Zephram twists and turns, using his unnatural dexterity and the strange toughness of his sinewy body to keep him from being harmed by the incoming attacks. The unexpected shaking of the bridge comes as he's putting a foot down, but the sylph is light on his mutated feet and recovers, if only barely, and thanks to the heroism. That was close. Maybe I need to advance onto solid ground instead? Still, I need to make a space first.. . That thought in mind, he twists his blade trying to create an opening in the elf's defenses before striking.

Zephram lashed out, the elf wobbled and fell off the bridge with a splash.

Rezol slips off the bridge and hurtles towards the water below, howling in fury all the while.

Nakoda_____
Liz and Rezol hitting the water made her fear for Zephram, and in order to make sure he had a clear way out to retreat, she started firing arrows at anyone that could threaten a safe escape for him.

Perception DC15:
From the shouting in the elves foul language, there must be at least 2-3 more you can't see behind the scaffolding/smokescreen. And where is that leader elf?

Caughing, Red 7 appeared out of the smoke near Zephram.
Red 1 Hand crossbow attack vs Nakoda: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16 for a possible 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 piercing damage.
Red 5 Hand crossbow attack vs Nakoda: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 but the string snapped, and he threw it down with a foul curse, drew his sword and ran for the bridge.

Liz:
Splashing into the chill seawater, you are grateful the water is deep enough for you not to run into the rocky bottom.
Looking around, you see the black elf and Rezol in the water also on the other side of the pilings. The black elf recovers and starts swimming towards Rezol.
Then you get an even colder feeling, that of a person who realizes they are no longer the top of the food chain, when a black and white shadow loomed out of the distance and bit the elf in two with a snap, then turned towards Rezol.

Rezol:
Splashing into the chill seawater, you sink straight to the rocky bottom ten feet down.
Looking around, you see Liz swimming on the other side of the pilings, and the black elf in the water across the channel. The black elf recovers, pulls a blade and starts swimming towards you.
Then you get an even colder feeling, that of a person who realizes they are no longer the top of the food chain, when a black and white shadow loomed out of the distance and bit the elf in two with a snap, then turned and opened its bloodstained toothy maw to attack you.

Despite his heavy armor pulling him down and the creature bearing down on him, Rezol doesn't panic. Rather, he seems to grin beneath his helmet. "Not th' kind o' fight I was lookin' for!" he thinks to himself, struggling against the weight of his equipment.

Rezol attempts to move away from the creature to N:13 (full-round action).

Zephram looks behind himself and sees nowhere to back up, then shrugs, The smoke seems to be quite helpful, actually...

He pauses and watches the newcomer, studying his movements and shifting his own to something more like synchronicity, ...and he'll go left now... then dip... which means that I should attack... now.

With the opening, the Sylph lunges forward, trying to drive his rapier into his opponent, and shifting his attack with a sudden flash of insight.

Pausing in the middle of the lake, she put a finger to her chin and looked critically at the battlefield.
Then she gave a wicked grin, pointed at the rickety bridge, and spoke the words to a Shatter spell.

And, to make Zephrams day complete, the Orca loomed out of the depths…

The shattering of the bridge was evident to her ears, even if it was difficult to see. Unable to perceive much going on in the globes, she did assist Zephram in pulling himself out of the water and onto land. Out of immediate options, she readied her bow again for any sight of something that she could attack. With Rezol present, she did not worry for the direction that he headed into.

Female Human(Shoanti) Skald 8

Still being able to make out the vague shape of forms was something that could still be done, though it was difficult. She could see the forms of the others, so decided rather than wait for something to show itself-- which was something that was not likely to happen-- she raised her bow and fired another arrow at the individual that had shot at her twice already.

Her stamina for maintaining the chant was fading, though she had enough to keep it going for a little longer.
