Setebo
Initiative if you want it 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12.
"Look out. Fungus people from below!"
Setebo moves to protect the group. In a perfect world there would be a half circle consisting of the Captain then Our Lady then Setebo. 5' gap between Caithan and Natalyah then a 10' gap to Setebo and his long spear.
Caithan Kalson
"Just saves us time trying to dig them out." Caithan says as he steps into his guard and focuses a steely eyed glare at the larger of the fungus men.
might as well
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Initiative
DM Wellard
battle map, afterpart of the ship only place the bad guys in 18.19,19.19,18.20,19.20.
You are near the right hand door
Atzi
Initiative 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Atzi brandished her shortspear and started making a loud whooping noise to attract Quetza's attention.
Quetza was coming in from the east, turning sharply and giving a harsh cry as he responded to Atzi's noise.
Natalyah Melethiell
Round 1, initiative 10
ac 17
hp 20/20
effects: none
Main hand attack to attack the nearest foe: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26, damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Crit confirm: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9, damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
If i'm within 5ft i'll make an off hand attack as well (in that case, subtract 2 from the the main hand attack)
Off hand attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12, damage 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Natalyah engages the nearest foe, delivering a telling cut with her short sword.
Setebo
Round 1 AC15 HP23 Effects: none
Setebo shakes his head sadly at the thought of more killing. Holding his long spear in his right hand his left plucks a javelin from his back and hurls it at one of the small plant-things.
Attack first of six javelins 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21. Damage 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9.
The savage spear sinks solidly into the plant-things fiberous flesh.
Helga Evadottir Alfchild
Here are the creature's positions, Wellard, but I am not sure where this 'door on the right' is to place the party.
Helga Evadottir Alfchild
Caithan Kalson
Huh well that simplifies things. Remind me to introduce Wellard ot maptool sometime. Which one's the big one?
"Tally ho!"
Rushing forward with his great blade Caithan whistles a command to the dog as he steps between him and the nearest target to give the group room.
Move: Direct Rollo to attack from 17.20
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Trip:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

Damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (1, 2) + 8 = 11
Amisi
|
Amisi contemplates to go ahead and burn them - but she remembers how she was told off when she did that the last time. Not sure if acid will do any harm she half-heartedly draws her dagger and throws it on the closest enemy before her friends can rush in..
Dagger ranged attack assuming -2 for distance 1d20 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 1 - 2 = 11
I doubt this is enough - even flat footed. At least it is not miles off. But just in case:
Damage 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Caithan Kalson
Didn't state a coordinate for my move last post. So i'm placing Natalyah in 19.21 if that's ok
Caithan's already there. :*( You can hit 20.21 and still do your action without issue.
DM Wellard
Amisi throws her dagger but it bounces off the creatures hide.Setebo throws a javelin which badly wounds the creature in 18.20 then Natalia moves up and slashes at the larger creature causiung it to drip ichor on the decking.
Helga casts grease around the creatures
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
All 4 off them slip to the ground.
Need Atzi's action before I resolve Caithens.
Atzi
Atzi holds her ground, allowing the better fighters to move forward and into the fray. When Caithan makes his move she decides to move in behind him and assist him by trying to force the creature into the path of his attacks.
Hold Initiative to match Caithans.
Move to 19.22
Aid Another - +2 to Caithans attacks 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10 Success~!
Quetza in the mean time storms across the deck with a savage roar as he surges to the left of the fighting humanoids and comes at the plant things. He ignores the smelly hound fighting to his left as he brings his savage teeth to bare on his opponent...
Move to 17.21
Quetza Bite Attack on plantman @ 18.20 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
--->Bite Damage 2d6 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7
DM Wellard
tried Maptool didnt like it
Atzzi and caithen move as one the druid distracting the larger creature whilst Caithen strikes.(remember he gets another +4 for the target being prone..)
the large creature is badly wounded now. Rolo and Quetza take out their targets. Both creatures try to stand
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Caithen Atzi and OLoB have AoO's
Caithan Kalson
Caithan sees the large foe attempt to stand adn brings his blade heavily on what might have been the creatures next.
"Should have stayed down."
AOO
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
2d6 + 8 ⇒ (2, 3) + 8 = 13
Natalyah Melethiell
New round? If that's the case, could we have a map update?
And in case the plant man who incurred a AoO from me is still standing (i.e. not the one that Caithan struk down)
AoO attack roll: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19, damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Natalyah slashes against the plant creatures leg as it tries to rise, a gracing cut with promises of more to follow.
Setebo
"Poor plant-men."
Setebo rapidly searches the bodies and retrieves his javelin. He lays the dead along the far side of the boat. Taking some care to show respect.
"So shall we try one of the doors or is it down the hatch?"
For a strange little beast Setebo has a remarkably effective pokerface. Was that a joke or just Setebo being Setebo.
Caithan Kalson
"Are you crazy? The hold isn't flooded," Helga exclaims. "There's a chance this ship could still float and sail, if we scrape off the mould and repair the sails!"
"If the ropes rotted the wood isn't too far behind." Caithan says. "It'd take months to repair it and long exposure to what had likely did in these men."
Atzi
Sorry for the long wait, preparing for an interview in the next couple of days, I have been lurking and watching though! =D
Atzi entered the hold warily Shortspear raised and listened to the back and forth of everyones bantering as she proceeded to look for a way down to the next level. While searching however she inspected the items on the floor, trying to see if she could tell if anything was worthwhile or not.
Since we haven't been seeing a spore producing plants~ Correct me if I am wrong DM Wellard~
"Let us finish exploring this place, then figure out if this ship is salvageable. If it is not, it would still make an interesting place to make camp... at least once the fungus is cleared out. It would be a solid and decent shelter from nature and her elements. Also our enemies could not gather quickly or surround us easily as well, so we could make our stand if we had too..."
She says all of this while appraising the items that sit in front of the dead men.
Quetza in the mean time refused to enter the small space and was guarding the main deck instead.
Natalyah Melethiell
"Are you crazy? The hold isn't flooded," Helga exclaims. "There's a chance this ship could still float and sail, if we scrape off the mould and repair the sails!"
Normally Helga's outburst would provoke a retaliation from Natalyah, but this time there is neither irritation or impatience reflecting in the ranger's eyes. Its hope. "You can fix this?" she says not sure what to believe.
DM Wellard
The treasure consists off 648 cp, 426 sp, 185 gp, and jewelry
worth 875 gp amid the bones, along with a pair of bracers and a wand.
Careful exploration of the ship shows that the creatures had set up camp in what was the ships galley.
In the Captains cabin above you find the ships logs..much damaged by mold you can still decipher it with a Linguistics check
Helga Evadottir Alfchild
Helga will examine the bracers and wand if permitted, using detect magic:
Spellcraft (wand): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Spellcraft (bracers): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
When they reach the captain's cabin she is in her element with the logbook:
Linguistics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 and if that is insufficient she will use her last spell of the day to comprehend languages.
