The Dark Champions of Korvosa
Juliet Morris has seen every kind of people. They all pass to visit her, or somebody like her, at the end of their lives.
For example Lysander Tremayne, a Noble paying his respect to a recently deceased peer and Ulfgar Helmhammer, an Ulfen representative of the seneschal, organizing the burial. Nobility and privilege.
Just yesterday a complete different set of people, with Shiriki, a Shoanti bar owner looking to collect an unpaid tab from a murdered patron and Robert Badcock, a local barrister inquiring about that same murder, trying to clear his accused client, where in the same hall.
But everyone goes to Pharasma at the end.
Master Kheldar sees the woman and smiles. When she gets "philosophical", something he is very able to detect, is his opportunity of making a better deal.
Little they know that a dark future will bind them together, their secret identities, and the fate of the city, in the adventure of their lifetime!

Crimson Champions of Korvosa
As the Hellknight finishes reading the new government dispositions, the merchants start to disperse, grumblings filling the air.
Always new taxes. It never ends.
Amyra Zan and Tess Windor, being the only female bar owners in Korvosa walk together, talking about sharing a drink and talk about their life and business. Andras Teoss avoids Riven Archolme, the ex-guard untrusting the ex-convict, while Seven Sword Sinbad tries to decide who to join for a drink, having business with both.
None of them pay attention to the limping Nobleman standing idly in the plaza. But Qot La'Jal's eyes pay attention to everything.
But even he don't realize there are other eyes looking at them all, looking beyond their normal lives, realizing they are the heroes that will defeat the Crimson Throne, or die trying. And if they do, all the city will perish with them!
