Allyph's attack hurts the thug badly, but he doesn't fall.

The thug's eyes go wide as he stares at the sorceress, and he hesitates when she doesn't grab the dagger.

1d2 ⇒ 1

He goes for the dagger, and then tries to stab Allyph with it.

Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Allyph easily dodges the attack.

Knowing it'll provoke an attack from the thug, Allyph shoots another ray of electricity at him.

What a chump.....good job you. Keep it up.

AoO, Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

The thug tries to stab Allyph, but she dodges his attack again.

Allyph's ray then hits the thug, and he drops to the table. As he goes down, he automatically pulls Allyph with him due to being tied to her.

The room's awkwardly quiet, until Devargo bursts out laughing again. "Well that was something new! Guys, untie the lass and help her off the table. Give those people their rewards!"

As Devargo has ordered, Allyph's untied and helped back to the floor. The unconscious thug is pushed off of the table, and hits the floor. None of the thugs, nor Devargo, seems to care much about him.

1d100 ⇒ 47

Allyph's given 23 gp, and the other party members each receive 6 gp. (Not going on the loot list, you may add it now.)

"We cleared a second table, but is no one stepping up?" Devargo asks. "You need one more win, haha!"

If you want to go up against one of the thugs, you may immediately roll initiative :)

Her panicked expression completely gone, Allyph claps her hands excitedly. "We're nearly there, guys! Baer!"

Allyph then quickly grabs her small mirror, to check if the fight didn't mess up her hair.

'Kay, I still look fine...

Denario steps onto the table, and his right hand is tied to the right hand of the thug that's his opponent. New coins are placed on the table, and the dagger's again slammed in the middle of table. One may wonder how often you have to replace your tables when you play this game a lot.

Init thug: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

The thug's up first, and goes for the dagger. He immediately tries to stab Denario with it.

Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Denario dodges the dagger.

Denario smirks at the man.
"...ever seen moonlight & sunlight together?"

Color spray to the face, DC14 will.

Will: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18 :/

The thug blinks, confused by Denario's words and the wide array of colors. "What the heck are you doing...?"

He tries to stab Denario with the dagger, but doesn't manage to connect.

AoO, Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Casting a spell provokes an attack from the armed thug, and Denario's stabbed in his side.

Concentration Denario, DC 14: 1d20 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 2 + 3 = 7

Denario loses his concentration on the spell he's trying to cast.

Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

The thug attacks again, stabbing Denario in the same spot.

Thought I'd roll Concentration for Denario, to speed things up... and this happens... -_-

Cast defensively Daze: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

Will: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11

Denario successfully dazes the thug for a couple of seconds.

Meaning Denario's up again.

Human Magus 10 Hp 82/82, AC 19/15/15, F+8, R+7, W+9, Spd.30ft. CMB+8, CMD22, Perc.+2, Init+8

Denario attempts to push the dazed man off the table.
Bull rush: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Denario pushes the thug against the wall. This doesn't change the thug's position, because the thug was already next to the wall.

The game's not isolated from it's surroundings; you're still on the map. I placed both contestants on a table when the game started. (If you'd been standing the other way around, the color spray could also have affected the purple and pink thugs.)

Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

The thug snaps out of his daze, and tries to stab Denario once more. Denario dodges the dagger.

Denario's up.

Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Mavor shakes his head as Denario fails to hit the thug.

"He's not all too bright for a mage now is he?" He whispers to Baer.

"Attacking guards unprovoked, stepping up to an armed man and keep on missing himself. I wonder if more of the Academy were like him." He continues to whisper, "The two of us might need to intervene again."

Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

The thug stabs Denario once more, disabling the magus. When Denario bends over to grab some gold, he collapses.

"Second fail!" Devargo announces. "The lad tried, though. He did better than the recruit that faced the lass. Let him lie on the table, so his mates can patch him up."

Denario and the thug are untied. The coins on the table are split, and the other table is prepared for a new match.

"You still need one more win. Who's going up?" Devargo asks as he takes a good look at Uriah and Baer. "You haven't been yet. Perhaps you want to try?"

Denario's face shows he's not amused by the outcome.
"I'm not the best in close quarters, but i can't just stand by and do nothing now can i, that guy was a knife fighter and i was unarmed."

I completely forgot about the nonlethal damage during the knivesies games. After Uriah's channel Mavor still has 3 nonlethal damage, and Denario's at 5/17HP with 3 nonlethal damage. (He took 1 more damage when going for the second coin grab, because he was at 0 and used a standard action.)

Mavor and Denario, could you also put your nonlethal damage in your stat bar? That'll make it easier to keep track of :)

Another thug joins Baer on the table. Baer's attempt to intimidate her opponent doesn't pay off.

Init: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

The dagger sinks into Baer flesh, but she ignores it. Baer grabs seven gold coins, and puts them in her pouch.

Sure enough the thug grabs another 8 coins when his repeats the same process of dropping the dagger, grabbing coins, and picking the dagger up again.

It doesn't take a trained eye to see there are only 6 coins left on the table.

The contestants may not have counted what they or the other picked up, but here's the score:
Baer picked up 22 coins.
The thug picked up 34 coins.

Unless Baer has something up her sleeves to beat the thug, she's lost :(
