Dae-Lhach Nestaron
|
Dae-Lhach peers back down the trapdoor and casts detect magic. The distinct feel of a magical aura is revealed. With the fire closing in, Dae-Lhach has no time for further confirmation. He knows that missing the signs earlier may have already doomed his ally. He makes the decision and drops through the trap door. Keeping low to avoid the smoke, he reaches out in the direction he recalls seeing the glimmer.

With pebcakerror and Robert23 out of town, I'm calling the end of round.
Rilendo, finally within a good melee reach of this opponent, does a dual attack with his longsword, twirling in battle attempting to land a second blow with his shield's spikes:
Rilendo's longsword attack: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 10 - 2 = 14 (miss)
Rilendo's shield attack: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 10 - 2 = 20 (hit)
Rilendo's damage vs. Saboteur B: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 (see? no nicks or cuts! :P )
Dae-Lhach, following a hunch, detects a magical aura in the room below. He jumps down:
Dae-Lhach's acrobatics to soften landing: 10 + 6 = 16 (taking 10; success)
He lands in roughly the same area as Riken's fallen great axe (T-6).

Gorgowzowa's DEX damage: 1d2 ⇒ 2 (that's -7 DEX, now)
Gorgowzowa
|
Gorgowzowa side steps north west, fighting the effects of the poison, and feeling his abilities draining from him, he begins fighting defensively.
"I was too arrogant. My pride has made me plan and try to think about my action. I must give up my conceit of the outcome and simply act. They can read me like a codex."

Saboteur A acts:
Recovering from the stunning blow and seeing Gorgowzowa in a defensive stance, the saboteur retrieves his recently dropped weapon (move action), which opens himself up for attack:
Gorgowzowa's AoO: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 6 - 4 = 12 (miss)
The saboteur then, looking around at his options, sees his companion on the desk, and yells: "반대편으로 가서", and after an acknowledging nod, readies an action.
Saboteur C acts:
Acknowledging his companion's request for aid, the saboteur carefully dances gets off of the desk and moves to flank Gorgowzowa (to W-2), drawing a dagger while moving but leaving an opening to be attacked:
Gorgowzowa's AoO: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 6 - 4 = 18 (miss)
He settles into a flanking position, and his prone fellow makes a desperate attack:
Saboteur A's attack vs. Gorgowzowa: 1d20 + 10 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 10 - 4 + 2 = 25 (hit)
Saboteur A's damage to Gorgowzowa: 1d4 ⇒ 3 (plus poison)
After seeing his colleague's successful attack while prone, the standing saboteur attacks with his drawn dagger:
Saboteur C vs. Gorgowzowa: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 10 + 2 = 27 (hit)
Saboteur C's damage to Gorgowzowa: 1d4 ⇒ 4 (plus poison)
Riken does not act
Saboteur B acts:
Seeing his Rilendo double attacking him, he takes a strategic retreat step (to W-10) in preparation to throw a bomb at Rilendo. To his surprise, Rilendo steps forward unexpectedly (to V-10). Reacting to this new turn of events, he simply attacks with his dagger. (I think he has one drawn. If not, he drew it with his 5' step.)
Saboteur B's attack vs. Rilendo: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
Saboteur B's damage to Rilendo: 1d4 ⇒ 2 (plus poison)

Heal check, evaluate Saboteur A: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Heal check, evaluate Saboteur C: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
You cannot ascertain Saboteur A's status, but you know that you've done some solid blows to him. You can tell that Saboteur C is not looking well.

I'll queue that up for next round, which I'm waiting on Dae-Lhach to start. I am tracking the ki as of now ;) You're at 4 or 5 used, I will tally and make sure. I think this is 4, though.
Rilendo is easy enough to call the shots for. Dae-Lhach, on the other hand... I don't feel comfortable burning his consumables for him. And he RPs in such a way that he throws me curve balls, so I don't have a feel for the character's "script."
Dae-Lhach Nestaron
|
To confirm his hunch, Dae-Lhach reaches out to see if there's anything in S6. Assuming he finds someone, he risks it is his fallen ally and will use his heal domain skill of Rebuke Death until there is a response. Not sure if one will bring him back.
Rebuke Death: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Rebuke Death: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Rebuke Death: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
When Riken regains consiousness, and indicates it is he, Dae-Lhach will use a scroll of cure moderate wounds, then tell him to get him back to the fight asap.
CMW: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (4, 7) + 4 = 15
Bardez
|
OK, calling the end of round.
Dae-Lhach's perception to find Riken: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15 (DC will be 20; miss)
Riken's total concealment: 1d2 ⇒ 2 (lucky)
Rilendo feels the sting of his opponent's blade, and feels slightly weaker from the cut. Regardless of this distraction, he continues to press his attack (two-weapon fighting):
Longsword: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 10 - 2 = 10 (miss)
Shield spikes: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 10 - 2 = 26 (hit)
Shield spike damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Dae-Lhach, having seen a glimmer of what he though might be his fallen comrade's foot within the blazing fire, makes a desperate attempt to rebuke death in the hope that he is able to save what might be his comrade. He looks for any sign of Riken but is unable to find one. Mustering upon his faith in Sarenerae, he mutters a prayer to the goddess that the flames will guide his hands, and lets fate guide him to lay hands on his fallen ally. Remarkably, his palm lands upon a chest, and Dae-Lhach rebukes the dying condition of what he can only hope is his ally.
A gasp can be heard from the body that Dae-Lhach was divinely guided to.

Fire spreads from T-11 to the ceiling of T-11; from S-8 to the ceiling of S-8; from R-8 to the ceiling of R-8; from R-7 to S-6(!); from Q-10 to the ceiling of Q-10.
The fire spreads quickly as Dae-Lhach acts to restore the fallen one whom he hopes is friend rather than foe. As the gasps and coughing of the individual start up, the fire spreads onto them and around them.
fire damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
OK, so you get a reflex save even if unconscious or helpless.
Reflex save vs. getting caught of fire: 1d20 + 4 - 5 ⇒ (5) + 4 - 5 = 4 (DC is 15; save is at +4 from Ranger levels. The helpless condition —part of the unconscious condition— is DEX = 0, so you lose the +2 from 14 and gain -5 penalty from from DEX 0, which means a total net of -1 to your roll; failure)
immediate damage from fire: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Now, since Riken is helpless, I'm going to have to say that the fire rules do come into play and all of his stuff has to make a DC 15 reflex save, and has to use the modifiers of the owner, which is a net -1. Clothes, backpacks, scrolls, scroll cases, etc. Riken, you're going to have to figure this out. Anything that can be identified as "flammable," so a dump of gear in a spoiler tag for what you have and their saves would be appropriate. I will tell you what is or isn't affected.
The one less negative drawback of this is that the invisible body is now quite clearly outlined by flame and can be targeted and seen.
Dae-Lhach feels the song of Sarenrae as clearly now in his mind as he has ever before felt it. This one has been selected and claimed by Sarenrae. If you wish to advocate otherwise, prove yourself worthy as a servant of the Dawnflower through this trail of fire.

Gorgowzowa acts:
Gorgowzowa's Fortitude save vs. Poison: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 (fail)
Gorgowzowa's DEX damage: 1d2 ⇒ 2 (that's -9 DEX, now)
Feeling his abilities slowly draining away, Gorgowzowa attempts to beat his attackers in the race against time until whatever ailment he has overcomes him. While attempting to come off with a strong blow, his defensive stature causes the attempted blows to miss (+6 for flurry, not +5, but -2 for the flurry to total 18 on the stunning fist attack).
Gorgowzowa's AC should be 19 +4 mage armor +4 ki dodge +3 fighting defensively -4 DEX damage => 26. Likewise, CMD should be 23 + 4 + 3 - 4 to yield 26. Please indicate if incorrect.
Saboteur A acts:
The prone saboteur stands, provoking an attack from Gorgowzowa:
Gorgowzowa's AoO: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 (miss)
Standing, he takes his dagger in hand and slices at the half-orc:
Saboteur A's melee attack vs. Gorgowzowa: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 10 + 2 = 13 (critical miss)
Saboteur C acts:
Flanking Gorgowzowa, the saboteur drops his dagger and pulls a fresh one, then attacks:
Saboteur C's melee attack vs. Gorgowzowa: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 10 + 2 = 16 (miss)
Saboteur B acts:
Seeing little strategic option, the saboteur drops his dagger and cautiously moves to climb up the wall:
Saboteur B's attempt to move through threatened area via acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Despite his efforts, he leaves an opening for Rilendo to use to his advantage:
Rilendo's longsword AoO: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21 (hit)
Rilendo's longsword damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
As the saboteur places his hands upon the wall, Rilendo slices at his shoulder. The saboteur staggers and falls before the victorious fighter.
Gorgowzowa

That'll be for round 12.
Sorry, I guess I should wait because I don't know what's going on. I was just on autopilot and thought it would be ok to queue up actions to speed it up, but probably not a good idea. Disregard; I'll post after the round is over with actions based on the end of the round.
Rilendo
|
Rilendo walks over the rubble and through the smoke with it twirling behind him. The reflection of fire shimmering off his armor gives him a bigger than life appearance. One of certain doom for any who oppose. Lesser foes would have to take a roll against the effects of fear. Stepping up to a foe at W-5, he takes a swing putting all his might into the attack.
Power Attack
Longsword with Penalty: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 10 - 2 = 16
Damage with bonus: 1d8 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 4 = 9
Bardez
|
Rilendo, feeling his abilities slowly drain, moves toward the sound of the continuing battle on the other side of the rubble. He closes to flank the closest saboteur (Saboteur A) and attacks powerfully, uncertain of his attack. He swings, and focuses on his training, knowing that his time on the streets and with the Society with sword and skill will serve him. He gives it his all. The blow barely lands, and he twists the blade to drive the sting of the weapon harder into its target.
Attack bonuses/penalties: BAB +5; STR +4; Masterwork +1; Weapon Training +1; Flanking +2; Power Attack -2 = +11. Damage bonuses: STR +4; Weapon Training +1; Dirty Fighting +1; Power Attack +4 = +10
Dae-Lhach reaches into the fire to grab a hold on the body engulfed in flames:
Dae-Lhach's fire damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Firmly grabbing the outlined, invisible body, Dae-Lhach drags the mass (to T-5), himself just a bit further (at U-5). He then beats at the flames wrapping around the invisible body.
Riken, his body being dragged and pulled out from the fire, smoulders as his body recovers from the flames:
Stabilize: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
His wounds stabilize, but does not make any audible indication of health. He remains unconscious.
Bardez
|
OK, end of combat.
Gorgowzowa attempts to trip the last remaining ninja saboteur, unsuccessfully. The saboteur counterattacks:
Saboteur C vs. Gorgowzowa: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18 (miss)
Having heard a Hwan curse from the other side of the room (GM retcon, gotta run this as written, right?) and seeing his compatriot fall, he turns to flee (withdraw), leaving the burning house aflame.
Bardez
|
OK, all that's left is to dole out first aid. Rilendo and Gorgowzowa are poisoned. The order and actions do matter.
Gorgowzowa's fortitude save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 (fail)
Gorgowzowa's DEX damage: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Rildendo's fortitude save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 (fail)
Rilendo's DEX damage: 1d2 ⇒ 2
At this point, Dae-Lhach can do a heal check to see which is worse off:
Dae-Lhach's heal on Rilendo: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Dae-Lhach's heal on Gorgowzowa: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Dae-Lhach can tell that Rilendo is poisoned, as is Gorgowzowa, though he seems much worse off to Dae-Lhach.
At this point, I need to know how you intend to treat poison, and how you deal with the invisible, stabilized body. The fire will slowly advance, but don't worry about it just right now.
Bardez
|
So, you know where Riken's body is, and last you checked it was still breathing. Invisible, so the DC to tell if he's dying will be +20 (GM ruling). Gorgowzowa and Rilendo both have poison taking effect per round. I'm saying that it's a standard action to treat any of them. What do you guys do?
Also, the mattress thing can happen after heal checks. Or before, if Gorgowzowa wants to insist.
Dae-Lhach Nestaron
|
Seeing the condition Gorgo is in, Dea-Lhach retrieves a vial of antitoxin and passes it to him. Following, he uses his heal skill with uses of the Healing Kit to stop the effects of the poison in both Gorgo and Rilendo, before turning back to check further on Riken. Figure that should handle a couple rounds of action
Bardez
|
This substance counteracts a specific toxin. If you drink a vial of antitoxin, you gain a +5 alchemical bonus on Fortitude saving throws against poison for 1 hour.
So, which toxin does this vial target? I kid, that's fluff.
So, Gorgowzowa attacked the guy, failed his fort. Then Dae-Lhach gathers them and looks them over, pulls out an antitoxin and gives it to Gorgowzowa. Rilendo then has to take his fortitude save unassisted (see above post #432).
Next round, Gorgowzowa makes his save
Gorgowzowa's unassisted save with antitoxin in hand: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
DEX damage: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Gorgowzowa drinks the antitoxin. He then attempts to treat his poison.
Gorgowzowa's Heal check to treat poison: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 (failure)
Riledo's unassisted save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 (he makes it)
Dae-Lhach's heal to eavluation Rilendo: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Dae-Lhach, seeing that Rilendo appears to be ok, focuses on Gorgowzowa:
Dae-Lhach's Treat poison: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 2 = 11 (+2 bonus from healer's kit; no assistance)
Next round
Gorgowzowa's fortitude save with antitoxin: 1d20 + 4 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 5 = 24 (successful save!!)
Bardez
|
So, I have 1 charge of the healer's kit used, and Gorgowzowa at -11 DEX. I have Rilendo at -4 DEX.
Gorgowzowa tells Dae-Lhach that his symptoms do not appear to be worsening as they have been, so Dae-Lhach goes back to Riken's body and sees to it. He asks Gorgowzowa and Rilendo if they had tracked the total that came in, and confirms that this must indeed be Riken.
Dae-Lhach's heal check to check condition: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Feeling breath from Riken but no other signs of condition, continues to rebuke death. I'll use the unused rolls that you did in post # 416.
Rebuke Death: 1d4 + 2 ? (3) + 2 = 5
Rebuke Death: 1d4 + 2 ? (3) + 2 = 5
After a few treatments of this, coughing and wheezing can be heard from the invisible ranger.
EDIT: I believe Riken should be at 2 HP, invisible and prone at this point, now conscious.
Riken Utherson
|
Riken blinks through his splitting headache. He quickly takes stock of himself. Is he alive or is this an out of body experience. No, the headache reminds him he's alive, if only just.
He looks around to assess the situation and sees Dae-Lhach and Gorgowzowa near by.
"Did we win?" he calls out weakly.
Riken slumps back down and sighs to himsef "Well that sucked"
Riken will make good use of his CLW wand at this point.
CLW (39 charges remain): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 7 HP
CLW (38 charges remain): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 11 HP
CLW (37 charges remain): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 15 HP
CLW (36 charges remain): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 17 HP
CLW (35 charges remain): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 20 HP
CLW (34 charges remain): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 27 HP
CLW (33 charges remain): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 32 HP
CLW (32 charges remain): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 39 HP
CLW (31 charges remain): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 41 HP
In a sudden panic Riken calls out, "Paka! Has anyone seen the cat!?"
Bardez

So, here's what I have for the current HPs and statuses:
- Dae-Lhach: 15/24 HP; used 10 CLW charges; used 1 scroll create water; used 1 CMW; used 1 fire bolt; used 2 channel energy; used 3 rebuke deaths; used 1 scroll lesser restoration
- Gorgowzowa: 23/21 HP; 5 ki points used; 8 DEX damage from poison
- Paka: 10/32 HP; ran away (maybe 300 ft?)
- Riken: 41/44 HP; invisible for a minute or two longer
- Rilendo: 12/40 HP; 4 DEX damage from poison
Bardez

Gorgowzowa, you find a couple of inert extracts (sorry, their CLW are theirs only; alchemist stuff), 6 smokesticks, three poisoned daggers, two haramaki, four fuse grenades, and two sets of thieves' tools. The CLW potions from the first wave have been picked over and one given to each party member. I believe that those have all been used, but there might be one or two left over.
