Pressing glowing buttons is always a good idea, especially in this AP.
When Jolkum presses the golden panel, it immedately stops flashing and becomes a dull gray.
The room begins to hum, and a series of clicks and buzzes echo down the hall. Atop the glass table, a transparent three dimensional image appears and begins to slowly spin.
Anyone still in the desert valley area is awed as the "sky" suddenly springs to life, with a pair of red suns slowly setting.

Vezron Deelt |

Vezron stays out in the desert while the others move in to watch for anything trying to attack them from behind. Upon the activation of the "sky" he sits and stares at it trying to analyze what he is looking at and where it might have come from. However his lack of knowledge in stellar bodies just informs him that it is probably another planet.
He then moves inside where the sight of the 3D object draws his attention. He begins to study it.

Rosa_Luminass |

Rosa comes in a looks at the image
KN Eng DC10 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
KN Eng DC15 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
"It is a kind of... magic image, somewhere there is an eye sending the image to it, this here is a reset...device. But I don't fully know what that will do until you... to late... O a auto-map, its a space city map, interesting. Now how do I get it to show current location"
She walks around looking to see of she can find the maps controls.
"The space city was made with independent units, self powered and with thire own internal construct intelligence's. This was for safety, should part of the craft be hit, other parts would seal off and keep working. Once the thing it a planet, some systems kept going. I was in a craft pod, I seem to remember. But it shut down on land fall and eons passed. Its good to see some of this systems like this still working."
She smiles and its a real smile.
"I think I am having emotions, this must be what pride feels like"

Rosa_Luminass |

"This was one of support module craft for the space city. The "Kasath" Other than its name on a long ago list I have little knowledge of what its designated roll was. It says here Habitat Module CX-335 So I suspect it was a craft carrying specimens."
She looks at the others.
"We could find anything here, module craft where sent in to pick up specimens when we came to a star system with something of interest. I have no idea what, My task was to look after a small area with in such a craft not to deal with Xeno-biology systems"
She looks wistfully at the craft model and map.
"It is such a shame that a craft like this is now smashed on this world. But this data bank is not the only one. There where crew I knew who had personal data slates that had a wealth of information about all the systems and sub-systems of the craft with related math-magics and physics. Information like that could change this world for ever."
She looks up and around the space they are.
"One could build a hole new world with such knowledge."
looking back at the map she says.
"Map, are you voice activated?"

Darian Six |

Darian replies to Rosa's wistfulness in Androffan.

Rosa_Luminass |

"The maps controls are not working, I will have a look"
She looks for them to see how broken they are.
KN Eng roll to fix 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Azmerai |

Azmerai scrubs his dirty head before sitting down and letting the others handle this strange stuff.
Could I find pieces of metal from the walls. Even a big block would work. A long sliver would be better ;-)

Captain collateral damage |

Dangit. Sorry about the map, is fixed now. :(
The next door down slides open easily. The room is dominated by a large table surrounded by chairs, all of wich face a massive window overlooking the desert valley. Covering the walls and pillars are writings in an unknown language, as well as numerous drawings of a hooded figure, as well as an axe made of bones.

Azmerai |

"What is that? An axe of bones is worthless. Shatters instantly!"
Azmerai looks around if there is anything to scavenge. Old pieces of strange cloth, decorations, the like.
Perc: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

Rosa_Luminass |

Rosa puts her heads on the broken controls and small sparks can be seen coming from her finger.
Artificer’s Touch: [1d6+1][5/day]
You can cast mending at will, using your cleric level as the caster level to repair damaged objects. In addition, you can cause damage to objects and construct creatures by striking them with a melee touch attack. Objects and constructs take 1d6 points of damage +1 for every two cleric levels you possess. This attack bypasses an amount of damage reduction and hardness equal to your cleric level. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.
if it works she will try to get the map to show where they are.

Jolkum Torn Heart |

The drawings are in the room with me Az, I moved you so your post makes sense. Hope you don't mind.
Jolkum turns to face Azmerai as he enters, a look of annoyance on his face.
"Don't do that, you startled the 9 hells out of me. If you are going to follow behind me we are going to have to teach you how to be a little quieter, don't want to walk in to an ambush...
Leaving the DM some perfect timing for his ominous gm rolls. I feel like I probably should have another character built, something in the back of my head is saying this is where I die.

Captain collateral damage |

From behind the table comes a hurled javelin which just barely misses Jolkum.
A four armed creature of rotting flesh stands, raises a pair swords, and glares at you with a look of pure hate.
Initiative: Jolkum; Lelet; Darian; Azmerai; Rosa; Vezron; Monster: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 301d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 211d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 91d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 181d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 221d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 31d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Jolkum, Lelet, Azmerai, and Rosa are up. Jolkum is very lucky I rolled a 2.

Vezron Deelt |

Vezron moves up and swings at the monster.
attack: 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 5 - 1 = 19 power attack
damage: 2d6 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 + 3 = 15

Captain collateral damage |

Have PM'd Lelet, she hasn't responded, so I'm just going to assume she moves up and fires her crossbow.
Crossbow: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0 Merp.
The creature somehow avoids all but Vezron's attack, which does not seem to damage it as much as it should have. It then lashes out with both blades and fists, one of which strikes Vezron.
10 damage to Vezron (Sorry), Everyone is up.

Captain collateral damage |

Lelet crossbow: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (20) - 2 = 181d8 ⇒ 7
Crit?: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 01d8 ⇒ 6
The creature falls under the party's combined assault, swords clattering to the ground.
This guy is arguably the most deadly encounter in the entire AP. He has 4 TPKs to his name on the obituary thread. :D
It's level up time!
2 javelins
40 gp
Magic cloak

Azmerai |

Azmerai picks up Vezron and leans him against a wall. "Rosa, can you do something for him?"
Putting the two-handed sword back in his hands Azmerai looks around.
Taking the swords in his hands he smiles. "That is good quality, indeed! Maybe I can barter a good weapon with good spirits with one of those!"

Rosa_Luminass |

Goes to Vezron and looks over the damage.
Her hands work and a nanigh swarm hit its blood stream.
CLW 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 + Channel Energy (Su) [Positive] 1d6 ⇒ 3
Perception DC20 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 / Spellcraft DC18 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
She goes and picks up the cloak and raps Vezron in it as he comes to.
"This will help, keep it on"
She says to him, standing and looking at the others.
"Any other hurt?"

Vezron Deelt |

Vezron's red eye opens and looks around unnaturally for a few seconds before closing. A moment later he opens both eyes. He sits bolt upright groping around for his sword, until her realizes that it is still in his hands. He stands up, draped in the cloak, and turns to Rosa.
He eyes the body on the floor and turns to the rest of the group. He motions to the body with his sword. "So what did I miss while I was.." He pauses thinking of the right idiom, "taking a nap."

Captain collateral damage |

The spell lasts for 4 hours, so you probably could explore more, but it might be wise toplay it safe.
You haven't been down here long if you go purely by combat and movement times, but I'm assuming you would take a little bit of a rest after most combats, and searching takes time. Feel free to atempt the DC 20 Perception check. :)

Jolkum Torn Heart |

Jolkum waves at the crowd, trying to pick out the young lady Val. "We have not yet found our man, and sad tidings of two dead we bring. We have retrieved their corpses so that they may have a proper funeral."
