Fort: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 That, less lucky. Zephram fall down go boom.

Nakoda |
In between the chants, Nakoda shouted "Move!" to Zane. Where she was, she could not get to the elf without going through Zane, and having him be threatened by that elf when she could be fighting was not something that she wanted to be doing. So when Zane stepped back, she moved forward, attacking eagerly.

Rezol Born-in-Steel |

Rezol frowns beneath his helmet as he sees the elf start to back away. "The fun ain't o'er yet, lad. Do try t' keep thin's int'restin'!" Once again, the Gorumite's blade arcs out, some of the blood on the sword flying off to splatter against the tunnel wall and ceiling.

Nakoda |
Fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 HP:42
Nakoda kept the Warchant going, and only smiled at the elf as the momentary drowsiness was shaken off as if it were not even there. She kept attacking, providing a distraction for the elf as she saw Rezol cut down his opponent. Unless the elf that she was fighting escaped immediately, it was not likely that he was going to make it out of the cave.

Sneak attack: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 2) = 8

DM-Camris |

Rezol destroys his opponent in a spray of blood and assorted body parts. Nakoda, Liz and Zane coordinate their attacks and lay the last guard low.
The battle is over. Silence descends once more in the gallery.
Searching the bodies you find all three armed equally alike.
potion of cure light wounds;
masterwork chain shirt,
masterwork small steel shield,
masterwork rapier,
masterwork hand crossbow with 8 bolts
bottle of drow sleep poison, 5 doses
Jewelry (earring, ring, buttons) appraised at 250 crowns total (on each guy).
expensive silk shirt and finely tooled belt, boots and gloves. appraised at 100 crowns total (on each guy).
With the force you put on these guys, the condition of the clothing and armor is 'broken'.
This is very strange. Other than the pitch black skin and bone white hair, the physiology of the guards is just like an elf.

DM-Camris |

You search the bodies, but other than the small bottles of the poison itself, you don't find anything you recognize as an antidote.
Searching the room, you find only the table, chairs and a mound of rubble in the middle of the floor.

Rezol Born-in-Steel |

Rezol rests his weapon on his shoulder, blood dripping from the blade. "'at was fun," he says simply, clearly smiling underneath his helmet. He walks over to Dahlia and starts tapping on the side of her face, gently. "Wake up, lass, we ain't done yet."

Nakoda |
It took Nakoda a few seconds to find herself after the fight was over, and then went about examining what their opponents were equipped with. Despite the state of their weapons and armor-- which brought a small smile to her face-- she set about collecting it. It would serve a purpose later. The bodies themselves were dragged out of the way. Finally, she calmed down enough to speak, and the first thing she did was ask a question.
"Unfamiliar el--", she started to say, then remembered something. "Same as the woman that we fought under the goblin!" This many appearances of these strange elves was not coincidence, but what were they stuck in the middle of now?

DM-Camris |

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 3 + 2 = 25
After a minute or so of cajoling, both Zephram and Dahlia recover from the poison and sit up.
Without Nakoda's Light spell, the wierd purple-black illumination spheres the strange elves were using turns your skin black and some of your clothing to fluoresce.
Looking down the west passage, you can see thirty feet before darkness prevents you from seeing further.
Looking down the east passage, you can see fifty feet before the passage ends sealed in a rockfall. From your vantage in the chamber, you can see something against the right hand wall near the rockfall.

DM-Camris |

When Liz approached the end of the passageway, she sees on the right hand side another passageway starting there. Only a couple of feet in it is blocked by a construction.
This barricade appears as a wall of wood covered with spidery runes.

Zephram Taranis |

Zeltyieli says, "You know of these strange elves? You called them 'drow'? What can you tell us about them? Do they share the same abilities as light-skinned elves?"
He drinks one of his extracts, then dresses another bottle which he swishes in his mouth before spring back into the bottle. That should help if there's more combat..
Alchemical Allocation on the potion of Heroism (+2 morale to attack, saves and skill checks for 40 minutes)

Rezol Born-in-Steel |

Rezol chuckles, tapping the flat of his sword against his pauldron. "So I've got plenty o' reason' t' cut 'em down? Bring 'em on, then," he says in a jubilant tone, significantly more cheery than he had been before this expedition started.

Zephram Taranis |

Zephram says, "Evil elves? Like Duregar, then? Interesting... ". He takes off as his mind considers possibilities... Do all races have evil counterparts -offshoots, really- then? I can see how there might easily be dark fae Aklo-speaking gnomes, but what would be the evil humans? Or halflings?..

Zephram Taranis |

Zephram nods, bringing him back to the two at hand. "Scouting. Right. Keep a safe distance.", he mutters then starts creeping ahead in the darkness.
Stealth: 1d20 + 17 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 17 + 2 = 25

DM-Camris |

Scouting down the Western passage, you travel some thirty feet of what looks like an enlarged natural tunnel some seven feet wide. You come out in a larger 40'x 40'natural cavern with a sandy floor and two other passageways out of here. It doesn't take a tracker to see the passage of many feet here.

Rezol Born-in-Steel |

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Rezol's ears perk up beneath his helmet as he hears some soft muttering coming from the south. "The Hells? Ya folks hear 'at?" he questions the rest of the group, pointing towards the direction it's coming from with the butt of his sword.

Zephram Taranis |

Perception: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 12 + 2 = 16
Zephram nods, the movement unnatural with his elongated, mutated neck and also taps his ear, hoping his darkvision can find the source of the noise in the darkness.

Nakoda |
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Stealth: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Nakoda had not recast the light spell on the coin in her hand yet, since there was nothing that they needed to see yet. While the others were being quiet, she was having trouble walking quietly in the dark. Or, in her case, attempting to walk quietly in the relative dark. That worked out about as well as she expected, as she was not one for being silent, really. Reconsidering her decision, she cast the spell on the coin in her hand, but kept her hand closed tightly until it was necessary.

DM-Camris |

Something black and terrifying unfolded from the wall of the cavern and pounce attacked Rezol! Only the shadowy teeth and claws of this bat winged shape have any sense of physicality to it, the rest is lost in the shadows.
Claw attack 1 vs Rezol touch AC: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15 Hit! for 1d6 ⇒ 3 slashing damage plus 1d6 ⇒ 6 cold damage.
Claw attack 2 vs Rezol touch AC: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29 Hit! for 1d6 ⇒ 5 slashing damage plus 1d6 ⇒ 4 cold damage.
Bite attack vs Rezol touch AC: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23 Hit! for 1d8 ⇒ 5 piercing damage plus 1d6 ⇒ 3 cold damage.

DM-Camris |

Round 1___________________
There is enough room in the cavern to surround Rezol, the shadow creature is medium sized and takes up one square next to Rezol. No map for now.
