Telos Downshot

Telos thoughtful scanning of the room is abruptly interrupted by the ghostly figure, alarming him greatly at first.
Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Fortunately he is not truly shaken.
He then aims and concentrates on the location where he just saw it disappear.
Elemental ray vs. concealed/invisible ghost: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Electricity Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
hmm, nice rolls suddenly. Also, i presume that we haven't had time in between to replenish spells/abilities?
Thran

Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Thran shudders at the appearance of the ghost
"..I'll decide myself if I'll get out thank you very much!"
Knowledge (Religion) - Bardic knowledge: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20
"...you, you poltergeist you!"
Anything on how to destroy it or what's it is immune/resistant too would be nice to know

Will Save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
"Let's see if this works, then," Philoneus growls. His hands lights up with flame and he takes a five foot step forward. He reaches into the square that the poltergeist was last seen.
Melee touch: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
concealment always high: 1d100 ⇒ 58
Fire: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Not knowing about religion and ghosts and whatnot, Philoneus yells, "Mr. Tiggles! Sic!".
I'm going to assume Mr. Tiggles was beside Philoneus because that's where he's supposed to be and I can't move him right now because phone. The raptor does know the attack trick twice so I don't need to push him.
Handle Animal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
GM Dennis

Yeah, sorry. I should have moved him with you.

Philoneus and Telos both seem to connect with their magical attacks. The apparition is too much for Deenha, however, who turns and flees down the stairs, followed closely by Mr. Tiggles.
Suddenly, a chair begins to vibrate violently before flying at Telos!
attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
The sorceror nimbly dodges out of the way, leaving the chair to clatter harmlessly against the ground.
-----
@Thran: It has no particular resistances or immunities, aside from Incorporeal traits (meaning nonmagical attacks can't harm it, magical attacks and spells do half damage, force damage, holy water, and positive energy effects like channeling deal full damage. Spells without an attack roll have a 50% chance of working. You also know this creature has natural invisibility, meaning it can remain invisible even while attacking.
Initiative:
All non-frightened members of the party may act. Please remember to include a Will save if you have not already done so. DC 14 or frightened.
Roven Bluntaxe

Unfortunately Roven is pretty much useless here. My acid flasks might do half damage if I'm lucky, but... think I'll hold off. Sorry all. I'll try to help out by supporting.
Roven, not seeing much he can do to actually harm the ghost, tries to distract it with his combat prowess. He steps into the room and around where Philoneus seems to be pointed, and swings his axe into the area seeing if he can throw it off at all.
If it's there
Miss Chance, High Good: 1d100 ⇒ 22
Attack for Aid Another (AC 10) to +2 AC for Philoneus: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Looks like Roven is swinging at thin air.

"It's a natural invisible incorporeal undead..our best chance of defeating it is with Zekuli channelling..and everyone else trying to locate it so we can can either douse it with holy water or maybe try to hit it with a cure light wounds spell"
I just noticed I and Zekuli were not in the room on the map
"Get in here Zekuli"
Or we can go outside the room, close the door..hope it doesn't follow us and wait for our frightend companions to return?

"Cure spells, got it," Philoneus said with displeasure at Mr. Tiggles' exit evident in his voice.
He pulls out his wand of Cure Light Wounds, possibly provoking, and cast it while stabbing at where the Poltergeist had been.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Always high: 1d100 ⇒ 22

As it does appear that he misses, Philoneus will hold the charge.
GM Dennis

I still need a Will save from you, Roven.
None of your attacks seem to connect with anything. Philoneus' wand continues to glow with the held charge.
Zekuli may act. Also, if you think you would have followed the others into the room, you may start in the room this turn.

Will save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Knowledge religion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Zekuli's experience confirms what Thran tells everyone, so he considers his options. "I do have a vial of holy water in my bag, but since I don't know where the thing is, I think this will be a better option..."
He steps to block the doorway and then turns his head to one side to reveal the mark of Nethys on his neck, and channels some of his magical energy. "Begone, creature of undeath!"

You hear a scream of rage from the creature, coming from somewhere in the northern half of the room Please make me a perception check to determine more precisely where the sound came from.
Another chair begins to rattle by the table, then quickly flies toward Zekuli.
attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Actually I don’t think the chair landed? Assuming it was targeting AC, not touch AC
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Zekuli’s eyes widen when he sees a chair come flying at him, but he holds up his buckler arm to break the impact and it flies into pieces. Seeing that his strategy worked against the poltergeist, he takes a step toward the north to keep it within range and channels once more. “Nobody wants you here any more!” he calls out grumpily.

Suddenly, Zekuli fees a force pushing him toward the door!
Bull rush: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 <--You're moved 5ft toward the door.
Mr. Tiggles and Roven continue cowering, but Deenha seems to get ahold of herself and begins to make her way back up the stairs (This round will get you back up onto this map, then next round you'll be free to act normally.)
The gold pieces continue to sit, motionless, in their nice, portable chests.

"They are still fighting..but at this point I'm sure it's worth it anymore..As soon as Zekuli joins us out here..I think we've got what we came for"
Zekuli
|
"We're leaving, we're leaving," Zekuli grumbles as he heaves the chest out of the room. At least the chair wasn't directed at him this time. "Last one out, shut the door, hopefully that thing won't follow us," he calls out as he passes out into the hallway.
GM Dennis
|
Thran and Zekuli pick up the chests and hustle them out the door as more furniture gets hurled around the room. As the door closes, you can still hear the screaming and chaos inside, but the creature does not seem to follow you out of the room. Once outside, they find the rest of the party, some just recovering from their fright.
You have two unopened chests that feel like they are full of coins (chest #1 was under the table, chest #2 was in front of the bookshelf). What would you like to do with them?
Thran
|
Thran puts down the chest he's carrying and looks around at the others present
"Uhm..I just realized that we never even opened these chests to verify their contends, but then again we we're a bit busy to try that inside....does anyone have some experience in checking these for traps? Before we open them and see if there's actually money inside them
GM Dennis
|
Deenha takes a moment to examine the chests. Both seem to be locked, and her thorough examination of them reveals a mechanical poison trap on chest #2.

***OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT***
"Ladies and gentlemen, the Cathedral of Abadar will soon open its doors for the public auction! Anyone interested in participating must be within the cathedral in fifteen minutes. "If no onehas the talent to crack it open I say we find a tall building, wrap them up in some canvas, and toss them off to break 'em open. Or we could ask the other Pathfinders. Either way, we better move fast."
Zekuli
|
Zekuli jerks away from the chest he was carrying and stands a good ten feet away. Traps... you don't mess around with traps... he thinks, shaking his head.
"I did my part," he says, by which he means carrying the chest 30 feet. "Now it's time for you agile people do your.... thing." He waves his hand vaguely, not knowing much about what it would take to open a chest. "If no one can get them open safely we should just take the chests as-is and hope for the best."
Thran
|
I don't think anyone here has disable device..so let's just take the chests to Heidmarch and hurry to the auction..it would be a shame to miss it..we can always just smash the chest like Philonues suggests once we bring it back..but I don't think we should miss the auction
GM Dennis
|
To be clear on the timing: 'Fifteen minutes' in this case translates to a couple days. We need to have things wrapped up by Thursday morning Australia time, which corresponds to about mid-day Wednesday US Pacific time.
GM Dennis
|
There are varying degrees of success in all of these missions, earning you different amounts of "Key Points" that are tracked across tables. You can bring them back as-is, though you may get more key points if you open them up.
Roven Bluntaxe
|
Roven shoves his shield in from of the hole in the trapped chest that was pointed out.
"Let's give this a go, then."
He gets out his pick and wedges it behind the lock on the chest.
Strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
GM Dennis
|
After a moment of straining, Roven is able to pop the lock off the chest. A dull thud indicates the trap harmlessly pricking his shield, and then the chest opens to reveal 3000gp. When the procedure is repeated on the first chest (minus the trap), you find another 1000gp.
Mission accomplished.
GM Dennis
|
We've been asked to wrap things up, and I don't think we have time to get through another mission, so we'll just hang out until the auction starts. Feel free to RP a bit as you wait, if you'd like.
| Mr Tiggles |
Mr. Tiggles slowly returns to the group. He keeps his head down and refuses to look his master in the eye, though he does keep near to him.
Philoneus Tippertille
|
Philoneus eyes Mr. Tiggles critically before sighing. "You weren't the only one that ran, I'm sure you were just trying to keep the others safe," Philoneus said with a sniff even though Mr. Tiggles couldn't understand him and he didn't believe his own words.
Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a piece of meat and held it out for Mr. Tiggles.
| Mr Tiggles |
The velociraptor hesitated as his master spoke, and when offered food gladly moved to rub his body against Philoneus'. He took the meat and gulped it down as fast as he could before starting to preen his master's beard as if they were feathers.

Thran looks at his glowing hand and then at the others
"..is anyone of you hurt?"
I think I still have a held charge of cure light wound, so if anyone needs some healing let me know
