Soth, please don't do this in the game thread. It's fine over here in Discussion to get things moving again, but part of the enjoyment of the game is the immersion factor, you know?
It's sort of like someone yelling "Hey, pick up the pace" during a slow part of a live play.
We bump stuff so that it stays one the top of the stack inside the sub forums. It isn't saying "hurry up", it's keeping it from dropping into the archives, and also keeping the forum alive, so that people that have posted in it will continue to see new posts being made since their last visit. A lot of people do not subscribe to threads, so that is how they continue the game. It is common in PbP especially.

Soth-Loren: Just wanted to let you know quick that I posted before your edit, so I just now saw your question to Alanaes. I don't have much time right this second, but I'll respond to you sometime soon-ish.
No worries.

Now that game tabs have been implemented, it isn't necessary. Clicking on the Campaigns tab in your profile shows every game you're in and every update that's been made since your last post, across all relevant threads.
And I disagree with you that it's common. You can check my campaigns if you like to see how many games I'm in. I follow three others that I'm not in. I've never seen anyone bump and in-game thread, especially not big, bold, and in black font.
It's not a big deal. I'd just prefer that if bumping is necessary that it be done in ooc text, or in the discussion thread. They exist so that we can post Out Of Game things without breaking immersion., so why not use them?

I've been having a little trouble playing Terra, as she is just too shy and thus passive. With permission, I might adjust her personality to be more assertive. I liked the shy aspect to her, but it is just too hard to convey in a social game and I think it is only helping in slowing the game down. I'd like to give her a more active role to help her push the game forward.
Thoughts?

ohh and Soth, that background addition is fine, we can do that.

            Sounds good. :)
What about changing her personality a bit so that she is always questioning herself. You could present her "passivness" more as a dialogue she has with herself, sort of like at the begining. You could also play it off a bit with Darian, (I think), who might have gotten to know you the most and can speak vocally, for you.
So instead of Terra saying I think that's a bad idea, but maybe instead we could do this,______.
Terra can look down at her feet and play with the dust, I don't like that idea, to risky, and I'm not sure I can do it, as she glances over at <something indicateing/representing what you want>
That being said, I assumed you where planning on building upon that idea and letting her learn confidence. I am actually enjoying her as a character, and I don't think she is slowing the game down so much as it's just a slow game in general. No one fault really.
Let me know though, if you would like to try to work on something with the character, and I'll try to help. I recall at the begining you indicated you sort of wanted a motherly, protective matron sort of role.

Honestly, I really like Terra the way she is. Having her go through a change as a result of the things that happen in game is a really cool idea, but I think it would be weird if it came out of nowhere.
Terra reminds me of Velma from Scoobie Doo (who was always my favorite character). It's fine to be socially awkward but still intensely driven about certain things. It would be really cool to see what happens when the normally shy Terra becomes excited or passionate about something important to her.

I'll third that I actually really like the way she is. I was just saying if you must change her, maybe that stuff could work. I find her very interesting and intrigueing, and she keeps leaving me wanting just a little more. I also like that she is awesome at giving me something to play off of, in a sense. She lets me highlight that Nobility domain, encouraging others aspect of my character, so thank you for that.

Just for information sake, I am aware of how many HP the Beastiary says an owlbear has on average, and the fact that you have done more than that. But I'm not using average HP for beasts, but rolling for them.
Be aware, the owlbear doesn't have long to live at this rate, and is badly wounded. But it just isn't quite dead yet.

Terra moves forward and manages to hit the owlbear with her bow.
(Even with the -4 for it being in combat with a large Darian.)
Unless I understand wrong, I can choose to aim for F13 and not get the melee penalty correct?
But then could the front half of the owlbear grant itself soft cover?

There are two seperate penalties. One, is the -4 for firing into melee (which is the one he was talking about) which always applies if the target is in melee range of anyone else. The second, which is the one you avoided by being able to aim at F-13, is the -4 cover bonus. If you would of had to fire through someone, then you would have had a toatl of -8 to hit.

Basically the rules don't like anyone without Precise Shot to even take a shot.
It's also the primary reasons why Ray spells suck.
In a normal fight any non-ranged build can only fire before melee characters close distance. After that they can either cast true strike between every attack, or they can plan on missing a lot.

Well there's a rules hiccup I've never noticed before.
My first batch of attacks I was able to stand in front of the goblins (L6, hard to tell exactly what square I'm in on horseback) and sweep my polearm across all three enemies within reach.
Second batch of attacks, the enemies are also in a line, but this time it's diagonal. All of a sudden I can't make that sweeping attack.
Quirky.

I was counting you back a bit, and the line was straight.
And, to be honest, someone pointed out the range problems with reach weapons to me recently.
It should have affected your attacks on the first set of goblins, but that was too long ago to fix, so I let it stand.
And the diagonal line does but the goblins at different distances than the straight line.
Sorry for the interupt.

No problem. Sorry I missed that.
I think I'll just take Catch Off Guard later and continue to bash things that are too close with the haft. It seems like a pretty elegant solution to the problem, and since Ive already displayed a penchant for picking other things and swinging them around, it's even character-relevant.

Just a heads-up. I'm getting close to redeploying. I may not be able to get online so much in the next 2 weeks, (not sure, but it is a possibility), and within 3-4 weeks, (for a short time) may not be able to get on at all. I would say, maybe 50/50, as I'm honestly not sure what to expect this time, but that is worst case. :)

Wareagle, the Rogar's player, was my GM for 2 games that he stopped updating months ago without warning.
As his main alias (Wareagle) he hasn't posted on the boards since Apr 26
As Rogar he hasn't posted since March 28th
At this point I think it's safe to say he's not an active player any longer.

            Still here.
I don't see the fight as complex. The issue is that Rogar vanished a couple months ago, Geoff seems to have dropped off as well, and Soth has very spotty reliability due to his job.
I'm pretty sure Al, Terra and I are still here all the way, but we're waiting on people who might not be in the game anymore.
We can't take people's turns for them, but you can, and after a couple days of inaction, I think you probably should.
Also, after this fight I think we should recruit another player or two and cut the people who don't answer a "role call".
