"Auron, scratch the healing, if you can get me next to that Gnome f+*#er I'll end this right now!"
Erd
Erd eyes the dinosaur and bellows, "You are worthy!" She flicks her hand to Bili, who thunders forward at an alarming rate, and swings herself up into the saddle. The two charge at the tyrannosaurus.
What I want to do here is have Bili use her action to charge and attempt Greater Overrun as part of the charge, allowing her to make a trample attack and causing the T-Rex to provoke an AOO if it falls prone. Erd would like to use her action to swiftly mount as Bili moves past, then make an attack using Ride-By Attack, and finally make an attack of opportunity if the T-Rex falls prone.
Erd's longsword (charge, haste, challenge, strength damage): 1d20 + 23 + 2 + 1 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 23 + 2 + 1 + 3 - 2 = 34 Damage (challenge, strength damage): 6d6 + 60 + 39 - 6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4, 1, 4, 4) + 60 + 39 - 6 = 113
Bili's overrun check (Improved Overrun, Greater Overrun, haste, charge?, banner): 1d20 + 19 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 19 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 1 = 39
Bili's trample if t-rex falls prone (haste, banner, prone target): 1d20 + 13 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 13 + 1 + 4 = 28 Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Bili's AOO if t-rex falls prone (haste, prone target): 1d20 + 13 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 13 + 1 + 4 = 21 Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 Don't think you get charge bonuses on attacks not directly made as part of the charge.
Erd's AOO if t-rex falls prone (haste, challenge, prone target, strength damage): 1d20 + 23 + 1 + 3 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 23 + 1 + 3 + 4 - 2 = 45 Damage (challenge, strength damage): 6d6 + 60 + 39 - 6 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 6, 3, 4) + 60 + 39 - 6 = 114 Erd's mount is still charging, though, so she should get the damage multiplication.
Bili's actions: Charge to overrun (full-round action).
Erd's actions: Challenge (swift action), fast mount (free action), and charge (full-round action).
Bili's AC is 29/26/9 until her next turn (+4 dodge vs. AOOs due to movement). Erd's AC is 30/24/13 until her next turn (+4 dodge vs. AOOs due to movement, +4 dodge vs. attacks set against a charge, -2 vs. everything but T-Rex). The T-Rex gets no AOOs against Bili or Erd, thanks to Ride-By Attack.
DM.
The problem is that to chare using Ride by attack you and your mount need to use your full round action. Althought, you do 114 damage and Sun have an AoO. If sun do 40 damage (he only need to not roll a 1 in his attacK) the T-rex is dead.
EDIT: Remeber that the Daemon did to you 5 point of str damage, is tha thte -2 to attack -6 to dmg on your rolls?
Erd
Yeah, it's easier than recalculating my bonus.
Auron Luckstride
Quick question: Can I reach Sun Xiao without provoking AoO from the T-Rex or anything else?
Auron Luckstride
"Here's some mending, Sun."
Standard Action: cast heal and hold the charge
Swift Action: cast Grace. I can move without provoking AoO
Move Action: move up to Sun Xiao (speed = 30ft. (base) + 10 (Travel domain) + 10 (Longstrider spell) + 30 (Haste) = 80ft. I only need to move 75ft.[/ooc]
Free Action: touch Sun Xiao, healing him for 130hp and removing whatever condition he has, if any.
Erd
Garren cast invisibility purge I think.
Auron Luckstride
Garren cast invisibility purge I think.
That's right! He did! In that case, I wanna change my actions, then.
Swift Action: cast Grace. I can move without provoking AoO
Move action to walk up to Sun Xiao (speed = 30ft. (base) + 10 (Travel domain) + 10 (Longstrider spell) + 30 (Haste) = 80ft. I only need to move 75ft.
Move action to teleport Auron and Sun Xiao 30ft. With Sun Xiao appearing in front of Auron, therefore, adjacent to the Gnome who is 40ft away.
Garren Emeraldeyes
Garren disregards the Air Elemental and simply keeps moving for the Gnome, flickering out of sight after a step. Once he reaches the Gnome, he readies himself to move along with him in case he moves, intending to disrupt any sorceries he attempts to cast.
Garren Round 4: Move action moves 35ft or less if it's not necessary to reach the Gnome while taking 10 on his Hellcat Stealth for a 43. This movement provoked an AoO from the Air Elemental. Standard action is a readied action to move along with the gnome.
Sun Xiao
Sun grins nastily at the Gnome.
"Have you made your peace with whatever god you worship?"
Sun points his fingers together, and jabs them towards the gnome's chest, following up with a swift kick to the head, a knee to the chin, and finally another piercing attack, aimed at ripping the annoying creature's heart from its chest.
Stunning Fist/Attack 1: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (20) + 26 = 46
Confirm: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (16) + 26 = 42
Damage: 2d6 + 82 ⇒ (2, 2) + 82 = 86
Attack 2: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (3) + 26 = 29
Damage: 1d6 + 37 ⇒ (3) + 37 = 40
Attack 3: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (3) + 21 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 37 ⇒ (2) + 37 = 39
Attack 4: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 37 ⇒ (6) + 37 = 43
Auron Luckstride
You know, Rynjin... I think this forum is mixing up your d20 with your d6. :P
BTW, I think you're flanking with Garren.
DM.
Sun kill te gnome( barely by 4 hit points. Well). The Air slemental dissapear into nothingness. THe stuned Daemon recover control over his body
My contract is over, I failed. - He then break his own neck.
Time to loot!
Ring of summoning affinity (daemon)
Book of Extended Summoning (greater)
Spellguard Bracers
+5 Chainshirt with energy resistence (Fire, electricity).
Dusty rose Ioun stone.
Sun Xiao
Man, I'd totally take that chain shirt if it had Brawling instead. Into the sell pile it goes...and now to tweak Sun's build.
Sun crushes the gnome's heart just to be sure, then throws the ratty thing away, flicking the blood from his fingers absently.
Auron Luckstride
I guess I'll grab the ring of summoning and the spellguard, since I'm the only one who actually casts spells. I'm sure someone will want the chain shirt and I don't really care about the other stuff.
Garren Emeraldeyes
I'll pass on the loot. I already have the ioun stone and my greater shadow chainshirt is a bit too valuable to my build.
Auron Luckstride
Auron walks up to the girl and her companion.
"So... Wanna tell us what was that all about? If you're truthful, I might even heal you and your friend. And believe me: I'm damn good at detecting lies."
The cleric doesn't use a threatening tone, but he doesn't lower his bow either. At least, not yet.
Taking 10 on Sense Motive for a total of 34. And I use Detect Magic to check them out, because why the hell not?
Oh, BTW, we can sell the Spellguard Bracers. I'm already using that slot. :P
DM.
And I'm very good at telling lies, but there is no need to do that to the peopel that just save my life and the life of my companion...I am Sylwaris Kysrila scholar of ancient civilizations, and, if I might ask, who are you?, I have to say iwas not expecting to meet other people here - She say smiling.
By the way, I was forgetting that the Daemons have 1000 gp in gp and diamond each
Erd
I'll grab the dusty rose.
Auron Luckstride
"We will get to that part of the conversation in a moment... For now, you answer the questions." Auron's voice is calm, but his bow stays in his hand.
"Now, tell us... What brings you here? Who was that gnome? How did he find you and why were you battling each other?" Auron draws an arrow, but doesn't point his bow at the woman or her friend. At least, not yet. "I advise you to be honest and not try to hide any piece of information. We saved your life, but that doesn't mean we trust you."
Still taking 10 on Sense Motive. Total 34 unless someone is aiding me.
Anyone else want to weigh in with questions of your own?
Sun Xiao
I'll wait until she's answered Auron's question first. And using Sense Motive of my own.
Take 10 for a 36.
Garren Emeraldeyes
"Cmon mates, interrogating her after a run in with demons is likely stressful. Let's patch up the guy bleeding on the floor, have brunch and talk while we eat huh? It's not every day you can have cheese, bread and wine in an alternate dimension." Garren recommends while reminding everyone of the injured compatriot of Sylwaris.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (13) + 21 = 34
Skill Mastery: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (20) + 21 = 41
DM.
She realize her saviors are not as friendly as she hoped for.
I am in...I was in the middle of an archeological expedition[/i]- She say in a serious tone. -[b] we were betrayed, our sponsor did not have the academic motivation I thought, he is just another power hungry crazy bastard. I do not know who the gnome is, I suppose is one of his minions, set to kill us when we were no longer useful.
1d20 + 23 ⇒ (17) + 23 = 40
Sun Xiao
"He'll keep. I don't want to patch up a potential enemy. Just because those guys were attacking her, and also attacked us, doesn't make her our friend."
"So, the faster she talks, the faster we can patch her friend up."
Garren Emeraldeyes
Garren casually throws his hands up.
"The enemy of my enemy..." He states of the mythical saying before going on.
"To be frank, considering our own run ins with demons, spotting someone else with the same trouble is...quite the coincidence is it not? Besides, we dispatched them with ease and they tore these folks up something fierce. I imagine they know well the price of betrayal, especially with such a wound so fresh." Garren deliberates.
Auron Luckstride
"I'm not patching up anyone just yet..." says Auron with a stern voice. "Where is the rest of your expedition? Who is this sponsor? What were you looking for and how did you learn of its existence?"
Someone mind searching these two for weapons and/or documents?
Auron Luckstride
Well, there are four of us vs two of them, one of which is bleeding (and maybe unconscious? I'm not sure). We just slaughtered the creatures that hurt them this bad, so I'm guessing they are not in position to make demands...
In any case, I ready an action to shoot an arrow at any of them if they try to attack us or cast a spell (or SLA).
"By the way... Do yourself a favor and drop your weapons."
Nicos
Well, there are four of us vs two of them, one of which is bleeding (and maybe unconscious? I'm not sure). We just slaughtered the creatures that hurt them this bad, so I'm guessing they are not in position to make demands...
Even if that is logic enough taht is not guarantee they will act that way. Peole are irrational after all, and all kind of unexpected stuff. NOt saying that will be the case here though
Auron Luckstride
I once literally sent a guy to the Abyss, so there is that...
"Here is what going to happen, miss Kysrila... You'll drop your weapons and answer our questions. Meanwhile, one of my friends will search your belongings. Be assured that we will not steal anything." says Auron. However, his voice becomes more serious as he speaks the following words: "Peacefully comply and no harm will come to you or your friend, it might even convince me to heal your wonds... But try anything funny and I'll put an arrow in between your eyes. And you'll also seriously piss off my friend who just punched a daemon to death."
Still keeping that readied action.
Auron Luckstride
They are true. I have no reason to lie. I trust these guys just slightly more than the guy with daemons. I don't plan to steal anything from them.
"...And a gnome."
Garren Emeraldeyes
"Well! Our resident wise-men have spoken!" Garren says with a clap.
"So sir if I could have you place your belongings here." Garren gestures to an empty space.
"And Mam I'm afraid I'll need to do a full cavity search. I've never gotten over the last girl who tried to stab me with a poisoned wushu dart she hid in her knickers." He says very matter of factually with an incredible poker face.
"Feel free to watch me as I look, Thieves' honor, I promise not to take anything." Garren crosses his left hand fingers and holds his other hand over his heart.
DM.
The woman let her rapier fall, and the other guy is weak enough to not even actually hold his longsword.
Well, you take their weapons, their back up weapons and their back up for their back up weapons. They have other magic items, but they are miscellaneous.
The woman seems to be worried about something in her bag however. When you open the bag you can find her notes, maps, a couple of books and a tablet with Inmaskari writing in it.
