Game Master James Martin

The endgame is nigh for Korvosa! Can the heroes stop a mad queen and end her threat before she sacrifices an entire city to fuel her aims?

Indeed, protection from evil will cause you to be free of the charm/compulsion while under its effects.

The Queen seems to notice you're not responding and snarls her fury. Ruperta responds in turn, unleashing her bolts at the woman, but all three hit some sort of force around her and deflect! Paxs's tigers reject the spell and the rest of you are protected!

Pai, Corbyn, Slumper and Paxs are still up!

It's entirely possibly you'll live... but not very likely... :)

Let's make this interesting.

Working in tandem, Paxs' tigers and Corbyn dispatch the clones, leaving only the true Queen standing across the room, her features flickering between solid and blood.

"You idiot children. You meddle in affairs too great for your petty minds to understand. The Crown is mine. Korvosa was a joke, a pretty little mistake settled by fools who tried to mimic Cheliax. But their souls, their blood, your souls, you will feed my Godhood. You will feed my rebirth!" Illeosa throws her arms back and for a split second, it's not her standing there, but a great wyrm, a blue dragon whose eyes flash with lightning. It only lasts a split second, and Illeosa stands before you, the Crown of Fangs somehow now a part of her skull, her eyes lightning and fury. She smiles and her right hand twitches, her thumb touching a ring on her finger as stone seems to spread over her skin.

"Now, children, it is time for your lesson to end. Come to me, come to me and die." The fan flutters next to her, seeming to lean toward you. Her beauty seems to increase, until she is both terrible and gorgeous, and you blink as sudden tears appear in your eyes. You wipe them away and start, as you see you're weeping blood.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Dismantle Armor (Ex) If a bebilith hits a foe with both claw attacks, it can attempt to peel away the target's armor and shield as a free action by making a CMB check. If the bebilith is successful, the target's armor and shield are torn from his body and dismantled, falling to the ground. Armor subjected to this attack loses half its hit points and gains the broken condition if the target fails a DC 25 Reflex save. The save DC is Strength-based.
Penetrating Strike (Su) A bebilith's natural weapons are treated as chaotic and magical for the purposes of penetrating damage reduction. Against creatures with the demon type, its natural weapons are also treated as cold iron and good.
Rot (Su) A bebilith's bite causes a horrible withering and weakening of the flesh, resulting in a hideous melting and foul rotting effect. This catastrophic withering begins on the round the creature is bitten and continues for another 4 rounds thereafter, for 5 rounds of withering in all. Each round the rot persists, the target must succeed on a DC 25 Fortitude save or take 2 points of Constitution damage. If the target makes two consecutive saving throws in a row, the effect is cured. Heal can also halt the rot effect. The save DC is Constitution-based.

Corbyn, still slowed, trudges forward toward the Queen. Paxs dismisses his tigers and summons a spider from the Abyss! It attacks, but its attacks seem to all miss!

Pai sends a thin grey line of power at the Queen, which almost looks as if it will barely miss her, but at the last moment she slides to the side to avoid the spider's claws and is hit! The Queen screams in pain and anger as a portion of her dress and side simply dissolves into grey dust. Her eyes burn with fury as she focuses on Pai!

Ruperta raises her crossbow and it thrums as fires three times. Only a single bolt gets through, cutting the queen, whose skin seems to burn. Slumper raises his shield, trying to bash into her, but she nimbly avoids him.

Her wounds begin to knit closed as you watch, and her fan dances out to stab un-fan-like at Corbyn!

The Queen seems to be... transparent. The solid, real queen is no where to be seen! This sounds like a spell you've heard of: Mislead.

"That's not the real Queen! She is trying to sneak away from us! Ruperta, Paxs, we need to see through her Invisibility!"

Ruperta pipes up..."I have just the spell prepared today!" She says as she casts Invisibility Purge.

Details of the spell: You surround yourself with a sphere of power with a radius of 5 feet per caster level that negates all forms of invisibility. Anything invisible becomes visible while in the area. Your call as to whether Pai would have told her before or after she fired her bow this round, DM.

Slumper and Corbyn move up to flank the revealed Queen and Slumper manages to strike her, even as she deflects Serithiel's might. Four might tigers appear and attack, but only the very well placed attacks of two of the tigers can penetrate her defenses! She turns her burning eyes toward the party even as her wounds knit shut before you! With a flash, there are suddenly 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 nine images of the Queen occupying her space! Quickened! Her eyes burning, she casts carefully Concentration, vs DC 23: 1d20 + 36 ⇒ (19) + 36 = 55 and as she finishes, she seems to explode with unholy energies!
