Yes, the "sell" price for calculating impact on share.
In the morning, Neva'll use Detect Magic on the potion:
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
If that doesn't work, she'll grunt displeasure and smell the thing
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
For the dagger, if Rutter doesn't really want it, Neva will take it. I won't use it often, but it's my deity's favored weapon and my only melee choice. (Not that I ever want to use it, so you get first pick!)

Copper Fratello |

Ok, Id like someone to double check me, but I think I have most of the math done up for us.
2314gp worth of cash/coin/jewels including our 1000gp reward.
183.5gp from selling the generic gear that the grunts were carrying, since noone specified they wanted it.
That totals 2497.5. Divided 5 ways, thats 499.5gp each.
That does not include any of the better stuff we got, which I list below with the selling price:
Mwk Chainmail- 150
Mwk Spear- 151
15 magical arrows (assuming they are just +1)- 300
Mwk longbow- 200
Magical silver dagger (assuming +1)- 1011
Potion of CMW- 150
So, unless someone opposes, I think the easiest way is the 'you pay the sell price for it back to the group' method, so your really not out any cash, as you can sell it for the same amount you bought it for.
I think the Potion ought to be set aside as 'party treasure', while the rest either gets bought by someone and the gold split amongst the rest, or just sell it all and split it.
So, whatcha guys think?

Rutter |

Rutter wasn't interested in the dagger - it should be medium sized - I was just using that as an example. Oh, and agree on the potion as 'party treasure'.

Senjin |

OK, Potion is a group item.
If no one wants the knife, it will be 861.9 to each (4309.5 / 5 = 861.9)
If someone want the knife, it is 824 to the remaining four with 151.6 to be paid later by the dagger holder to the four as a sum(37.9 each) or 189.5 into the pot to be shared back to all 5 (perhaps the easiest way to bookkeep it.)
Senjin will take the bow, arrows, and armor (especially the armor-he has learned to appreciate a few extra AC points) as part of his share.

Senjin |

Is your figure of 861 each counting for the share of gold the rest of us will get from you taking the armor, bow, and arrows?
Yeah, I added everything in there as if it were sold at that price. Senjin just gets less cash/more gear (211 cash/650 gear). If anyone wants the spear, subtract that amount from your cash. The dagger is the only tricky item.

Copper Fratello |

Sounds like no one wants the knife, since no one has spoken up with a definite yes by now. Im gonna go ahead and add my 861.9 to my sheet. If it needs to change, I'll alter it. Dont think there is anything I need to buy right now anyway.

Copper Fratello |

*edits gold*
Personally, I think someone who has at least 19hp ought to take the potion, since that would allow them to still be conscious at 0hp and get full benefit of it. While I do have 19hp, I dont ask for it, since you guys take more damage than I do, being on the front lines and all.
The dagger, I think, ought to be held at least for now, by someone who could use it, or perhaps WOULD use it. Rutter or Jericho either one are fine with me.

Copper Fratello |

I'd understand if Cloud doesnt feel this way, but Ive always played it that a medium sized dagger could be used as a Small Shortsword or a medium shortsword as a small longsword.
I know there is the difference in the pierce/slash a dagger does and the pierce dmg a shortsword does, but its close enough for me.
Like I said though, id understand if Cloud didnt feel the same way, it being a houserule and all.

Jericho Mason |

My apologies to everyone. Still getting into the groove of my new job. I think I've got it figured as far as scheduling, and how much time I can spend online.
I think the days of posting every day are behind me. :(
I'll have my level 2 figured out by tomorrow, and will take whatever leftovers from the split are available.

Copper Fratello |

Just as a heads up, Im taking my vacation from work this Friday May 27th through Monday June 6th.
Normally, Id be able to post from home, since we arent travelling anywhere for more than a few days during that time, but weve been having bad weather lately, and my internet is being wonky. I can try to post from my phone during next week, but if you Im slowing the game down, feel free to bot me.
I'll let you know when we get the internet working at my house again.

Senjin |

He is DMing a Second Darkness game I am in too. He had moved and got a new job a little over a month ago, and he found the long commute was just draining him. He made a few sporadic posts but then just stopped. Hasn't popped in to just say it is too much or anything, so we are left waiting there too.

Neva Vallastoi |

My $.02 is that we just move ahead with the four players we have. We're posting regularly, we have a decent party set-up and the game was designed for 4 players. Sure, 5 is obviously better, but we'll go faster this way.
What say everyone?

Neva Vallastoi |

DM Cloud: Hope everything is ok. If you'd like to take a formal hiatus from the game, I'm sure that's fine with everyone. I'd hate to see this group end, but I'm beginning to understand the day-on-day work involved with running one of these things.
So, I for one would not be upset if you took a break, if that would help.
Maybe a July 5th reboot to the old posting schedule? Just a suggestion.

Copper Fratello |

A formal break from the game is fine with me, though that would indicate Cloud needing to respond in order for us to know we are taking an 'official' break from the game.
Not hatin, just sayin.

Meowzebub |

Sorry Folks. I am going to officially give up hope on this. You have been a fun crew that stuck out losing three players and two DMs..well we kicked one player out :p. I don't think I currently game with any of you in another PbP (which is odd as I am in a few), but I am sure the future will provide more opportunities.
I am moving Senjin over to a new Crimsom Throne/Kingmaker hybrid designed by one of my current PbP DMs (DM Barcas). It was a dilemma to hold out hope for this game that someone might pick up this game or apply for a chance to game with one of the best DMs on the boards who had just opened a recruitment. I figured no harm in applying as if I didn't get in I could continue to wait for this game to pick back up. But, I did get picked and so alas I will retire from this one.
I think we had a good core of four and have had fun. It is a shame that we got only got as far as we did after 6 months. I hope you have luck reviving this game, or getting these characters into another CofCT, it would be good to see them live on. Take Care.

Copper Fratello |

Im beginning to agree with Meowzebub. This game has been frustrating for me far mroe than enjoyable. If we arent able to find replacements by the end of the work week, I think Im going to drop as well.

Copper Fratello |

What do you two think of the three we have interested in the game?
Aardvark seems fine to me for a GM. I kinda think he might be getting in over his head with how many games he is going to run and play in, but thats just my own bias of it being too much for me, lol.
As for the players, if we wanted to go to 5, Id be fine with having both Rayne Nevermore and Filios (or his dwarf anyway) being added. Im in another game with Filios now, so Id probably prefer him if we chose only one of them, cause I know he is an attentive player and frequent poster, though if you guys like Rayne more, Im fine with that as well.

Rutter |

Yeah, I'm still here and no intention of dropping. I've had to slow down the posting pace to 1/day, due to getting a new manager that actually expects us to work. Pfft. Anyways, I'm in other games with each of you, so I trust the three of us can continue with this.
I'm fine with the applicants for both DM and players.
