Between Kelden and Kankai, the last demon falls in a welter of purple blood.

Despite the deliberate destruction, you can see that this room was once used to display memorabilia from the First Crusade.

The three bodies here belonged a trio of paladins.

It looks to you like they attempted to retake the Gray Garrison on their own before you got there—they made it this far before being slain, their bodies distracting the abrikandilus for quite some time.

One of the paladins’ +1 adamantine morningstar lies discarded in the corner of the room—while the abrikandilus couldn’t break this object no matter how hard they tried, they did use it to pulverize the paladins’ bodies and gear, all of which is completely destroyed.

Kankai would sift through the bodies. Use to having to be a scavenger. It is honestly how she came about her equipment in the ruins this place was.

Spotting the Morningstar she would hold it up. "This looks like what broke everything else. Is someone adept at using them or wants it? Otherwise I would take it as a weapon. From what I can tell, these guys tried to take the garrison back before us and ended up here."

I don't know the make up of people and who has magical weapons. Plus, technically Kankai doesn't know its magic unless its that rare percentage that glows :P

He wasnt that concerned about the room at the moment, nor did he notice much of anything. What he did notice was sister Kyra, hurt. He scowled down at the creatures and closed his eyes taking a deep breath. He wasnt sure he liked the slight rage that was slowly building up in him the more they ran across the vile scum. He gripped his holy symbol and beseached his patrons aide... a wave of healing energy awashed over the room.

Are you okay sist... Kyra? He asked tentively checking on the dervish taking a deep breath finally noticing the fallen paladins fully and hearing Kankai.

I have some training with a morningstar such as that, if you dont have need of it I can use it, though I still favor The steel of Sarenrae.

He said as he moved from one paladin to the next doing what he could to give them proper last rites and clean up as much of the filth from them as he was able while the others readied themselves.

When we can, we must return these fallen heros to the inn as well for proper rites.

Kyra nods at Kelden as the healing magic washes over her. "I am okay now, Kelden." She looks around the room with a feeling of disgust at the terrible fate that befell the poor, valiant knights. "A grim reminder of the evil we go to face..."

She turns down the offer of the morningstar. "I have no desire for such an uncouth weapon. I hope another will use it to better effect than our fallen friends."

Morningstar added to the Loot Tracker until someone officially claims it. I think Kankai or Kelden would be the best to use it.

You feel the oppression of the enemy seem a little less for your efforts.

With no other exits out of here you are able to do healing and load shifting as you see fit before moving back into the defaced shrine.

Listening, you hear no alarms. There remains only the north door untested.

When you are ready, you take the north doorway and find the central chamber.
There used to be friezes of crusaders worshipping lawful good deities here, as well as wall mounted symbols, but these have been torn down and scratched to illegibility by impressive looking claws.

She would hook it to her belt to one side. Following the group she looked at the two doors then would carefully check for traps on the door on the left and also listen to it before moving to the door to the north.

Carilain moves with Kankai as she checks the doors. He positions himself so that anything that might burst through the doors would be flanked between himself and Kankai. Carilain doesn't have any experience at trapfinding, but he stays as alert as possible and keeps Grimstar drawn.

Kankai would make a gesture with her hands as if saying 'Yada Yada Yada' To indicate talking. She indicates she will open the door so the others can charge in.

Once everyone says they are ready she would make sure her sword is drawn and would open the door.

Opening the door you are brought up short.

Blood and filth smear floor of this long room. Six white stone statues of famous heroes line the hall—each clawed, bloodstained, partially smashed, or otherwise defaced.

At the far end of the hall, a raised dais holds an upturned alabaster
altar. Sitting atop the upside-down altar is a hideous mass of severed limbs that have been stitched together into a vile monstrous insectoid shape.
Before the dais, a number of ratty bedrolls have been laid out on the floor.
Robed cultists are gathered around the altar boasting and cackling with delight at the work they had done.
One of them turned and glanced at the opening door, widened his eyes, pointed and shouted "Crusaders! To arms!".

Carilain charged and swung with such force that when he missed, his sword would have slipped from his hand and sailed over the altar; but Grimstar had other plans. The hilt of Black Blade stuck to Carilain’s hand like it was glued there, and he recovered his grip on his sword.

Red 5 spotted Thetin. Screaming, he charged to attack!

He and Red 8, 9 and 10 laughed wildly as they moved up near Thetin. They all raised their Unholy Symbols high and called upon ‘Deskari !!’ to Channel Negative Energy. The multiple waves of harm inducing energy catches Carilain, Kelden, Kyra and Thetin.

He felt the wave of evil and unnatural energy wash over him, so he knew it had to effect his friends as well. Judging by the distance they were in he moved to put himself inot place to hopefully hit his friends and not their foes and he gripped the holy symbol and Sarenrae and countered their evil energy with the goddess's holy light.

Somehow, Carilain manages to avoid all the glaive attacks, though he knows that Alorah's magic is all that saved him from the first. Even as the vile, dark channeling saps his strength, Carilain draws on his pool of arcane energy to empower his black blade. With a quick step to lose a tactical disadvantage (5' step to J-5), Carilain attacks again, still holding his weapon with a two-handed grip.

A: The guys who channeled, Red 7, 8, 9, and 10, didn't look like they took any damage at all. Red 1, 2, 4, and 6 looked irritated. Red 3 and 5 jerked hard like they took damage.

Casting Grease on G3,G4,H3,H4. 3 & 4 will need to make Ref Save DC 14.

Kelden Sunblade
The first spiritual weapon struck true, injuring its target before fading out of existence.
The second one missed.

He felt the wave of evil and unnatural energy wash over him, so he knew it had to effect his friends as well. Judging by the distance they were in he moved to put himself into place to hopefully hit his friends and not their foes and he gripped the holy symbol and Sarenrae and countered their evil energy with the goddess's holy light.
His channel healed 6 to all allies but Carilain

Carilain Riveroak_____
Somehow, Carilain manages to avoid all the glaive attacks, though he knows that Alorah's magic is all that saved him from the first. Even as the vile, dark channeling saps his strength, Carilain draws on his pool of arcane energy to empower his black blade.
With a quick step to lose a tactical disadvantage (5' step to J-5), Carilain attacks again, still holding his weapon with a two-handed grip.
He delivers a modest hit to Red 1. He is hacked down.

Kankai the White_____

Red 2 grinned and attacked with his Glaive.

Red 3, tried to stand up. Ref save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 Success! He carefully made his way out of the Grease.
Red 4 stepped up to Carilain and also attacked with his Glaive.
Glaive attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 for a possible 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 slashing damage.
Red 6 also screamed ”Less chanting you @$%@#@, more hitting!”He shifted and attacked Thetin.
Glaive attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 for a possible 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 slashing damage.
Red 7 grinned and called out “Again, my brothers! AGAIN!”
He and Red 8, 9 and 10 all raised their Unholy Symbols high and called upon ‘Deskari ! Thine enemies are before us! DESKARII!!!’ to Channel Negative Energy. The multiple waves of harm inducing energy catches Carilain, Kankai, Kyra and Thetin.
Red 7 deals 1d6 ⇒ 4 damage.
Red 8 deals 1d6 ⇒ 2 damage.
Red 9 deals 1d6 ⇒ 6 damage.
Red 10 deals 1d6 ⇒ 5 damage.
