortunately.
And on that note, I must let you guys know that I will be traveling overseas very soon, and will be posting less frequently. Our hotel does have wi-fi, so I'll be on periodically, but but I'll also be spending a lot of time romping around London, so there will likely be a dip in my play-by-post activity.
I leave on the 7th, and return home on the 19th, at which time I should be able resume daily posting.
Sorry about the short notice, but I must say that I'm excited that this trip is coming together.

GM Waife, I know it's many levels off, but I happened to read through the Halfling Opportunist prestige class a moment ago, and it looks like tons of fun, and maybe something for Tippy to aim for, rather than a fighter multiclass, but I had a couple questions.
One: would the sneak attack gained from this prestige class be of the same nature as his current sneak attack (d8s for knives, d4s for all other weapons)?
Two: he swapped the Halfling Luck racial trait for Underfoot, and this prestige class specifically augments the Halfling Luck trait. Would the bonuses the prestige class offers simply apply to those given by Underfoot (+1 dodge bonus to AC against larger opponents and +2 Reflex save bonus versus trample attacks), or would they apply to his saving throws like Halfling Luck (simply giving him a +1 bonuses to his saves at levels 2 and 4)?
Edit: I suppose I should have first asked the question, would you allow Tippy to take this prestige class down the road?
