Zephram Taranis |

Zephram nods at Liz's observation, "The question is whether we missed the one who belongs to this equipment, or if they got it looting sometime who drifted too close to their lair? "
He reaches to his belt and draws his extract of cure light wounds, hoping to close the multiple minor his he's taken.
CLW: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
As the healing magic flows through him, he offers a response to Zane, "I would think the logical response would be to proceed before they get a chance to realize what's happening and either fortify or pull out, taking any answers with them... But that assumes that we're still well enough to be effective. I can't speak for the others, but I've been fully restored, and am quite able to continue. In fact, I'm still protected by some of my draughts..."

Rezol Born-in-Steel |

Rezol helps carry what he can. "Ain't nothin' gonna keep me from a good fight," he says in a rather upbeat voice. "If yer able t' keep goin', I'm all for it."

Zephram Taranis |

Zephram nods his agreement with Zane, "I'm not really well-suited to carry much else... but I do think that's a good plan, Zane."
He pulls his cloak around himself and stretches his mutated limbs, not thinking about the unnaturalness of the movement and his bending, then smiles, "I believe I'm good to go... Let's be about it."

THE SEA CAVE
Passing through curtain covering the Western entrance, you come onto a remarkable sight.
Several thick, rocky natural pillars rise up in this high sea cave.
The water filling the lower portion of the enormous cavern sloshes and surges with the tide, and a five-foot-wide rocky beach lines the northeastern face of the pool.
The cave ceiling soars to a height of eighty feet.
To the south, several wooden platforms attached to the rock pillars are further supported by wooden pilings—the structure looks somewhat
treacherous.
The sound of rushing, falling water comes from the northern end of the chamber, where a thin cascade of water plummets from a narrow crack in the ceiling into the pool below.
On the platform in the middle you see another two of the dark elf guards.
What do you do?

Zephram Taranis |

Zephram nods and smiles, "A stealthy strode surprise approach is usually a good one... Especially if it keeps them distracted while the heavy fighters close from behind. "

Zephram Taranis |

Zephram points at the elves, then to a side, shadowy path, before starting sneaking foward.
Stealth: 1d20 + 17 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 17 + 2 = 28

Round 1
Zephram Taranis_____
Zephram nods and smiles, "A stealthy strode surprise approach is usually a good one... Especially if it keeps them distracted while the heavy fighters close from behind. "
LizArdoc_____
When Zephram and the others are ready, Liz goes out with him to sneak up to the elves and fight
Rezol Born-in-Steel_____
Rezol nods, the flat of his blade laying on his shoulder. He stays put, waiting for his chance to act.
Zephram Taranis_____
Zephram points at the elves, then to a side, shadowy path, before starting sneaking foward.
Zane Argentus_____
Before they advance, Zane draws one of his wands. "This will only last a brief wile but it should help."
With a flick of the wand at each of his cocompanions, they vanish form sight. cast Vanish on each of Liz and Zephraim, lasts 5 rounds + 20 to stealth
Liz Stealth: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21+20=41
Zephram Stealth: 1d20 + 17 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 17 + 2 = 28+20=48
Liz and Zeprham, invisible, move down the pathway around the wall of the sea cave. They clamber up the ladder to the first platform.
Guard 1 Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31
Guard 2 Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31
In a heart stopping moment, the guards turn and stare up at the passageway; but after a few seconds, they go back to their conversation.

LizArdoc |

Wow, just wow! Two 19s!
Liz will move up to the elf and unleash two viscous stabs at him, becoming visible..

DM-Camris |

Liz's sneaky glee turned into consternation as she put her foot on the middle of the span. The shoddy construction squeeled as it sagged and swayed under her feet. Loudly.
This has two effects.
First, Liz must make an immediate Reflex save DC15 or be dumped into the drink ten feet below.
And if she makes that, she must make an immediate Acrobatics check DC15 or have to stop to recover her balance. If she makes that, she can continue her move as normal.
IF Zephram follows her path, he has to do the same things.
Second, the elves get a second perception check.
Guard 1 Perception: 1d20 + 12 + 20 ⇒ (16) + 12 + 20 = 48 Success!
Guard 2 Perception: 1d20 + 12 + 20 ⇒ (17) + 12 + 20 = 49 Success!
With a shout, the guards turn and whip out their hand crossbows!
They take aim at the center span, but are puzzled they can't see anything, so they hold their fire. One signals to the other to move out to check the span while he stays there covering him. But they can't take their actions yet, it's the middle of Liz's and Zephrams, (and maybe the others who might hear the shout).

Zephram Taranis |

Zephram rushes past the dangerous span, setting himself up to attack the elf who approaches to explore.
Reflex: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 9 + 2 = 20
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 15 + 2 = 31

DM-Camris |

Liz is forced to pause mid span, arms windmilling to recover her balance.
Zephram, despite the shoddy goblin construction, is able to maintain his poise and balance (1d100 ⇒ 12 almost running into invisible Liz as he does so) as he moved across.
Using his full move he is able to make contact with Red 2 and can make his attack now.

Nakoda |
The grip on the spear in her hands was tight as she shuffled a step forward at the shout that was heard. THere were no further shouts or sounds of battle, so Nakoda grudgingly hesitated, looking a the others to see what their responses were. Losing any of them was unacceptable, and losing anyone else was something that she was not willing to tolerate at this point.
Gritting her teeth at the indecision, she grudgingly waited.

Rezol Born-in-Steel |

Rezol waits as quietly as he can, knowing full-well that his companions would be in quite a tough spot if he started clanking around. Beneath his helmet, he grits his teeth.

Zephram Taranis |

Couldn't see you to help make sure you didn't fall over. However, I assume the elves can't see you and plan to stabby-stabby him while he's looking.

Will wait so we can flank -- and activate studied combat instead.

Rezol Born-in-Steel_____
Rezol waits as quietly as he can, knowing full-well that his companions would be in quite a tough spot if he started clanking around. Beneath his helmet, he grits his teeth.
Enemies_____
The second black elf moves down to the bridge span, passing invisible Zephram, and stops with one foot on the span, concentrating on listening for whatever made the bridge groan.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23
The other one remained where he was, covering his buddy with his hand crossbow.

Zephram Taranis |

I'm guessing we can't get flanking because we're both invisible -- so it's best that Zephram attacks first to give Liz her sneak attack?

Zephram Taranis |

Zeltyieli steps forward and tries to impale the dark elf on his rapier, and distracting it from Liz.
Rapier: 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 9 + 2 + 2 = 27 (+2 Heroism, +2 Studied)
Damage: 1d6 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 2 + 2 = 12 (+2 Heroism, +2 Studied)

Rezol Born-in-Steel |

Once he hears the clamor of Liz and Zephram engaging, Rezol presses a hand to his breastplate to channel Gorum's might, before he takes off running to join the fray.
Rezol casts Divine Favor (standard action, 0/5 1st level spells remain today) and moves towards the enemies (move action).

2- [DC14] (3/day) restoration, lesser (0/1), spiritual weapon (1/1)

Nakoda |
Getting to the melee was something that was going to be difficult, but Nakoda was more worried about the other elves that they did not see. The location was rather precarious for just two elves, and the commotion was undoubtedly likely to bring more. A flash of realization crossed her mind, and she wondered if they were going to encounter a dark elf city if they kept this up. Already they were finding more than she had anticipated, and thus far, it did not seem like it was going to slow anytime soon.
She withheld the chant until Rezol got into the melee, seeing as the others needed their wits more than they needed the strength, and began to measure the amount of potential space that she was going to have to cross to secure their backs. She did not like what she saw, and stowed the spear, readying the bow that had seen enough use lately.

"Well, well! We meet again little heroes!" she said, then leveled her crossbow at Nakoda and fired.

Zephram Taranis |

Zephram turns on his heel, watching the dark-skinned elf approaching him, He seems to follow a similar style to the others.... Ah, but he favours his left a bit more that the last one... Convinced that he understands his opponent enough to anticipate his attacks, he lashes out with his rapier.
