Discussion for
A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 7–11.
The time has come to strike down the vile Korholm Agenda, the faction of the Aspis Consortium that launched a staggering attack against the Pathfinder Society a year ago. The Agenda’s leader has allied himself with one of the most powerful men in Thuvia, and together they are on the cusp of pitching the entire region into a brutal war of conquest and greed. The Pathfinder Society has placed its trust in the PCs to stop this internecine conflict. To do so, they must confront the Korholm Agenda’s leader in his own domain.
Content in “Ageless Ambitions” also contributes directly to the ongoing storyline of the Sovereign Court faction. Content in this scenario also ties into a special metaplot element from Pathfinder Society Special #6–98: "Serpents Rise." Players who have completed that special event are encouraged to bring its Chronicle sheet when playing this adventure.
Not yet recruiting...check back in a few days.

Vrald Sehir |
Name: B Viggers
Character: Vrald Sehir
Class - Fighter-8
PFS 100387-7
Faction: Sovereign Court
Day job: Apprentice knight, no time for material pursuits
Special things: Fey Foundling. Heals +2hp per dice of curing, but takes an extra point of damage from cold iron weapons.
Role: Heavy Tank.
Will buy a +2 cloak of resistance (3000gp upgrade from +1 cloak)
Also Vrald has been trained as a
Spymaster: Once per adventure, you can coach up to seven other creatures in the use of a skill that you select when you use this ability. For the duration of the adventure, those creatures gain a +4 competence bonus on checks using that skill and halve their armor check penalty when using the skill.
So if we think there is a particular skill that would be handy for one or more people to get a boost in, (preferably one we will use more than once!) let me know. I guess I could default it to perception, but that sounds a bit boring!
Lord Sinclair 'Percy' Blakros |

I think we are only waiting on Brother Theo to check in, I'm sure he'll be along soon, so I'll go ahead and get us started.
Holly Day |
I will be attending and helping run a local convention this weekend (Oct. 14-16, 2016). I will try to post as able while at the convention and will catch up on anything I miss Sunday evening.
Chaosorbit |
Have fun at the local cons! No worries, the game will likely be a bit slow this weekend anyway, as my eldest son is home from college for the weekend (1st time since Aug)...so we have a bunch of things planned!
Shifty |
I'll still be around, the running of a con is pretty easy - except for Sunday where I am Overseer for the multi-table special, that is a circus!
I don't know HOW I ended up running a con, probably the same way I ended up running the multi table PbP's. I need to re-evaluate my life choices... :p
Vrald Sehir |
Sorry for the delay, I missed the start.
Any updates on diplomacy or sense motive for the skill coaching? I'm suspecting most of us have good diplomacy already, and later scenarios tend to downplay its use a bit, so that may be buffing the wrong skill, but more than happy to put it where the consensus of most use will be.
Vrald Sehir |
I can't see many of us wanting to use too much disguise, but bluff or stealth.., or the aforementioned sense motive could be helpful.
We don't need to choose straight away, so long as I've got time to give you a brief run-down on "How the Lion Blades would approach it" I think we would be good.
Vrald Sehir |
Vrald is a 0. But with coaching, we have almost a 75% chance of most aid attempts working, and a pretty good chance of a decent score on the lead roll with Percy or Boffins.
Any advances on Bluff for the skill to be coached in?

One more bit of info -- for those who have played 6-98, Serpents Rise, on any character. Post in discussion which of the character you earned the Spoils of the Siege boon for.
Chaosorbit |
@Fek -- do me a favor when you get a chance. You can use the Race, Class/Levle, and Gender fields on your character profile to put a quick stat line under your character name of the posts. Take a look at the others for examples. Thanks! Your doing great for your first PbP!

Just move yourself as appropriate if you have trouble with it you can always ask someone else to move your token.
Dr. Zephyrus Vitruvian |
@Percy: I was just thinking you should adventure together with my Witch sometime - another Chaotic Good Elf with a Faerie Dragon Familiar. His Patron is Time. He's level 9 now, but may be 10 soon if the adventure he's in now is a full Module rather than Scenario (it kind of feels like a Module).
Dr. Zephyrus Vitruvian |
Can't you go a lot further than 12th level now, though?
Can you play Eyes of the Ten without retiring at the end?
Dr. Zephyrus Vitruvian |
That was the impression I was getting. I certainly hope so.
Outside of computer games, I have never, ever had the opportunity to experience high-level play.
Dr. Zephyrus Vitruvian |
I'd like to at least get to experience it for myself before it gets nerfed to hell or whatever. I spent the entire 3.0/3.5 era feverishly collecting books and almost never getting to play with any of it for various reasons, and what experiences I had petered out quickly (again) for various reasons - that's to say nothing of having the opportunity to have a group where I can exercise my full potential with people who can roleplay at my level. I spent so many years stuck with bean-counters and creative-play-haters that I'm worried I've lost the spark. Pathfinder Society has been my first real gaming opportunity.
I'd so love an opportunity to play with all that 3.5 material Paizo's not allowed to use, as well as try all the homebrewed stuff I've made up (Pact Magic in particular - the Medium is kind of an insult).
Shifty |
I find myself doing the bulk of the GM'ing in face to face play, so my opportunities can be a bit limited. PbP is at least 80% of my 'play' time... and even in PbP I gm a lot.
With that said, my interests have piqued into organising bigger events - I figure I could GM for six, or Overseer for a hundred... and so now I am planning and running cons as well.
I will never get over the sad loss of 2nd Ed D&D and the Ravenloft and Darksun setting (especially Darksun) where I never got to play in them once, I just GM'd them with the vain hope that one of my mates would shoulder their fair share and run something in those worlds so I could play but nooooooo - not a once. I GM'd heaps of it, played none of it.
PFS is about all I play now, as it is the only way I can guarantee there will be a game when I want one.
Dr. Zephyrus Vitruvian |
I don't know what it means to you, then, that they in fact resurrected DARK SUN for, of all things, 4E?
Also, there's this. They did a really good job updating DARK SUN to 3.5 (the distinctive Athasian Bard, in particular).
Dr. Zephyrus Vitruvian |
Well, Pathfinder is better thought of as "D&D 3.75," so while there are many differences, what we're playing is very very similar to 3rd Edition. Some really cool material came out of that. Like I said, I have most of the books (including a wide array of really cool 3rd party stuff), but barely got to play with any of it.
