I suppose the Entangle I cast never happened....In which case allow me to say the following.

"GIT YER *insert colorful curse* BACK AWAY FROM DERE! DON'T YOU KNOW A VARMINT TRAP WHEN YA SEE ONE! ERASTIL ONLY KNOWS WHAT THEY KEEP IN DAT BIG 'OLE!"

Turning to Telias:

Not really sure how Bron was raised, but I do not think that common sense was part of his upbringing.

Master of Gaming and Grognardia Current map

Sorry I somehow missed your post about entangle. I keep speed reading and miss a lot of stuff. Plus there aren't really any plants in the area, however I have always allowed entangle to work on a area with workable soil so you couldn't do it on a stone floor on a mansion, but there's more than enough workable soil on the ceiling here for it to be let off.

The many roots on the ceiling come alive and wrap around the giant Tick that Grabbles is holding onto. He grits his teeth as they attempt to break out of it and the giant tick manages to tear through the entanglement, moving away. but only at half speed, so it isn't as far as they were origonally.

reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Str Check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

Where exactly did the entangle land? I can't find where it landed exactly and if the others are going to cross the enangle will need to be shut down. The (D) on duration means you can pre-maturly end it if oyu wish. That's something I just learned myself :p.

Sir Bronwyn says a very effective taunt, however the mite turns it's head to the side, not knowing what he has just said and continues on it's way.

As Jameson grabs onto one of the many knobs on the ceiling and stays on, though there is a rumble as the sound of a centipede, bigger than you've ever seen starts to ascend from below and approch from the north end. It is the biggest Centipede you guys have ever seen, bigger than those in the room filled with eggs you went through earlier.

Giant Whiptail Centipede

no one has posted for Lukan sooo...

Lukan moves over by Jameson, but doesn't grasp onto the many roots, getting ready to face this monster that's making it's way here.

I assume Ganit used his arrow to try and hit the Tick. Also this centipede is FAR bigger than those :D

waiting on Telis and sorry for the hold up. I was meant to post in the morning (it's now quarter to 11...PM) but I've woken up ill. Terrible stumach aches and...well other things you can imagine go with that but I won't go into disgusting details.

And this is what I get for expressing my personal fears to you people. THANKS Aron! :p Also, now's the time to say 'thanks for forcing the RETCON Telias.'

Ganit's stomach turns and runs at the sight of the centipede barreling towards them. "By the Gods! The day just gets worst and worst..."

I'll give my actions later since I'll probably just shoot at it so I'll need to know where everybody is to get a clear shot. Also, does anyone know how long it takes to set up a bear trap in combat?

Female Changling(Hulking) Sorcerer - Orc Bloodline/5 - HP: 12/28; AC16,T14,FF13

Which of its 100 legs are you going to attempt to trap?

I ready an action to use my Touch of Rage on Lukan as soon as the Centipede gets within range to attack.

Lukan

After moving forward, Lukan fires his bow at the centipede, or the tic if he cannot see the centipede. He then switches to his scimitar and shield in preparation for the centipede attack as his move action.

I didnt force a retcon I posted an action and it got ignored. I didnt post the square i threw the entangle in because i just wasnt sure how far telias could toss it seeing as I cant see in the dark nor really tell how far a 40ft radius could reach into the cave and I wasnt getting an answer. I got no response so apparently it didnt happen at all. I'm still trying to make sense of the people running over the rope bridge to chase a giant bloodsucking, climbing arthropod. And it gets better since they're likely about to be eaten alive. Worse part is that entangle probably would have gotten it too. Yeah, I'm upset. But let's move on this is taking way too long. I'll just put the pieces back together after everyones been torn apart.

It's not a rope bridge. It's a bunch of roots on the walls that it's easy to climb across on. However it's only a DC 5 climb. You can cancel your entanglement and I think he's deeper in the entanglement area so he'll have to make another save. You can cancel the spell if you wish.

Tickleback is not entangled, but the whiptail is stuck in the entanglement and so are many mites on the other side of the chasam.

Your choice to end the spell. Jameson will have to head back as he's right at the edge of the spell however you have both the whiptail centipede stuck and some of the mites on the other side too.

Also I understand about the difficult week. I've had one myself. Especially as yesterday my DM screwed me over. He hates high level adventures (cause he can't handle the fact we blow most of his traps and stuff with a single spell) and we're at around 18-19th level. Today I was stuck with the nephews at home whilst they were meant to be taken back and many other miscalanious things. Just been a bad week for me I guess :p

24 hour rule for Sir Bronwyn

Sir Bronwyn runs over behind Jameson, getting his sword ready to cut down anything that comes towards them, wanting to protect Jameson.
"Come back here. We can work together to kill that monstrocity." he claims to the group, wanting to make sure to hide in here and possibly have the creature in a situation so that it can't attack them or for them all to pile on it.

Ride: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

Jameson's attack is negated with the mite riding on it and smirking as he seems to have avoided his tick from death.

Lukan's arrow catches the mite in it's hide near the neck, but it remains stuck to the wall, denying to fall just yet in combat.

Catrina's acid doesn't manage to hit this mite as it is clearly far better as moving that it appears.

Mites do their movements.

mite 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 still stuck

mite 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 still stuck

One of the mites manages to move over to Jameson and attempts to stab at him with his dagger, but doesn't manage to get past his armour.

attack: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (16) + 0 = 16

Ganit narrows his eyes, breathing slowly as he exhales and then releases the shaft, the arrow striking the mite right in the head, between several of it's eyes and it loses grip on the ceiling and Grabbles' eyes are wide as he doesn't realise what just happens and doesn't react fast enough as the mite falls down with him into the dephs of his chasam.

lol, well I didn't see this coming, I thought he was going to be able to grab onto the wall, but instead he's gone down with the ship, so to speak.

You hear some noise behind you to the west too

A intelligence check. Try to roll a d20 + intelligence bonus

Intelligence check DC 8:

You remember that there was another entrance to go down and now it seems likely that path leads to the area the other side of the chasam.

Jameson moves to AC18 and Readies an attack against the first opponent in reach.

Damn, should've just hit the entangled mite next to me first.

"Dammit all! James is right, those dim little pests are trying to get the drop on us." Ganit surmises as he spits on the ground. "We can either bunker up here and face the enemy on both sides or try to get around the other way while one side is still glued to the floor.

Move to AE20. If there is an enemy in sight coming in from Area R6 I'll shoot at him otherwise I'll hit the centipede.

Or I can use that little wand you all gave me and make for a very slippery attack from the back.

I say we hold here, I can make the mites go nap nap and slip and fall if they are behind us. We can get more shots in on that big bug from here and attack it with multiple people if necessary.

"If we're gonna stand our ground we're going to do this guilfully. I've got 2 tanglefoot bags and an alchemists fire in my bag available to anyone strong enough to throw. If we can uproot that table we can wedge it into the wall hopefully long enough to stave of their entry. Anything we can do to control their movement will be paramount if we want to survive this.

Male Human Bard 4

Bronwyn weaves through the people in the corridor, murmuring something underneath his breath.

"Heavy rain
Pouring hard
Try in vain
t'stand upright "

An attentive onlooker can hear the simple rhymes, but a practiced spellcaster (Spellcraft DC 16) might notice the seemingly random notes he uses are very similar to the verbal components a spellcaster might use to cast a grease spell.

Free Action: Maintain Inspire Courage. Move Action: Move to AC17. Standard Action: Cast Grease spell encompassing Y15, Y16, Z15 and Z16.

Master of Gaming and Grognardia Current map

reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

The mite caught in the greased area keeps it's grip, holding onto the entanglement of the area.

Lukan can't really see the centipede from his positon, but I'l give it to him as I should've mentioned this earlier.

The arrow from Lukan's bow lands, but doesn't appear to do any real harm to the creature, but it you can see some blood seeping out of the mark.

Carina's acid splash hits another mite, killing it instantly as it drops to the ground to join it's leader at the bottom of the gorge.

Mites now appear around the corner with daggers in hand, though they seems surprised to see Sir Bronwyn moving into view with sword ready.

moved Jameson and Sir bronwyn in different spaces as Ganit is in one and the other is occupied by a wall :p

mite 41d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

mite 51d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

mite vs grease: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

One mite runs off down the tunnel, no doupt to move the long way around whilst the other tried to climb across through the greased area, but manages to keep it's grip.

Ganit moves so that the creature is in sight, however his arrow doesn't manage to land.

updated man

Female Changling(Hulking) Sorcerer - Orc Bloodline/5 - HP: 12/28; AC16,T14,FF13

I use the Wand of Grease targeting the area AC21-22, AD21-22. Not sure what the DC is for the wand.

Lukan

Drops his bow and 5-foot moves to AC20 and attacks the mite at AC21.
