With Gwen attempting to assist you, you gain a +2 on attempts to swim to the surface. Gwenyth, its worth noting that while you yourself cannot go past the level of the water, you could lower an item for Ambroze to grab onto- although you would risk losing the item if the current proved too strong for you.

Marcus Alanto |

Round 6
This is assuming the trip was succesful.
Finally managing to land a hit on the agile creature, Marcus tries to take advantage slashing at it on the ground.
Falcata 1d20 + 7 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 7 + 4 - 1 = 21 (prone, power attack)
1d8 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 = 10 (whetstone)
Shield 1d20 + 4 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 4 - 1 = 26 (prone, power attack)
1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 (bludgeoning)
AC22

DM Alexander Kilcoyne |

He had a move action left after you interrupted his first one, so he gets to his feet in the same square.
Marcus lunges out with his foot and manages to take the Vegepygmy down to the ground, but before he can launch an assault the agie plant creature is back on its feet. Nevertheless, Marcus manages to finally score a wounding blow on the Vegepygmy, slamming his shield into the creature's face.

Of course. Doh long day. Shield will miss won't it? I failed to hit AC22 last round.

Mawj |

Oh, I was just assuming that Tun'ada's attack wiped it out.
Mawj and Uli will do a loop to avoid AoO and arrive at -CX-21.
Horsebane; Attack 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27, Damage 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Uli bite; Attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7, Damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3; trip 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Wow, Uli has some awful rolls.

Gwenyth |

Bara venjulegt dót, þú veist, að reyna að bjarga Ambroze frá drukknun meðan hrífandi hluti af berja Marcus er að taka. Ert þú átt í kaðli?
+5HP, Marcus. -5HP, Gwen. Updating now.
Gwen will continue to fish for Ambroze, but will drop the life link with Marcus after it triggers on this turn.

DM Alexander Kilcoyne |

Chi you don't think much of your chances of finding any- not on the deck at least anyway. The whole ship is covered in the same grey fungus that pollutes the island. Tun'ada and Mawj I took some liberty with your movement
Tun'ada, Uli and Mawj join the melee, the former taking a painful stabbing through the abdomen from the vegepygmy's spear as he closes in to deliver a massive two handed blow of his own. Using Uli's fast movement, Mawj circles behind the Vegepygmy and slashes it across the back.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18 Vs Tun'ada (Hit)
1d6 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 Damage
Almost surrounded now, the stubborn plant creature maneuvers himself beside Mawj to stab Tun'ada once more. The vegepygmy begins to eye the railing of the Nightvoice as though making ready to leap off the ship.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 Vs Tun'ada (Hit)
1d6 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 Damage
Very little left happening now so i'll stop with the detailed rounds. Chi your next move action will put you on the deck. Post in whichever order you like people.
Round 7-
Ordered Initiative-
Marcus- 24
Gwenyth- 18
Chi- 17
Tun'ada- 12
Ambroze- 12
Mawj- 11
Vegepygmy Boss- 8

Chi T'reignial |

Chi has rope on her equipment list, so I thought she would have some in her backpack, not getting any from the ship.

Mawj |

Another shriek, another slashing.
Horsebane; Attack 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26, Damage 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Uli bite; Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23, Damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6; trip 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

DM Alexander Kilcoyne |

Marcus steps inside the creature's reach and tries to trip it, but is out maneuvered and barely manages to avoid being knocked to the deck in turn by the surprisingly strong vegepygmy. Gwenyth continues to try and assist Ambroze, but his hand never quite breaks water for her to grab it, and he continues to struggle against the current. Chi gets on board deck and gets some rope from her backpack, ready to throw to Gwenyth. Dropping his sword, Tun'ada lashes out at the vegepygmy with his claws but fails to land a solid hit past the creature's armour. Both Mawj and Uli manage to strike the vegepygmy and wound it further, but the stubborn plant does not fall. The Vegepygmy abandons the fight and moves to leap off the railings and into the ocean...
Provoking AOO from Mawj, Uli, Tun'ada and Marcus.

Tun'ada |

Just saying, I'm alive and well, I just...don't have much to do, here. Looks like Tun'ada isn't in mortal peril with the last combatant fleeing...
Probably not mortal peril, but he will be staggered when he ends his rage.

Gwenyth |

Ah - Well, I'll get up there as soon as I may, rest assured. There's this pesky matter of our friendly neighborhood gnome scholar not drowning, though - I just know if I take the round it will require to move closer to the boat and channel, it's going to be the round that he misses the DC by one to rise to the surface...

He can't drown, he's too important! He's practically the anchor of this team!

DM Alexander Kilcoyne |

Marcus manages to trip the vegepygmy, and Mawj's blade hacks through the plant creature's throat, finally finishing it. Meanwhile, Chi throws the rope down to Ambroze and Gwenyth...
Ok Ambroze, your now at +6 (+2 for Gwen, +4 for the rope) to escape the currents- lets see the next roll. Team melee- whats your next move now there are no more plants to kill?

Mawj |

Mawj and Uli both rear back, howling their triumph into the salty air. "Mawj finds much amusement in your company, travelers! Erm..." He looks over the edge toward the bubbles signalling the location of Ambroze. "Mawj is thinking gnomes do not breathe water, correct?"

Tun'ada |

Tun'ada quaffs the lone potion he owns, in an attempt to remain standing. The ranger then moves to the side of the ship waiting to see if Ambroze will surface.
Potion CLW:1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Maintain rage, if Ambroze doesn't surface, Tun'ada will go in after him...+9 to swim while raging.

Ambroze |

Round Nine Swim check to surface: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 6 - 1 = 12 11/30 breath.
Round Ten Swim check to surface: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 6 - 1 = 23 13/30 breath.
I'm assuming that a 23 is sufficient to surface...
After what seems an eternity (but in actuality is only one minute) Ambroze finally surfaces and grasps Gwen's outstretched hand and the dangling rope.
"Come on in, the water's *cough* fine," he quips weakly as Marcus hauls in the rope.
"Hey Gwen, you don't look so good. Here," Ambroze says to the oracle. Humming weakly, the gnome scholar touches Gwen's shoulder, casting a curative spell to heal some of her wounds.
Cast Cure Light Wounds on Gwen: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 hp healed.

Marcus Alanto |

If everyones OK shall we investigate below? Hopefully any plant creatures would have been drawn up by the battle.
Marcus moves over to examine the plant-man leader and his gear.
He was a tough opponent. So something *turned* him into that. He shudders.
Can we get a detect magic on the mail and spear please.

DM Alexander Kilcoyne |

Neither the longspear or the chainmail show up as magical- the armour is a suit of Elven Chain (small sized), and a masterwork longspear (small sized).
Elven Chain
Aura no aura (nonmagical); CL —
Slot armor; Price 5,150 gp; Weight 10 lbs.
Description
This extremely light chainmail is made of very fine mithral links. This armor is treated, in all ways, like light armor, including when determining proficiency. The armor has an arcane spell failure chance of 20%, a maximum Dexterity bonus of +4, and an armor check penalty of –2.
Note- I have already adjusted the armour's weight for being small- 10 lbs is correct.
Ambroze is finally rescued. With the battle over and the vegepygmies slaughtered, the grey, blighted island is grimly silent once more.

Chi T'reignial |

"I wonder, do you think this ship might hold the key to the blight, after all its the 'foreign' thing on this island. We ought to search it carefully, in case there is something dangerous still left here." As Chi pulls her wet rope back, removing any loose water with hands as she rolls it up, before putting it back in her backpack.
Once she feels ready, her hair whips round as with her wide eyes she takes in the open deck.
Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

Marcus Alanto |

Marcus retrieves the chainmail and shakes it out, marvelling at the elven craftsmenship.
Well the good news is that this will fit Ambroze like a glove, he says eying the gnome's soaked, salt encrusted leathers.
To Chi, Sounds like a plan. Gelik would want us to see what we can find either way.

Ambroze |

Chi pulls her wet rope back, removing any loose water with hands as she rolls it up, before putting it back in her backpack.
"Here Chi, I've got a spell that can dry that out for you," Ambroze says as he sees the elf trying to remove the water from the rope. Humming a few bars the gnome points at the rope, and with a minor cantrip dries the rope, Chi, and himself. (Cast Prestidigitation to dry anything/anyone that got wet.)
Well the good news is that this will fit Ambroze like a glove, he says eying the gnome's soaked, salt encrusted leathers.
"That is a fine suit of armor," Ambroze says appreciatively. "But from what I understand I believe that the brave Sir Goblin has earned this fine elven chainmail through rite of battle," he says, looking at Mawj with respect.

DM Alexander Kilcoyne |

There is little of interest on the deck, but the Nightvoice’s cargo hold is a hideous scene—the skeletal remains of the ship’s crew lie enshrined here. In all there are 19 bodies here, each consisting of a mound of bones caked over with mold; each sits amid a small circle of personal objects, teeth, coins, bits of jewelry, and other objects that the crew member valued in life. Ambroze tells you the vegepygmies honor these bodies as their “birth corpses” in a crude form of ancestor worship. While many of the objects scattered around the skeletons have long since rotted or rusted away, a search of the hold reveals a total
of 432 cp, 284 sp, 123 gp, and jewelry worth 250 gp amid the bones, along with a pair of bracers and a wand (two spellcraft checks please)
Above, in what remains of the captain’s cabin, Chi's thorough search turns up a moldy ship’s log. The pages are badly damaged by mold but are still barely legible (Linguistics check to decipher).
5PM, Day 15

DM Alexander Kilcoyne |

Chi fails to identify the magical aura on the bracers, but determines that the wand is of mirror image with 5 charges remaining. She successfully manages to decipher the captain's log. The ship was indeed the Nightvoice, a Pathfinder Society exploration vessel that originally hailed from Almas. The Nightvoice has been wrecked here for decades after it mysteriously vanished on an attempted voyage around the southern coast of Garund. In fact, the explorers were well on their way home to Almas to report their findings to their lodge when a strange leathery pod they’d discovered in a seaside cavern burst open, infecting nearly the entire crew with russet mold spores—only Captain Havner Ames, author of the log, managed to resist the infection. As he watched his friends and crew succumb to the infection, he knew that he couldn’t allow the strange bulb (which had closed up on itself and was pulsing with a foul life, as if replenishing its store of spores) to reach the coast. Yet the Nightvoice was now adrift on a current that would swiftly take it to the coast of Sargava. It was all Captain Ames could do to alter the large ship’s course on his own so that it instead crashed against the rocks here. Delirious and mad, Captain Ames abandoned the wrecked ship and climbed over the island, hoping to find a place to hide the fungal bulb away where it could do no more damage. The last entry details the captain’s decision to “carry the blasphemous pod up to the top of a rock spire to the east of this island” in an attempt to hide it away from the prying eyes of humanity.
You saw a rock spire like the one Ames mentioned just off the eastern edge of this silent, grey island...
