Doh! I thought had posted this in the Recruitment tab, but it didn't show up until some time after I submitted it, so I couldn't check. I thought the post had gotten eaten.

Soooo according to James Jacobs, we are only “a few weeks away” from the start of the PF2 playtest of the new APG classes, including my PF1 favorite, the oracle (with the investigator a close second). If anyone is planning to run a PbP scenario for the new classes during the playtest, I would very much like to play an oracle (hopefully Paizo will leave it open long enough for a PbP game to run). Maybe we could even pull together a table of oracles, if they're as versatile as they are in PF1, but if not, a group of one PC in each of the new classes - Investigator, Oracle, Swashbuckler, Witch - would make a remarkably well-rounded party.

I will likely be building an Oracle for the next APG playtest, assuming that it goes like the COM playtest did for Starfinder, where they let us build our own 'pregens'. I really hope they do.
Oracles, Investigators, Swashbucklers were all great fun. Witches were never my thing, but boy were they effective in a party.

^Me too. I'm also curious to see which mysteries (or whatever they might call it now) make appearances first. Normally I don't do character repeats but I'm totally doing a 2e version of Corona when/if they put the Time mystery back in :D
My -01 is a time oracle, and I love playing him. He’s level 10 now and has really come into his own.

Guys, speaking of character options, what does one have to do to play advanced classes in PbP gameplay? I read something about unlocking them but I don't really understand.
Also, in the past I used the SRD as a source but it seems that's illegal for PFS PbP, am I right?
We are still awaiting further clarification from the organized play team. Once they put something out then we should know a bit more.

Regarding the use of the SRD - many of us make great use of it all the time and as a GM it is invaluable.
In Paizo Organized Play (PFS or SFS) you are required to own the source for anything used in your character. This can be a PDF, it does not need to be a physical copy, but you must be able to show your GM the rules by which you play. At the moment, for PFS2 we only have the CRB so it is easy. As more sources are made available you will need to track what sources you are using and have proof of ownership if requested.
One known exception to the above rule is if the full details of an item or character feature option are documented on a chronicle sheet then that is considered your resource (make sure to have the copy of the chronicle available if needed).
The Pathfinder Society Guide to Play (Second Edition) is the place to find sanctioned sources.

When you take Magical Crafting you get to choose 4 formulas to start with. Two questions:
(1) Does it matter which ones or are you limited to Level + 1?
(2) For a spellcaster, do you have to choose Scrolls as one of the choices in order to scribe scrolls?
Opps...just re-read the Feat. You get 4 common formulas that are 2L or lower.
The second one I am still interested in.

Alas, no playtest for Organized Play.
Your only option is a very fast campaign mode run of Fall of Plaguestone -- which is a pretty long adventure to do in a PBP in a month.
Hmm

I'll admit that I am disappointed as well by this decision. I was hoping to tryout my -2002 as a goblin oracle. I think I may create her as a placeholder and wait for the option, or I may give up and create her as a bard. I wanted someone who was a storyteller, but also attuned to the gods. The idea of an oracle curse on her would have been kind of awesome...

***Announcement***
I have received a $10 Convention Voucher either during TPKon or Gameday VIII and receive the following message during payment processing. What does this mean and what can I do about it?
That code is not recognized or is not valid for this order
After contacting Customer Service it sounds as if the website was having trouble processing the vouchers recently and all of them had to be deactivated. This does not mean that you are out of luck. If you received a voucher and it is not working please contact the wonderfully helpful Paizo customer service department @ 425-250-0800 and they will assist you in redeeming your voucher.
If anyone needs additional help or has any additional inquiries please don't be afraid to shoot out a PM to the VO team and we will help where we can. I will send this out to all of the lodges to try and get the word out to everyone that received a voucher.
Apologies for the inconvenience,
-Tyranius

Question: Can you sell crafted items, magical or not, to other PC's (with a slight mark-up for your efforts of course)?
For example: My wizard is now 3L, has Expert in Crafting, took Magical Crafting feat and one of the free formulas is Jade Cat Talisman (cost 3 GP each). As a consumable, I make 4 of them. On day 4, the cost is 1.5 GP each. I make my Crafting roll. I spend 2 more days to keep the cost at 1.5 GP each. Can I then sell them to other PC's for 2 GP each?
I understand that it's just 3 GP, but I'm looking ahead at +1 runes, etc.

The closest you could get in PFS1 was characters providing the material components for permanent spells (such as high level heightened continual flames).
Given the odd state of the PFS2 guide, I'd assume similar restrictions as they want to avoid any side economy developing.

I would assume (and fully believe) that the OPF continues its policy of not allowing exchanges of value between players/characters.
As specifically related to the initiating question: you cannot charge service fees to other characters.
And I strongly doubt that you can craft for another player--you can craft items, loan them to another player for a session and then get them back (if they weren't consumables and consumed), but they can't put them on their sheet. Otherwise, a closed group of players could throw off the wealth-by-level by having a dedicated crafter who makes everyone's stuff at half off. Then we'll be back to having crafting be not legal again.

Is there a single pdf for the entire guide, or just the individual links for each chapter?
There are community made PDFs but the Print to PDF function is still on the To Do list.

I believe there are two PDFs in the PFS GM Shared Prep site under Pathfinder 2 / Other.

Can we get the online reporting link put up in the header for the lodge?
And in the meantime, can someone remind me what it is ... (yes, again).
Thanks
