Uflad's the tower wizard, yes. I understand your intentions - I'm trying to determine what exactly you're trying to do physically. Are you trying to hustle him off physically?

Either hide him or slink off with him... not sure if I can with the tunnels. Also, he's a fetchling (shadow related) maybe he has high stealth.

You have to make a spellcraft check.

You don't automatically see it.

I used identify, witch gives a +10 to spellcraft used to identify the properties of items.


Now that it's been pointed out to you, you're able to see the people and the strings. Oozula was simply able to notice it quickly and by herself due to her arcane spell.


OK. I'm confused. What is Suny throwing at who?

She threw a rock at the gem, which spun around in midair after orbiting around the gem once and flew right back at her. Now she's commenting that that's not what should happen when you throw a rock at something. It's something that happens when you throw a rock at someone.

Maybe it's just me (the player), but did the plot just get so complex that it's paralyzing?

I like the rich background, but... completely lost. Jaxx's brain is derailed.

Sorry I'm confusing you Jaxx. Let me break it down for you:

You're on a mission to collect allies to fight a foe you cannot defeat on your own.

You're here, in the Mindspin wizarding community, to get their help.

However, they have problems that need resolving before they can help you - the fetchling raids, and the fact that the wizards themselves are trapped in the very artifact the fetchlings are demanding.

Right now you have two options before you - try to enlist the aid of the fetchlings to rescue the wizards to secure the artifact so the wizards are rid of it, or go into the artifact yourselves in ethereal form to try and rescue the wizards yourself.


I can't be the only one that second option didn't occur to...

No, it was sort of mentioned to go in after them... But, Ulfad said he'd stopped messing with it ways back... didn't seem prudent.

Prudence is relative, but shouldl always be exercised while adventuring... or you won't 'be adventuring for long. :)

Arwen... ummm, maybe when we know more? If it's planar travel, we're not ready.

Also, sorry to ask out of game... But, were the folks actually the wizards in the pool... or just random folks like X-Men's Cerebro?


You recognize the ethereal figures as being the same individuals as those in the pool in the tower.
