Looks around to every one.
"Its a little big for my Mending spell as of now. But we can hold on to it for a bit im sure we can fix it later. I have a bag of holding we can put it in for now."

Trihedron |

Tamis skirts along the wall of the room , trying to stay as far away from the ants as possible. She looks around the room carefully, slowly inching towards the far hallway
[dice=Perception]1d20+11
"If you want to burn 'em with fire, be my guest." Tamis replies.
Tamis had said she was proceeding to the far hallway, did she not?

DM Bigrin |

Hmm...I thought she got sidetracked by the presence of the horse. And when no more posts were forthcoming... never mind. It is always a rough start until I can figure out what my players are trying for.
Tamis continued to head for the hallway, with Wesley right beside her. They almost made it.
Side by side, the two stepped towards the hallway opening. It was almost comical the way they looked at each other when the floor began to fall away beneath them.
I need a Ref save from Tamis and Wesley's dog. If Wesley chooses to make his own save, he can, or he can elect to hang on and whatever happens happens.

Tamis Thimble |

Tamis feels the floor shift beneath her and tries to move out of the way.
Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

DM Bigrin |

Fortunatly for Tamis, Wesley, and the dog, the pit isn't lined with sharps spikes. The trio crashed to the floor, about twenty feet below, landing in a tangle of limbs, fur, and equipment. The fall bruised them up pretty bad, but no one died. Looking about, Tamis and Wesley can see that the sides of the pit are sheer and quite smooth. From above, the others watched as a 10' x 10' section of the floor folded in on itself with a loud clang. Tamis, Wesley, and his dog disappeared into a dark hole in the floor.
Tamis, Wesley, and the dog each take falling: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 6) = 9 damage from the fall

Trihedron |

Trihedron rushes to the border of the pit to make sure her sister and Wesley are safe, while keeping her eyes on the far end of the hallway, in case the noise attracted any attention.
Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31
DM Bigrin, did the trapdoor close again, or is it still open?

Tamis Thimble |

"Well that stung..." Tamis moans, stretching out her sore body. Looking up at the sheer wall of the pit she shakes her head slightly Can't believe I missed seeing this.
Tamis reaches around and procures her wand of Cure light wounds from her bag, and touches herself, Wesley, and his dog.
CLW Wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
CLW Wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
CLW Wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

bob the bard |

"here I have a rope to help you up, but I'll need a hand holding it."
Bob gets his rope out and ready to go

Abroshqualmie |

Abrosh races to the edge of the pit You can probably save your wand
He immediately channels energy get all within 30 feet. What looks like a burst of flame rockets out from the gnome soothing everyone around
3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 6) = 12

Trihedron |

Trihedron offers her assistance to Eva in getting the others outside of the pit, but before she does, she addresses them - "What do you find in there? Any traces of former victims?"
Search it! :D

Tamis Thimble |

Tamis feels Abroshqualmie's healing energy wash over her.
"My thanks."
Using the rope Tamis attempts to lift herself out of the pit.
Take 10 on Climb = 21

Trihedron |

"Search the pit before ascending sister" - Tamis requests - "We may find useful information or gear from previous explorations"

Tamis Thimble |

"Well thought sis. This is why you were the adventurer not me." Tamis responds.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25

Tamis Thimble |

Not finding anything. "It seems to be way too clean down here..." Tamis mentions
Tamis uses the rope to climb out of the pit, takes a deep breath, skirts along the pits edge and peers into the hallway.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27

Wesley Furfoot |

"That was unpleasant--thank you for the healing. Can we make a rope sling and pull my dog out?"
Wesley opens his pack of many things. "I should pack a collapsible ladder next time."
Wesley annotates '30' collapsible ladder' neatly on a parchment. He looks at his huge stash of rope hoping the dog could be hauled out.

Trihedron |

Puzzled by the fact that the pit is almost empty, Trihedron assists her sister, Wesley and his dog getting out of the trapped hole, then joins Tamis in peering and listening along the hallway.
Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33
If nothing seems out of the ordinary, she nods again at her sister - "Let us move on, we will wait for your check" - but then adds with a smile - "If you'd rather I scouted with you, let me know Tamis"

DM Bigrin |

Trihedron |

Looking at the impromptu obstacle before them, Trihedron comments to her companions - "I believe I can vault over this pit - perhaps I can carry a rope to the other side, and all can simply navigate it by descending on this end, and ascending on the other?"
We've got the running space, so this should be a DC10 Jump, correct DM Bigrin?

Trihedron |

Looking around the group in expectation, and without any forthcoming reply, Trihedron decides to take matters in her own hands. Checking her pack, and confirming the silk rope is in there, she takes a few steps back and jumps across the pit.
Acrobatics (Jump) DC10: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (9) + 15 = 24
Landing gracefully on the other side of the pit, she immediately stands at the ready, watching if her actions have drawn any unwanted attention.
Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24

Tamis Thimble |

Seeing her sister charge the pit and jump to the other side gracefully Tamis immediately sets up, and rushes the pit attempting to clear it, though not nearly as cleanly as her elder sister.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Taking a breather as she just barely clears the pit, Tamis stands guard near her sister while they wait on the others to get across.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20

Trihedron |

Assuming we are safe on the other side of the pit for the time being:
Once on the other side, and protected by her sister's presence, Trihedron urges her companions to cross over - "Let us move along friends. You can drop down the pit safely enought I believe - I and Tamis will assist with the climb on this end"

bob the bard |

Acrobatics : 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Bob missing treys to chach him self and fails
Ref: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

DM Bigrin |

Bob, not wishing the indignity of having to be lowered like cargo, takes a running leap. His feet slip as he pushed off, and hit hit the far wall of the hole. Hands scrabbling at the floor above, he wasn't able to catch himself and he fell back into the blackness.
Bob takes 2d6 ⇒ (5, 5) = 10 damage
As he lay on his back, he looked up to see a light descending towards him, and Abroshqualmie's smiling face grinning down at him as the gnome descended on his rope.

Trihedron |

"That was risky Bob" - Trihedron says with half a smile, after confirming that her companion is ok - "Now lets get you up here, shall we?" - she adds, motioning for the rope.

DM Bigrin |

The hallway you were all standing in ran north and south. The southern route continued into the darkness. To the north, the hallway opened into a largish room, whose doors were laying on the ground, knocked down by adventurer or monster or geographic event. Something major had certainly occurred here, as a trio of arrows were embedded in the doorjamb, and the jambs, floor, and walls around the area looked to be melted or distorted somehow. The foul smell that assaulted you when you first entered the dungeon came at you even stronger here, and seemed to emanate from the north.
Everyone needs to make me another DC 10 Fort save or all rolls are at a -2 penalty.

Tamis Thimble |

"We've come to rescue someone. I vote we head towards where we have seen fighting. Doesn't seem like you come down here if you don't want to fight. So I'm in favour of going left(North)." Tamis responds, steeling herself against the smell.
Fort Save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

Trihedron |

Fortitude: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Really..? I only needed a freaking 3... DM Bigrin, how long does the effect last?
Almost wretching from the disgusting smell, Trihedron agrees with her sister after recovering somewhat - "You are right Tamis, will you go ahead and check the room?"
Still she tries to maintain her senses alert.
Perception: 1d20 + 14 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 14 - 2 = 29
