Erd has thin black hair, bloodshot black eyes, and pale, freckled skin. She towers above the rest of her kind at eleven feet, four inches, and weighs 1520 pounds.
Her homeland is a small village in Vaasa, not all that far from Palischuk. Erd's godparents were dwarves who taught her honor and respect for legitimate power, while her mostly absentee parents (a human and a half-orc) taught her how to catch and train the shaggy wild horses that roam the tundra. Erd was not the quickest learner, but she was compelled to persevere by the sense that some great destiny awaited her.
She left home soon after her 19th birthday, then joined an adventuring party not long before her 20th. When the group dissolved, she traveled to the Hordelands, where she spent five years among the nomads, learning their skills.
Upon returning to Vaasa, on the way to her home village, she saw a distant white shape on the moors. It was her destiny - a blessing from the gods. The horse fled, but she would not be fatigued, and though it took a day and a night she would eventually capture it. She and the creature trained together for a month, living off the land and slaying bands of monstrous creatures. When it was tame, she brought it to her home village, where the priest of Moradin blessed her with gigantic form and presented her with a letter detailing the death of a close acquaintance. Dark forces were stirring, the priest said, and her old band had reformed to stop them.
