I will be taking a short trip out of town for the next two days, so I will most likely be moving us along in the story on Monday evening or shortly thereafter. Until then, please continue to RP, but don't expect too much from Chef Sali or Lord Schmultzfeather (or me).

(Fortunately, I was able to bring us to an RP-friendly spot this time, so have at it! :)

Crafter's fortune. I forgot, now I'm sad, I would have had the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything, had I just remembered.

The fact that this was possible for a L1 character ... disturbs me.

I'm surprised no one's commented on the fact that Tessara does her best baking when she's on drugs...

Phillip needs to take more it seems.

How much were our wages? Just curious, in case I need to buy something.

FYI I may be offline for a couple days, and also have a bit of a busy weekend. Will check in when I can, but may be sporadic.

For a 1st level, non adventuring character, 100 gp is redonculous, but, we ARE amazing chefs. I feel less bad about winning the weekly, now that I know it's just 20gp.

Firedove, I am thinking of a formula that provides a bonus to Craft skill for the sole purpose of cooking. 'Gourmand's Sense' sounds good. The tongue becomes more attuned to taste and eyes and fingers can guage quality better.

New challenge... challenges, actually ... up in Gameplay! :)

Phillip, that sounds cool. Would that be something you would want to learn when you guys eventually level up, or would that be something you would hopefully be spending your wages on to purchase and learn now? How much would the bonus be? How much would it cost? Make me a proposal that seems fair to you.

I don't know the cost right now, but I will be spending wages and learning. Since it only effects Craft-Chef skill I believe it would offer more than Crafter's Fortune. No stacking, just replace the usual bonus.

I'm sorry for being so stupid, Firedove. I swear I did read the original posts, several times, and just didn't see some of the details for reasons I can't explain. I guess I was just having trouble taking it all in. I'm sure it's very frustrating for you to have to repeat yourself, and I'm sorry to do that to you.

Bahram PMed me that he won't be able to post much, if at all, this week, so feel free to make some assumptions about what he's doing, and try to include some cheesy aspect of at least one of the courses of each of the two meals you plan.
When I call for the craft checks next week, he can roll it if he's back, or I can roll it for him.
Assume he's helping with whatever ideas the three of you come up with.

The pie IS delicious. We got one from that place once. Amazing! I couldn't find images of what it looks like inside, but, image a Napoleon of the standard variety, and add apple pie to it.

Fish? Is Corn on the Cob? Wha? As a side dish? (I'll admit to being exhausted about to go /passout, but ... I can not English that.)

A boating trip that goes awry! It was supposed to be a nice vacation, a three hour tour...

One of our exotic dishes accidently mimics a dark ritual that tears a hole in the fabric of existence. The writhing tentacled horrors that spill forth threaten to steep the city in madness, agony and death unless our stalwart chefs can cook-up a counterspell...

Anyway. Spent the last day thinking I'd made my perfect 20 Profession check. Some of the others were kind of lame, but had a great story post.

Anyway, posted rolls. Story later.

EDIT: Well, my rolls seem to have stayed the exact same (the bottom four are all shifted around, as I had my calligraphy above the other three in my previous, now-lost post.

Still going to post story elements later.

The gist: he's in everyone's business, constantly trying to help out their crafts and professionalism, and generally meddling all over the place. He's a bit colder than his normal mein and kind of feverishly focused on his work and professionalism.

To clarify:
Ashley thought he posted in gameplay yesterday. I said it wasn't there.
It probably got previewed but never submitted.
He got frustrated and posted angry faces in discussion.
Then he reposted in gameplay.
Interestingly enough, the perfect 20 he was upset about losing for his Profession check reappeared.
My suspicion is that since the rolls never posted yesterday, they got reused today.
Anyway, he's not reposting the fluff part of his post that got lost now. Maybe later.

You may all resume with the previously scheduled paranoid speculation. Carry on. ;)

The board shut down last night seems to have messed things up.
