If I move to bc 33 can I do a blind channel or would the rubble pile stop it from getting to the woman? Is that too meta? If so double move to be 32. I will add rp once I know which one I do.

Nope. From there, the rubble pile provides total cover, thus stopping the burst effect of the channel.

Cresting the rubble pile, you charge in, easily dispatching the remaining two rats. The woman gives you a smile of thanks before hurling a bag of fine powder in your faces. As you cough and blink, you can feel the powder burning at your sinuses. At the same time, from high on the walls, three figures lean out from sheltered alcoves and begin firing arrows into your midst.

Tamis and Bob each take an arrow, and immediately feel dizzy as some substance coating the barbed shafts burns in their veins. Then, with a squaking frenzy, another 5 of the giant dire rats charge out of the tunnels, led by a wererat in hybrid form. The wererat's rapier dove into Tamis' arm, and again she felt the creeping numbness spreading from the wound.

Round 8:

Ambush!
Everyone needs to make a DC15 Fort save or take 1d6 ⇒ 1 Con damage.

Tamis needs to make 2 DC18 Fort saves against poison or take 1d3 ⇒ 2 Con damage from the first, and 1d3 ⇒ 2 Con damage from the second.

Bob needs to make a DC18 Fort save against poison or take 1d3 ⇒ 3 Con damage.

Tamis takes 5 damage from the arrow, and 4 damage from the rapier.

Bob takes 6 damage from the arrow.

Eva easily drops the nearest rat and grins at the "helpless female", who pales visibly. The woman swung her sword at the giant, but not very effectively. Another rat disintegrates in a ball of fire as Abroshqualmie's spell takes effect. The wererat managed to shake off the effects of Bob's spell, but took a massive blow from Tamis as he was distracted. Trihedron moves up the rubble wall to see what the noise is all about.

The wererat recovers and lashes out at Tamis with blade and teeth. Both connect, hard, and Tamis reels back with blood streaming from the blade wound in her side, and her cheek laid open from the wererat's teeth. Then, another rain of arrows came down, one piercing Bob's left hand.

All but Wesley and Abrosh are hasted

haste:

Haste effects

The transmuted creatures move and act more quickly than normal. This extra speed has several effects.

When making a full attack action, a hasted creature may make one extra attack with one natural or manufactured weapon. The attack is made using the creature's full base attack bonus, plus any modifiers appropriate to the situation. (This effect is not cumulative with similar effects, such as that provided by a speed weapon, nor does it actually grant an extra action, so you can't use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round.)

A hasted creature gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +1 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves. Any condition that makes you lose your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) also makes you lose dodge bonuses.

All of the hasted creature's modes of movement (including land movement, burrow, climb, fly, and swim) increase by 30 feet, to a maximum of twice the subject's normal speed using that form of movement. This increase counts as an enhancement bonus, and it affects the creature's jumping distance as normal for increased speed. Multiple haste effects don't stack. Haste dispels and counters slow.

Both rays hit the rats, and Wesley retreats back to the other side of the pile. His dog is moving extra fast. Hasted dog easily brings Wesley back to the safe side of the pile. If one of the rats is down in front of the lady, rays will both target the same rat.

Abrishqualmie's ball of fire burned one of the large dire rats to cinders, while Wesley's burning rays took care of the others. One of the wererats in the nearest alcove fell to the cave floor, peppered with arrows from Trihedron's bow. His lycanthrope skin was just not tough enough to turn aside so many powerful arrows. Evangline growled at the deceptive woman before her and smashed her to the ground with heavy blows. The woman tried to rise, but the barbarian's final blow crushed her to the ground for good. Bob tried to strike the wererat leader, but his crystalline sword had little effect on the wererat. Tamis, however, had better luck. The wererat's head flew through the air, landing to roll on the cave ground for a few feet, severed by the dwarf's mighty blow. Up in the alcoves, the remaining two ambushers looked at each other and then bolted, scurrying through tunnels at the back of the alcoves.

Looking up from the storm of combat, still blinking the itching dust from your eyes, you can see that this hallway appears to be a nexus of smaller tunnels, with a half dozen or so tunnels intersecting in this open space. There is also a wide staircase to the west, leading down in to the darkness.

Here's the map

"A cloak like mine that lets you hide and a magic rapier!!"

Wesley hands over the items to others, as he has little use for them.

"We ready to head on? I will probably want to replenish spells at some point, but for now I have some rays left."

"I could use a Shortbow, but all of these are too small."

Tamis jumps a little with shock as Bob mentions the risk of Lycanthropy. "I feel fine. I could feel some of those rapiers and teeth were likely poisoned, but dwarves are made of sterner stuff then most of you, and I don't feel any effects from that." Tamis laughs nervously before looking over at her approaching sister. "Thank you for you concern sis, but really, I'm fine. A couple of rats aren't going to mess with me."

Trying to take her mind of the risk of lycanthropy, Tamis looks over the items. "If that cloak truly does what you say it does, I wouldn't mind it. I suspect I'll still be out front, and anything to keep me out of sight would be most welcome."

Tamis starts to climb back over the pile of debris. "Be right back. Need to go grab my bow, no way am I leaving that thing down here for someone else!"

Tamis will run and grab it and quickly return to group.
