    Excited to start too.
Andras: Need to make your alignment Good, and not lawful. He will go against the Crimson Throne, remember?
I will ask for some clarifications/changes today, and I hope get the first gameplay post.

Riven reporting for doody. Hehe... i said 'doody'.

Male Human Vigilante (Faceless Enforcer) 7

I guess I am slightly confused regarding the multiple alignments/identities... Is it OK if I just switch the Social to be LN and Vigilante to be NG? I want to retain the LE option for the Infiltrator.

    Another couple of questions:
    1) Can I assume that the Signature Weapon talent is modified alongside the feat tax rules and applies to the whole weapon group?
    2) My vigilante identity is based on creating a 'rogue hellknight of the Nail' impression. Would you allow to switch the halberd to a similar-looking reach weapon (e.g. bardiche)?

Nothing wrong with being fashionably late.

So, near as I can tell we're all from different districts. I'm in South Shore, Tess is in Northpoint, Qot is from (I assume) the heights, Andras is from Midland, and Sinbad is from Old Korvosa. Not totally sure about Riven. Is that all right?

Right for me Amyra, cool observation.

Also Qot, cool idea putting your passive stats in the class box so it shows without opening a new page. I hope you don't mind if I take that idea.

    General notes:
    - Your characters know each other social identity, but are not "close". You know your names, the basic history, your business and general knowledge. They also know about the vigilante identity, but have not work together before, nor have ANY inkling about who the "real" person is.
    - For each character I would like.
    * Who the Vigilante allies are? Who defend them, who likes them?
    * Who the vigilante enemies are? is the guard actively opposing them? Which kind of criminal despise you the most?
    * One extra magic item. Something small and flavorful. Like a 0 level spell item, or 1 level with limit of uses.
    * One secret. That sometimes come easy, and sometimes comes hard.
    * One Business, organization, etc.
    * District - Base of operations.

I will start posting my characters comments shortly.

Amyra Zan: As you see, I changed your character from a "street bard" to the owner of "Bard's End". If you want to be back to "street bard" it is ok, just say so. Or maybe a compromise? You are the owner, but very few people knows it, as your staff keeps it a "secret" from most patrons.
As for allies, I am not sure... Varisians? Drunks? Who likes her?
As for enemies, seems like the Order of the Nail and the Academae have her in their sights.
For the Magic Item, what about the Lyre? It can play by itself, and make different sounds "programmed" for a later time. It's like Ghost Sound plus alarm clock.
Secret, it was easy. Her dead wife. Thanks for that.
Now... a question: Are you interested in Amyra finding love again? There is an NPC which can become a "love interest" of sorts, but want to know if you are interested in that, or not.
Other question: She has the "Scion of Humanity" racial trait, right?

    Female Varisian "human" Warlock 7
    stats:
    | HP 56/56 | AC 14 TO 14 FF 12 | F +2 R +7 W +5 | CMD 18 | Init +2 | Perc +3

    And we're back!

I think "secret" owner works well for Amyra, since her public persona comes across as a bit ditzy and irresponsible. Most people probably wouldn't believe she was the owner even if someone told them.

Her Social allies would definitely be drunks, performers and Varisians. But her Vigilante allies would most likely be a different crew. Maybe rejected Acadamae applicants or "black market" mages.

A magic lyre sounds perfect. It will especially come in handy later if I go the Social Simalacrum route. (It would suck to have a double that can't play as well as I can.)

At the moment, no, Amyra wouldn't be looking for love. That has potential to change later, but it would be a while.

And yes. I did have Scion of Humanity on my original character sheet, but it seems I lost it somewhere along the way. I'll go ahead and fix that.

    Human Vigilante 7
    Spoiler:
    HP 59/59 | AC 26 TO 14 FF 22 | F +6 R +11 W +9 | CMD: 25 | Init +4 | Perc +17

    * Who the Vigilante allies are? Who defend them, who likes them?

Since she works Northpoint, Avenging Angel is a mostly seen by the middle class people who live there as "who"? She has tried to her best to stay out of the public's eye, so other people have probably gotten the credit for a great deal of her work.

Tess, on the other hand, is loved by most of the adventurers who come to her bar. more than a few of them see it as their second home.

    * Who the vigilante enemies are? is the guard actively opposing them? Which kind of criminal despise you the most?

With the above being said, the Korvosan guard definitely hates her. She made the mistake of being seen early in her career, and the guards have had a "arrest on sight" order on her for several years. Cops don't like vigilantes.

    * One extra magic item. Something small and flavorful. Like a 0 level spell item, or 1 level with limit of uses.

A ring that accurately tells her each day when the sun will rise and set.

    * One secret. That sometimes come easy, and sometimes comes hard.

Though she doesn't ever talk about it, Tess miscarried a child when she was 17 (it was with a boy whoher father hated, so he used that as a turning point to convince her to leave him).

    * One Business, organization, etc.

The Laughing Azlanti, her adventurer's bar in Northpoint. It's near the church of Abadar, and they serve a mean grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup (it's their signature lunch dish). They also have 5 different varieties of beers that change seasonally, with a contest held by the regulars every year for a new one to add to the rotation. The contest winner's beer (if it meets Tess' requirements) gets added to the rotation and they get to drink it for free when it is in season.

When I take Great Renown I plan to open a second one in whatever additional district I take.

    * District - Base of operations.

    Northpoint.

    passive stats:
    | HP 63/63 | F +3 R +11 W +5 | CMD 25 | Init +5 | Perc +10 | Sinbad AC 26 touch 21 flat footed 15 The Baron AC 25, touch 14, flat-footed 22

    * Who the Vigilante allies are? Who defend them, who likes them?

    Spoiler:

Sinbad is rolling in allies and adoring fans. Fist of all he's a famous duelist, and anyone who pays attention to tournament dueling will be a fan. I'm guessing that's mainly nobles and some upper middle class, as in the kind of people who can afford to go to sporting events and other duelists. Second to that are the young nobles that he tutors privately and their parents. Those people mainly just like him but wouldn't stick their neck out. He's loved by the poor. Because of his charity anyone in Old Korvosa who's spent a week hungry has probably been to his free meals on Sundays, and being the poorest district that's most people. He always has some space in his dojo to let urchin children sleep too. If he was attacked on the street you can bet many homeless people around, even children, would intervene or at least yell for help.
The guard has a fondness for Sinbad too. He makes donations several times a year, which the higher ups like, and he encourages his students to join the guard so many newer guard recruits have heard of him at least.
Finally the ones who are most loyal are his students, some students who have been with him a long time are his trusted allies. They know about both his identities.

The Baron of Brevoy is a different story. He's not nearly as social as Sinbad. The guard knows of him and likes that he has a reputation for not killing. The Baron's favorite move when he sees someone in need is to disarm the assailant, knock them down, then scare them away. Other than Sinbad's trusted students the Baron has not gone out of his way to make any friends.

    * Who the vigilante enemies are? is the guard actively opposing them? Which kind of criminal despise you the most?
    Spoiler:

Sinbad and The Baron are both liked by the guard. They're both disliked very much by the crime organizations that prey on the poor. That is to say, the thieves guild wont have a problem with them, but The Baron is known for stopping petty and violent crime, and Sinbad fights hunger and hunger is an easy way to control people. The kind of criminals that despise him the most are the kind like Gaedren Lamm who try to manipulate and control children. The Baron of Brevoy is a vocal defender of the innocent, and even if a child does bad things they're innocent at heart since they don't know any better.

The military academy headmaster doesn't oppose Sinbad but has a dislike for having students that are already trained to think a certain way. More than once a top tier honors student has chosen to become a guard rather than a sable company ranger because they came from Sinbad's school.

Vencarlo Orisini, the owner of Orisini fighting school dislikes Sinbad. Sinbad is his biggest competition for noble students. There's also a rivalry between Fight schools in Korvosa. This extends beyond Orisini's school and Sinbads, since Korvosa is full of fighting schools.

The Baron of Brevoy has made a name for himself as an enemy of certain noble families who either carelessly or intentionally hurt the poor.

    * One extra magic item. Something small and flavorful. Like a 0 level spell item, or 1 level with limit of uses.
    Spoiler:

On the coronation day of the current king (or maybe it was the last one) Sinbad entered the coronation dueling tournament. He won that tournament. The prize for first place was a brooch in the shape of a rapier. Once per day the wearer of this brooch may cast Dazzling Blade.

    * One secret. That sometimes come easy, and sometimes comes hard.
    Spoiler:

Sinbad has a bastard. 13 years ago, before he had opened his school, Sinbad was at the height of his dueling career. It was the first time a noble, John Fairfax, had approached him to tutor their child. While he taught the noble son Harry Fairfax he also seduced the mother, Dianne Fairfax. She was a beautiful woman. She raised Sinbads son, Danny Fairfax, as part of her family without her husband finding out that the boy was a bastard.
    - Sinbad knows about his bastard.
    - Dianne no longer talks to Sinbad.
    - John and Harry never found out that Dianne had an affair.
    - Danny does not know he is a bastard.
    - Harry now helps teach at Sinbad's School.
    - Harry knows Sinbad is The Baron of Brevoy. (even came up with the name himself)
    - Dianne does not know that Sinbad is The Baron of Brevoy.
    - Danny just started attending Sinbad's school.
    - John does not do bad things to poor people however;
    - John is in business partnerships and friendships with some people who do and thus;
    - John considers The Baron of Brevoy a sworn enemy.

    * One Business, organization, etc.
    Spoiler:

Sinbad runs several organizations all under one business. The Swordsman's Sanctuary. The businesses are a sword fighting school, private tutoring, a battle arena, a free clinic, a charity organization, and his own security crew.

He is also a part of a tournament dueling organization, though he has no input into how the organization is run. He just pays dues, gets newsletters and notifications of tournaments etc.

He is part of a lobby group of several people who donate to the guard, and comes in once or twice a year to argue for more guard presence in Old Dock and Bridgefront. The relationship between the lobby group and the guard captain is polite. Every year they're told that the guard is already doing what it can, and they continue to donate money anyways. The group isn't really looking for change, just looking be a constant reminder.

    * District - Base of operations.
    Spoiler:

Sinbad's School is in Old Korvosa in the Garrison Hill neighborhood. The Baron of Brevoy's territory is Old Korvosa, and he is recognized up in the shingles. (with Great Renown is it fine for me to have that as my second community? I figure if Korvosa has a population of about 18000 over 7 districts, plus shingles, the academy and vaults as unofficial districts. that's ten. We probably shouldn't count Greys or Vaults for population distribution. 18/8 = 2.25 or about 2000 per district, plus 2000 remainder to spread to grays, vaults, thief camp and the castle)

Feel free to change the names that I have made up, such as the Fairfax family, to suit your needs, and let me know if everything's okay or if you want me to change anything.

    Half-Orc Bar Owner

I realize I missed a part of a question: What kind of crime do you most dispise? Exploitation of Children. Gaedrin Lamm has been ruining the lives of generations of children in Korvosa and Tess has so far been unable to permanently stop him. It eats at her.

She also has a pretty mean streak towards rapists. While she never kills, she has crippled a pair of men who thought that no meant yes.

Sorry, I changed the name of my social Identity from Riven to Rake. Hope that's alright.

Crimson Shrike is ruthless to those who would do harm to the weak and downtrodden. He sometimes even scares them a little due to the stories of some of his dispensing of ruthless justice. Some even say he's possessed. But he has never harmed those that didn't deserve it and those that have have been changed, the ones that survived encounters with him. For that he hasn't much by the way of allies who condone his method of justice. However he does have one. Cressida Kroft of the Korvosan Guard. She knows that the guard need help and encourage adventurers to help out, that includes having a vigilante in her pocket she can point at trouble her and the guards can't get to.
Rake Archolme also tends to keep to himself. He's friendly to customers of course who frequent where he works. He managed to get a job at Mithral Marvels working for Bowman Figgs, a red bearded bald elderly man, who despite his age, you can see has the lineage of some powerful barbarians in his family tree. Bowman managed to give Riven a chance at redemption despite his past.

    * Who the vigilante enemies are? is the guard actively opposing them? Which kind of criminal despise you the most?
After travelling to the Mwangi Expanse, which is where he learned how to use the boomerang with deadly efficiency, he had run ins with slavers. Especially slavers involved in the selling of women and children must fear him. Thy say that the real Crimson Shrike was born on the night when he found a cargo hold of women and children on a slavers ship and that by the end of that fateful night he was covered in the crimson blood of the slavers he killed on that ship.

    * One extra magic item. Something small and flavorful. Like a 0 level spell item, or 1 level with limit of uses.

    * One secret. That sometimes come easy, and sometimes comes hard.
Rake worked for Lamm for a time. And he managed to get someone out from Lamm's clutches, which was what led to Rake's eventual Beating. Lori, a teenage girl who Lamm manpulated and was his play thing. On one suck occassion is when Rake walked in on her Lamm beating her. It was the turning point for Rake. He got her out soon after and took the beating and was left for dead. He moved her to a different part of the city and helped her get off the drugs that Lamm had her on. He checks in on he often and is helping her with a new life as she attends the Theumanexus College.

    * One Business, organization, etc.
Mithral Marvels is the Blacksmithing and Weapon maker in the East Shore where Rake works. Rake also rents a room in the shingles one block from the shop.

    * District - Base of operations.
Rake lives in the East shore, which is strangely where the Crimson Shrike has been spotted "taking out the trash".

Please let me know if there's anything else you need info wise or need me to change, like names and whatever.

Who the Vigilante allies are? Who defend them, who likes them?:

The only true allies the Shadow Talon has are the Crimson Champions of Korvosa - other than with them, he prefers to work alone. He is feared on Korvosa and sometimes taken as a legend; some people don't truly believe a celestial eagle surrounded by shadows flies the skies to protect the innocent. Needless to say, even the guards fear when they spot him.

Who the vigilante enemies are? is the guard actively opposing them? Which kind of criminal despise you the most?:

Qot hates the crime syndicates who hunted and killed his family. A true worshipper of Desna, Qot loves freedom, liberty and the night stars, and particularly hates slavers and kidnappers. The guards of the city, however, seem to be all on the criminals pockets.

One extra magic item. Something small and flavorful. Like a 0 level spell item, or 1 level with limit of uses.:

The Shadow Tear is a small brooch in the format of the Holy Symbol of Desna. It constantly emanates the cantrip Penumbra when Qot is on the Shadow Talon persona, even though the shadows aren't dark enough to cloud his vision.

One secret. That sometimes come easy, and sometimes comes hard.:

On the beginning of his life against crime, Qot was much more ruthless and reckless, and by times he hurt people way more than they deserved. He doesn't really have a code against killing or anything, but the needless violence from his first days is something he isn't proud of. With that said, he won't refrain from truly hurting or even killing the ones who deserves. His punishment is swift, but not merciless anymore.

    One Business, organization, etc.:

La'Jal Imports is the name of the business that belonged to Karsteen, Qot's mother. It's a small winery nowadays, even though it had more prominence in the past, but enough to give him enough money. Qot is also a Duke with held title from the small islands of Jallear, which gives him some prestige in Varisia.

    District - Base of operations:

Qot lives in the Citadel Crest - Heights District of Korvosa, on the rich parts of the city, but the Shadow Talon flies pretty much everywhere. He focus mostly on the poorest sides of the docks, near the port, where he heard about the criminal syndicates and fights them by night.

    * Who the Vigilante allies are? Who defend them, who likes them?
MIdlands Business owners, small-time criminals like pickpockets and prostitutes who are pressed into crime by the mob - The Final Nail goes after their bosses and never hurts them.

    * Who the vigilante enemies are? is the guard actively opposing them? Which kind of criminal despise you the most?
Order of the Nail; Andras despises corrupt guards and arsonists, and his prime targets are Cerulean society and other organized crime rings.

    * One extra magic item. Something small and flavorful. Like a 0 level spell item, or 1 level with limit of uses.
A pillow that houses an enchanted stymphalidies feather which can be used to cast Bed of Iron 1/day.

    * One secret. That sometimes come easy, and sometimes comes hard.
Early in his career, he has witnessed a hellknight turning a blind eye to a horrible crime because it wasn’t happening in a district he was paid to patrol. Andras has stalked the hellknight and beat him up pretty hard, leaving him unconscious and bleeding and taking his weapon. So he is potentially guilty of murdering a hellknight and stealing the property of the Order. The Final Nail is fairly high on the Order’s wanted list and they have been lobbying the Crimson Throne to also get the Guard and the Sable Company to organise a raid to find him, but so far haven’t been successful.

    * One Business, organization, etc.
Construction materials / carpentry shop in Midlands.

    * District - Base of operations.
Midlands - second floor and basement of the construction materials shop he owns. Basement is actually a remainder from his family estate.

Out of curiosity, just how Hellknight-ish do you look in costume? Is it distinct enough that someone could tell you apart at a glance, or would they have to be paying close attention?

As for Scourge's most despised criminals, she would be largely preoccupied with finding her wife's killer, so she would ignore most petty crimes. However, she she won't turn a blind eye to an innocent being hurt, and is extra watchful over women and children. If she sees anyone preying on foreigners or newcomers to the city, she is especially vicious when dealing with them.

Male Human Shaman (Benefactor, True Silvered Throne) 1

Mechanically, I have a +12 to disguise so on average a DC 22 Perception check would normally be required tell me apart from a real hellknight. Unless I focus on infiltrating a group that accepts hellknights by specifically posing as one - then I get a +10 Disguise bonus.

In-game I would say that for a layman I pretty much look like the real thing, but a real hellknight or someone who deals with real hellknights on a day-to-day basis would be able to pick up the difference in gait/armor decor details/slang etc. - again, unless I choose hellknights as my Infiltrator identity.

    Sorry to hear that.

So... here we differ from "normal" adventuring parties.
The usual is for you to show up unannounced, knock the door, kick ass and take names. No planning, no reconnaissance, no elegance.
In your case it would be different.
    - Knowledge(Local), Diplomacy, Intimidate checks to learn (choose one):
    - Plans of the building
    - Information about who might be there
    - History of the place

    - Disguise checks to (choose one):
    - Infiltrate the place
    - Keep watch from the outside

    - As always, if you write a nice RP scene of you skill roll, you gain a bonus (+1, +2?)

    - Any other ideas of skill uses?

After you get the info, you plan your attack...

    About Cohorts and Followers:
    - Cohorts give you an "extra" roll for getting info
    - Followers can do "simple" stuff, but no rolls. The idea of having one living near and using his house is very good, and valid.
    - It would be hard for me to "control" them. You handle them, and use them fast and easy, and we will be ok.

About what you gain with successes, I am thinking in:
    - The map of the place
    - Number of enemies
    - Kind, abilities, weaknesses
    - Where are they? What schedules? Which patrols?
    - Ways to enter, to exit, to infiltrate (they need their phones fixed, they order pizza on Tuesdays, etc.)
    - Any other ideas?

The plan is for you to be able to plan, to coordinate, and to get the 1-hit KO the vigilantes seems best suited for.

Cool. I guess all that happens at the end of the scene?

Yes, but I am not sure you want to ask something else to Rozalina / Alika.

So, the introductions have been done. Any questions for Alika? What about your rolls and plans for taking on Gaedren Lamm?

Male Human Vigilante (Faceless Enforcer) 7

To clarify - did you intend us to do those rolls as part of our nightly (or daily in some cases I suppose?) independent vigilante activity, or as part of a group brainstorm like Tess is describing?

Whatever you prefer. The important thing is you can describe how you look for the information. If you decide to do it "as a team" it is ok, and if you combine your talents that would certainly be worth a big bonus to your rolls.

    Female Varisian "human" Warlock 7
    stats:
    | HP 56/56 | AC 14 TO 14 FF 12 | F +2 R +7 W +5 | CMD 18 | Init +2 | Perc +3

If everyone wants to collaborate to search as a team, I'd be okay with that. Otherwise, I'll make my post tomorrow/this afternoon (it's after midnight here and I'm going to sleep)

    Human Vigilante 7
    Spoiler:
    HP 59/59 | AC 26 TO 14 FF 22 | F +6 R +11 W +9 | CMD: 25 | Init +4 | Perc +17

Im fine with either. We all work different districts, so we each have different avenues to explore; conversely, we can question the locals in one of our areas of infleunce
