Onyx bone may be hard, but it certainly did not provide very good purchase when it came to standing up on a slippery floor. As the skeletons flailed about, Tamis and Evangline crushed the badly wounded one to the ground, sending its unnatural movements. The one next to Tamis managed to make it to its feet, though its attacks were far off.
Abrosh's channeled energy washed over the remaining skeletons, siphoning off necromantic energies and sending a rain of tiny onyx slivers to the ground. Meanwhile, Bob ducked and blocked a pair of shortswords, barely fending them off, and constantly looking over his shoulder to see if there was any place to retreat to.

Wesley moves to where the gnome is politely asking him to step aside.

When Wesley gets where the gnome is, he opens his hands and a fountain of flame ignites the three skeletons to the right and set the grease on fire under two of them.

A flurry of blunt arrows from Trihedron's bow sent another of the skeletons crashign to the floor in pieces, while Evangline and Tamis chipped away at their foe. Wesley, coming in close for the first time in the combat, pushed his dog past Abroshqalmie and let loose a stream of fire from his fingertips. The fire charred the already blackened bone from two of the skeletons caught in the blast. It also appeared to have dried out the grease somewhat, as both skeletons regained their feet. Black blades flashed, and blood flew in the air. Tamis, Eva, and Wesley all took minor wounds from the onyx blades, none very serious.

Abroshqualmie's channeled energies flowed over the black skeletons with little effect. One, however, splintered and broken from the beating Tamis and Eva had been giving it, crumpled to the ground, the necromantic energies that animated it finally depleted. The corridor lit up again as Wesley's fiery spell ripped into the skeletons that remained. The magical fire charred the black bone and the two skeletons looked severely weakened by the spell. Taking advantage, Trihedron dropped one with a flurry of blunt-tipped arrows, while Tamis and Eva struggled to down the other, with little effect. The lone skeleton struck back at Eva, one of its shortswords nicking her left arm.

The last skeleton went down under a hail of arrow fire, and the companions breathed a sigh of relief. Sticking her head into the open doorway to make sure there were no more skeletons there, Tamis saw a small room with a chest in one corner.
congratulations! that was a difficult fight, and was intended to be so. Thank wesley for the Grease, or you might have had some serious casualties.

She slowly creeps towards the chest, Checking anything and everything for traps, getting to the chest she carefully checks for anything suspicious.

The chest is not locked, nor is it in the best of conditions. It opens easily, though the hinges pop and groan with age and wear. Inside is an assortment of gear and treasure, obviously taken from prior adventures and varying in age from recent to ancient. Most of the items were junk, but there was a nice-looking amulet, a scroll that hadn't completely deteriorated, a pair of medium blue potions, and a dozen gems.
