Oishi sits down at his table, opening a nice bottle of Chianti he aquired from the Wine Cellar. It would go fabulous with the Fava Beans and the Fresh Liver he....aquired...on the market.
If only some bard were around to play a violin.
That Philip seemed a decent fellow. I should invite him to join me for dinner on one of his free days...
His room was modest, but he still felt as if he was dining o...with high society in this tower.

"Of course, the soup or drink portions of a course may be poured into a small bowl or cup placed on the plate ... but the expectation is that they will be served on the plate."
Wow. I really misunderstood this line.
Hm.

Ashley Kusuma Na-ti |

Okay, after thinking about it, I'd like to revise my intent (after clarification with the GM).
I'd like to place everything in a shallow bowl like this on the plate. In this way, it can both be dipped more easily or drunk from the dish more easily, as preferred by the couple.
Thank you, GM.

Also, I noticed the new tag line you've put on the game under the campaigns tab.... CRE-epy.....

Dinte's right. It's been there quite a while now.
I was wondering when someone would mention it. :)
ò.O
Update coming tonight or tomorrow, most likely...
Exciting!

I didn't mention it....I just applied it ^_^
Originally not the direction I wanted to take with Oishi-but hej, that was inspiring.

Totally shows how much I'm overworked and underpaid right now. I thought that had been there for weeks....
I'm also reminded that I still lack a weapon and armor....
Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be a disaster!
It's been there for awhile... I just kept forgetting to comment on it. I'm pretty sure it was not there from the get-go though....

You are correct. ;)

It was not! The recruitment schpiel was!
I distinctly recall the GM (in person) mentioning she should change it, but when I checked a couple times after that, she had not. Hmmmmmm... SUSPICIOUS!

So? How does the crowd react to Tessara's collapse?
Ah!
The crowd, of course:
... working late.
... nursing baby.
... falling asleep while trying to make an update.
... looking really cute while doing so.

Hi, guys. Sorry for the momentum lag. I'm a teacher heading into the last two weeks of the school year, fighting a cold, nursing an infant, and working my way through a mountain of research paper drafts to give 80 students helpful feedback in time for final submissions. Plus, there are evening award ceremonies, baccalaureate, graduation, and we're going out of town for a big family celebration/reunion this weekend (with our infant and pre-schooler).
In other words, it might be two weeks before I manage to find the time and energy to properly sum up this cooking game challenge and move us along to the next one.
I'm really looking forward to it...I'm just not there yet.
In two weeks I should have SO much more time and brain space!
Please hang in there with me. Thanks. :)

Hey, Firedove, could we perhaps say we carry Tessara back into the kitchen and regroup, so we can RP with each other while you're gone? I understand the busy-ness of the time of year --- work at a university, and my parents were public school teachers --- but if we can sit in a more "comfortable" position as it were it puts less pressure on you and we can find something to do so we don't lose our muses.

Just in case posting happens soon, I wanted everyone to know that I am going to be on a camping trip this weekend, and will have no internet access.
If I can get a signal, I will try to keep up on my phone, but if you hear nothing from me until Monday or Tuesday, I don't want y'all to mistakenly believe I have dropped from the game.

"Young Lady, I believe everybody that was not....consumed by their passion, is still around."
Really though, if GM has a hard time right now, nobody stands to gain from forced posts. Just imagine Firedove is on a 2-week vacation, as she pretty much announced that time frame.
Looking forward to reading more from you guys next week :)

"Your math is as accurate as your ice cream is tasty, and I share your hope. I just hope all the cooks will still be here."
Seriously, I've not been with pbp long, but I've seen games drop dead due to GM disappearing. Most of those either pulled a no-show, or just up and went missing.
In this case, she gave advance notice, had a very stressful time and a toddler, and probably some work getting new stuff together. So long story short, I'm quite willing to believe that Firedove is actually coming back to this, and looking forward to all your future shenanigans.

Hi! Two weeks, as promised, and I'm back on the boards! It's been a crazy two weeks, but the family is more-or-less healthy, grades are in, and tomorrow is my last day at the school to wrap things up before break. I hope to be continuing our story tomorrow, and I hope you'll all be rejoining the journey. Thanks for hanging in there with me! :)

Also to add--Firedove did give us a heads up which is much appreciated. The issue I have is when GMs just disappear without warning, but that's NOT what happened here.
As a friendly request, I would suggest that if Firedove anticipates an absence due to schoolwork/inservice/kids to not leave us in a position where we may need GM feedback but are free to RP with each other. For example, say if we're in the middle of combat when she knows she needs a break, to auto-end the combat so we aren't waiting for the monster to act, etc. :)

Game post is up! I will be aiming for at least one post each day for the next while, though I fully understand if not everyone can do that.
As for leaving you in a more RP-friendly spot when I need to take a break from the game, I understand the request and will definitely try! This past time was just a case of too much crazy life coming on too quickly, and I didn't want to entirely skip over the opening night crowd's reaction to your banquet or the introduction of Lord Schmultzfeather as an NPC.
Game on! :)
