Wesley Furfoot |

Weley apologizes:
"I am sorry I could not avoid you, Tamis. I will be more careful next time. My previous missions have been solo missions; I will work on being a better teammate."
As soon as the door is open, Wesley resumes his spot in the front on his dog.
Take 10 for 33 stealth.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Tamis Thimble |

Tamis looks grateful at Abroshqualmie "Oh my Gods you are a life saver." Tamis thanks, feeling his soothing magic wash over her, the burn receding into red marks and then nothing.
She then turns to Wesley, her eye alight with fury. "Fire does not solve everything you un-bearded Cretin!"
I hope that man gets hit with something big.
Taking a big breath in, Tamis rejoins her sister, trying to walk off her growing anger.

Trihedron |

Trihedron approaches her sister - "Are you ok Tamis? You got me worried there for a second sister" - trying to keep her voice calm, and showing a smile, but the nervousness showing in her eyes.
Turning to the others, she adds - "I believe we may need to change our scouting logic - perhaps having two scouts? Four eyes are more perceptive than two"

Tamis Thimble |

"I could help scout, got some pretty keen sight, and know my way around traps." In theory. Tamis replies to Evangline.

Trihedron |

"Let us try it sister - this is a dangerous place, so do not take any unnecessary risks, and make sure your checks are thorough" - Trihedron nods gravely to her sister.
Seeing Wesley just wade in through the door, she shakes her head, and moves to the opening that apparently leads to another corridor, just north of the door entrance, peering into the darkness.
Moving to AE:25, and peering down the tunnel.
"Make sure he doesn't get himself killed" - she nods at her sister, and towards the door Wesley has just crossed - "But don't go past the door - let me take a look at this tunnel, so we do not get outflanked"
Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22<- (+2 bonus to Perception vs unusual stonework. Free check within 10 feet)
Wow... My Perception rolls are trying to get me killed :D And I just remembered we should have checked that cave in back there, to see if something/someone was buried there...

Tamis Thimble |

Tamis nods at Evangline and start inching towards the side cave, cautious for anything out of the ordinary. here goes nothing.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
Stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Know(Dung): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Wesley Furfoot |

Wesley points to the door, obviously in a hurry.
"Anyone want to be enlarged before the door is opened?" he communicates through his spell.
Mage armor + tiny

Trihedron |

We're actually searching the other tunnel Wesley :D

Trihedron |

True, but we had decided to take a look nonetheless, to make sure there are no forthcoming surprises.

DM Bigrin |

Having satisfied themselves that the small tunnel was indeed empty of threat, and the door was as well, the companions examined the hallway. It too was clear of threat, though at every step someone expected the walls to close, spikes to jut out of the ceiling, or the floor to give way. None of these things happened, though, and the scouts made it to the far door. Opening the door, after ensuring it was trap free, you can see a large room.
Broken candleabras and a ratty red carpet were left in this room, and no adventurer has seen fit to remove them. On the carpet, in the center of the room is a wooden casket. From the door you can see that it was once finely carved, probably with gold or silver trim, but that is all gone now. The wood has been hacked and defaced by hundreds of adventurers over the years.

Tamis Thimble |

Tamis slowly inches towards the coffin centered in the room, suspicious of everything after the prior encounter.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
know(dung): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Tamis Thimble |

"It looks clear." Tamis calls back to the group, and starts inching towards the stairs at the back of the room.

Abroshqualmie |

Abrosh dances forward and leans on the coffin
Anyone need a nap? he says tapping his charred arms on the wood
Before moving in he casts resistance on himself

Trihedron |

"Hopefully it is clear" - Trihedron adds, moving into the room, checking the coffin further for any tracks of its purpose, while keeping an eye on the closeby stairs and tunnel.
Any other remarkable stuff in the room DM Bigrin?

bob the bard |

bob starts looking under the carpet
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

DM Bigrin |

The room is completely clear, and the small tunnel leading out from the southeastern corner appears clear as well, going another twenty feet before narrowing down to a hole no more than two foot high.
Bob checked under the carpet to find unmarked stone flooring. There are no signs of indications why the carpet or coffin are here.

Trihedron |

"I do not understand the presence of such coffin in this room..." - Trihedron ponders.
Knowledge (Religion): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
"I believe the way to go now is through the stairs. Lead the way sister"
This room has no other door besides the one we entered through, right?

Tamis Thimble |

"Phew, was worried someone was going to think the tunnel was a good idea." Tamis states with relief.
She heads towards the stairs quietly, cautious of everything around her.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
Stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19

DM Bigrin |

Tamis moved towards the stairs, looking for any signs of danger. While she couldn't see or hear anything in the area beyond the stairs, she did notice that one of the steps seemed slightly different than the others. Carfully, she approached the stair and tried to discern what had caught her attention. She finally decided that it was slightly askew, compared to the other steps.

Tamis Thimble |

"Be cautious of this step. It doesn't appear trapped, but then, the roof didn't appear loaded with burning slime, so better safe then sorry." Tamis calls back, motioning at the askew step.
She carefully steps over it and heads further down the stairs.

DM Bigrin |

Tamis steps gingerly over the step and moves to the base of the stairs. There she can see a room piled full of broken furniture, crates, barrels, and other debris. The only intact piece of furniture is a table in the center of the room and a skeleton in a large chair at the table, facing the stairs. The skeleton appears to quiver slightly until Tamis sees large, red poisonous-looking ants crawling all over the bones and the chair. On the table is a deck of cards with the ace of spaces showing. A tapping sound emanates from the hallway beyond. The air appears even fouler here, if that is possible.

Trihedron |

Want me to poke it with my spear? We could see what happens! Abrosh says a little too excited
Trihedron shakes her head and smiles - "Sure... Just let us move away a tad, and then you can do it"
She follows along closely behind her sister, peering into the room beyond.
Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20

Tamis Thimble |

Tamis skirts along the wall of the room , trying to stay as far away from the ants as possible. She looks around the room carefully, slowly inching towards the far hallway
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
"If you want to burn 'em with fire, be my guest." Tamis replies.

Trihedron |

"Wait!" - Trihedron warns - "There may be useful items in here - we should not burn anything before confirming"

Trihedron |

"Can you be that precise?" - Trihedron questions.
