AT the intersection Chaul indicates a desire to head north.
"Let us keep next to this wall on our right and follow it around. Then if there are some unexplored areas in the middle, we can come back to them later."

"I cannot be possessed by anything but the spirit of the seventh Legion's third cohort agent Shakes. Perhaps literally in fact" comments Aldebert before pausing slightly. "Pharasma judge them kindly. In any case, I would be more worried about these bones, scattered about like flour in a bakery." Aldebert takes a knee to inspect the bones. "Nothing happens without reason, whether in the Phalanx, the Society or in the natural world. There must be a reason only half of these remains are disturbed. And I'm going to hope that that reason isn't that a creature has mistaken this for a Tian-Min buffet."
Would it be a survival or heal check to determine if somethign hass knawed on these bones?

Feeling a bit nervous about the marching order, Celedrian brings up the rear. "Perhaps whatever disturbed this place, just didn't have time to finish its work."

"Shall we go forward?" Alektara asks the others and takes a step north.

Chaul nods. I updated the map to how I think we are and moved us to the north.

"Allow me to switch with you, my elven-blooded friend. I feel livelier when close to the heat of the battle" says Aldebert as he motions for Celedrian to take up the rear.

Celedrian nods and steps out of Aldebert's way. "No argument here... be careful."

Nothing seems to have gnawed on the bones; none of the remaining fragments are very large, though, so they may have been broken at some point (or the larger pieces may have been removed). Aldebert is sure that they haven't been disturbed in a long time--on the order of years or more.
Continuing north, there is a small anteroom, with a corridor leading off to the east. To the north, it appears to open into a larger room. Nothing seems to be moving as far as you can tell--despite the open access to the crypts, there are no signs of vermin.

Continuing to the north, the party comes to a long hall running east and west. At the east end, a statue of a woman with elven features and the lower body of a snake lies broken in several pieces. The curved wall behind the statue contains dozens of fist-sized nooks, some of which contain items whose precise character cannot be determined from this distance. To the west, the hall ends with a narrow passage turning south, and directly across from you stairs descend into darkness.
However, your attention is drawn to a figure in gleaming full plate, greatsword in hand, frozen in place. It stands in a circle of gritty dust, just in front of the broken statue. Chaul, the circle detects as magic.

He examines the circle, trying to understand the magic in it.

Celedrian casts detect magic as well and tries to discern the nature of the dusty circle.

It appears to be some sort of abjuration effect, trapping the creature inside. It's been there for a long time.
Also, taking 10 on the Knowledge (Planes) check, Celedrian thinks that the creature inside is a Legion archon, a powerful and benevolent outsider.

"We should release this poor creature. Possibly trapped here for hundreds of years. If it were a guard, it would not need to be so bound. Something is wrong in this place."
He will move to break the circle, speaking words of friendship as he does so, unless anyone tries to stop him.

Chaul takes out his scimitar, and disrupts the delicate balance of the protective circle.

"If it aint magical I could give it a try and see if I can get it out... oh nevermind... Chaul took the initiative...a bit of warning next time..." Alektara stammers out looking over the figure.

Chaul scuffs part of the circle away, and the archon begins to move again. Unfortunately, she moves to attack the nearest person to her with a shout, taking all of you by surprise. Unless Chaul has a high Sense Motive bonus; Myth Weavers is blocked at work, so I couldn't review your character sheet. If your Sense Motive bonus is +12 or higher, you weren't taken by surprise and she misses you. "Servants of the Tyrant! I am the justice of Heaven!" Her sword catches fire as she hits Chaul solidly for 25 HP slashing +2 HP fire damage.

"Unless someone can talk some sense into him best we put him down and then save him!" and she strikes with her sword...

"You celestial ..." begins Aldebert, before realizing his companion wishes to try and defuse the situation. "Ahem. What my companion here means to say is that we serve the Ten. The Decemvirate of the Pathfinder Society. We're explorers. Of a sort. And definitely not the undead consorting type."

"And we're the murderous vagrants. Well then, perhaps since we're all of a mind to stop this nonsense you could tell us what you know of this cryptic tomb while we heal our comrade in arms. Or rather he heals himself using the method befitting him most" chastises Aldebert as he offers Chaul his wand of cure light wounds.

"It would appear the spellcasters trapped you. Which year did you go after that band of spellcasters. It is 4717 now..."
He smiles at the holy outsider.
"You would be welcome to accompany us, as there may well be evil spellcasters still down here. But I fear the group that trapped you may be long gone..."

Celidrian smiles at the entity, and nods in agreement. "It seems you were imprisoned magically, perhaps by the same evil casters you sought, but they may still be here. Coming with us sounds like a good idea snd we would be grateful for your alliance with us if you would agree to such."
