The saboteur engaging Riken sees the ranger go invisible, then hears an astounding crash. Knowing that he could not have gone far, he tosses a bomb in the general direction of where he last saw his opponent, drops to the floor and runs to investigate:
Attack S-6: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17 (hit)
Splash damage to the entire room of A1: 1 + 1 + 2 = 4 (fire damage)
Riken's Relfex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 (does not catch fire)
Actobatics, drop to floor: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
The bombardier moves (to W-5) to investigate the commotion, to see the ceiling collapsed and rubble on the floor. Stunned, he proclaims:
"私たちは、カタパルトを持っていない!"
The pinned saboteur is stunned and does not act this round.

The rest of the round proceeds:
Riken acts
Riken, dying, attempts to stabilize himself:
Stabilize: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 (DC 11; not stabilized)
Saboteur B acts:
The saboteur upstaris, seeing the display in front of him, remains stunned. This was a very Home Alone monent.
Rilendo acts
Gorgowzowa acts
Dae-Lhach acts

Gorgowzowa tries to jump to the desk and run across it then jump towards the ninja to attempt to strike him with his scorpion style palm thrust.

Gorgowzowa ends in W6

As the bed falls through, and Dea-Lhach prepares to pounce on the unsuspecting sabateur, he hears the scream from below. Turning quickly, he opens and peers through the trap door:
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16
Smoke pours up and flames can be seen below. Well, that's where the smoke was coming from.
Not sure if I can see anything else, let me know otherwise and I'll post actions

Did Riken drop his great axe when he fell over?: 1d100 ⇒ 91 (higher is better; 30%, so 70-100?)
Riken's great axe fell adjacent to him (in T-6). It turned visible as it left his hand.

![]() |
Peering down through the trapdoor, the only thing Dae-Lhach can discern is the axe belonging to the ranger. Hearing the fight move back into the great room, and wary of the closeness of the flames, Dae-Lhach dismisses the idea of dropping through the trap door. He does not want the fire blocking any way out.
He returns back through room A6, looking at the damage done by the large monk, and keeping an eye on the doorway. Seeing noone in immediate need of healing, he skirts the hole in the floor moves to M6 - I think that's where the side of the hole is and rounds upon the stunned sabateur still looking in the door.
A stream of flame jumps from Dae-Lhachs outstretched hand to strike the Sabateur:
FireBolt (ranged touch): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
damage FireBolt: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
damage sneak attk: 1d6 ⇒ 4 if he's still stunned

Riken fails to stabilize after being reduced to unconsciousness.
Rilendo heads upstairs, hoping to catch sight of his prey (moves to K-10, I think, to see him). He shoots, dealing a slight graze to his prey.
Gorgowzow, in a flashy display, moves (to W-6) and strikes the first saboteur he sees.
Dae-Lhach, seeing no combat, heads to assist with those whose locations he is aware of. He moves (to M-6) and attacks the stunned enemy. It hits, and does sneak damage.

Shaking his daze, the investigating Saboteur (Saboteur A) sees Gorgowzowa, steps back (5' to W-4) and prepares another bomb mixture, throwing it:
Saboteur A's bomb splash attack vs. Gorgowzowa: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20 (hit)
Saboteur A's bomb splash damage vs. Gorgowzowa: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 6) + 2 = 9 (fire damage)
Gorgowzowa's Reflex save vs. catching on fire: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 (success; no catchy on firey)
Taken by surprise and hastily throwing the weapon, the grenadier is hits by his own reckless throw:
Saboteur A's splash damage: 1 + 1 + 2 = 4 (fire damage)
Saboteur A's Reflex save for half: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 (fail, lol)
Unbeknownst to the attacker the cracks in the rubble contain one of his allies, who is caught by the rubble
Saboteur B's splash damage: 1 + 1 + 2 = 4 (fire damage)
Saboteur B's Reflex save for half: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 (fail, lol)
Awakened by the quick burning sensation, the pinned saboteur (Saboteur C) attempts to free himself from the rubble. He's pinned, so the closest analog would be CMB, I think. The rubble's CMD is 18, perhaps?
Saboteur C's counter-grapple: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
He fails to free himself.
As fire spreads just feet away from him, Riken's body tries to stabilize its wounds:
Riken's Stabilize: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 (DC is 12 now; fail; take 1 damage)

The blinded saboteur upstairs recovers from the spectacular display and reacts to his conditions. He wipes the fluid from his face (move action).
Saboteur C's Fort save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 (arbitrary DC 13; not nauseated from the piss in his face)
Having just been attacked with fire, he decides to fight fire with fire, attacking Dae-Lhach:
Saboteur C's bomb splash attack vs. Dae-Lhach: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18 (hit)
Saboteur C's bomb splash damage vs. Dae-Lhach: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 1) + 2 = 7 (fire damage)
Dae-Lhach's Reflex vs. catching on fire: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 (does not catch on fire)

as he falls to the ground he draws on his inner ki and chops at his ankle...

Gorgowzowa contemplates all the choices he has made in his life, disappointed he will not atone in this lifetime. The shame begins to overwhelm him, constricting his heart, pulling the air from his lungs. With a great rush of air he fills his chest and lets out a primal roar of rage, his face pulling back as if tearing away from his mouth, his eyes rolling back.

![]() |

You know, I'm tempted to just use that crit AoO roll from two pages back... EDIT: I should not have said that.
The saboteur engaging Gorgowzowa sees the disarm attack coming, he stabs at Gorgowzowa:
Saboteur A's AoO: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29 (hit; potential critical)
Saboteur A's confirmation: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27 (hit; critical)
(heh.)
Saboteur A's damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Saboteur A's critical damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
This does not appear to drop Gorgowzowa, so no disruption to the other attacks.

![]() |

Crap, edit expired. Anyway, these daggers are poisoned. ... According to crit rules, only spells double damage on crit, and as backed up by this thread, no double penalty for poison. So, there's that.
Gorgowzowa's fort save vs. poison: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 (no save)
Gorgowzowa's DEX damage: 1d2 ⇒ 2 (take a -1 penalty on DEX bonuses: AC, etc.)
This situation looks eerily familiar.

Wanting to keep the sabateur's attention, Dae-Lhach calls out, "You foolishly attack one of Sarenrae's chosen with fire? You will see how futile that is!" Dae-Lach moves around the hole to catch site of Gorgo.
We'll set that at M-8. There is the question of whether Gorgowzowa, prone, would even be visible or whether the debris gives him cover, but I think you guys have a hard enough time with this encounter.

Saboteur A's dagger vs. Gorgowzowa: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20 (Gorgowzowa's prone effectively negates his mage armor bonus; there is a -2 DEX penalty for -1 AC; hit)
Saboteur A's damage vs. Gorgowzowa: 1d4 ⇒ 4 (additional dose of poison)
The pinned saboteur (Saboteur C) again attempts to free himself from the rubble.
Saboteur C's counter-grapple: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 (Re-using DC 18; success)
He frees himself, escaping the rubble (moving to X-8).
As fire continues to spread around Riken, his body tries to stabilize its wounds:
Riken's Stabilize: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19 (DC is now 13; success!)
EDIT: forgot about the guy upstairs
The saboteur upstairs, seeing the cleric begin channeling, throws another bomb in his direction:
Saboteur B's bomb splash attack vs. Dae-Lhach: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19 (hit)
Saboteur B's bomb damage vs. Dae-Lhach: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 4) + 2 = 9 (fire damage)
Dae-Lhach's reflex to not catch fire: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 (catches fire!)
Fire damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3 (fire damage)

This is a somewhat awesome move, so I'll give a +2 situational bonus. And let you charge to the side, since charge also gives a +2 bonus. The bombing saboteur also does not have a melee weapon in hand, so no AoO.
Rilendo, frustrated at his bow's inability to strike, charges the saboteur in front of him. He barely manages to dislodge his opponent, pushing him through the gaping hole down to the floor below, Rilendo stops in the location his oppoenent was standing (I-8).

Good point about the tossing into melee, and I was probably still counting the grapple penalty, yes. The attack roll is off by one (thrown is +11; melee is +10), however. So 1d20 + 11 - 4 => 10 + 11 - 4 => 17 vs. 21, miss.
I also forgot to say that Saboteur A 5' stepped away from Gorgowzowa, but I won't push it ;)

![]() |

Ok. Sab. C is at X-7. I messed that up, wholly. Forgot to mention that he draws a dagger drawn during the move. Also forgot that they have +22 to jump. So, that's a 23, which is an auto-success. That gave him a +1 higher ground vs. Gorgowzowa, but that's still an 18 vs. 21; miss.
Net result, he's at X-7 with a dagger drawn.
EDIT: Gorgowzowa is being a pedant off-board. They guy stood up when he properly escaped. He is not prone.

That's what I suggested made it not matter when I was joking about it, but BTW, just because I'm a pendant and all, higher ground bonus is just for melee...

Dae-Lach splashes into the tub and exhales a sigh of relief as the waters extinguish the flames. He takes a brief moment to relax as the
waters soak into his clothes, cooling him off from the increasing heat in the building.
As his mind calms, something among the chaos is bothering him. He can't quite put his finger on it. Suddenly he bolts upright. "Riken!" He quickly replays events in his mind. "The sabateur Rilendo pushed into the hole had two arrows glance off of him. If Riken shot those, they would have landed. Those must have been from Rilendo." He tries to remember when he last saw Riken. "Heading off to the tower, I think", then he remembers peering through the trap door. The axe and the glimmer comes to his mind. "Could it be?".
Dae-Lhach climbs out of the tub and heads towards the trap door, leaving footprint puddles as he goes.

Rilendo follows his target downstairs (double-moving to engage at square W-9).
Gorgowzowa holds his action, expecting an opportunity to arise with his target.
Dae-Lhach has an epiphany and heads to the trap door (to H-6).

Saboteur A acts:
Running out of options, the saboteur engaging Gorgowzowa attempts a melee attack.
Gorgowzowa's readied action triggers (do you realize how lame 'do anything' really is?).
Gorgowzowa, seeing his opponent prepare for the attack makes one himself, landing a blow.
Saboteur A's fortitude save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 (fails)
Gorgowzowa side steps his opponent (to V-4). The saboteur drops his dagger as a result of the blow.
Since Gorgowzowa's readied action changes his initiative (to before the init of his trigger), no further actions for him this round. Time to check on the poison.
Gorgowzowa's poison fortitude check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 (failure)
Gorgowzowa's DEX Damage: 1d2 ⇒ 1 (that's -5 DEX, now)
Saboteur C acts:
The saboteur atop the desk, seeing his stunned ally, pulls an item from his bag.
Riken does not act
Saboteur B acts:
The saboteur who finds himself engaging Rilendo pulls out a dagger and attacks:
Saboteur B vs. Rilendo: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15 (miss)
