I'm now teaching nights for the next five weeks, so posts will tend to be in the middle of the day or else late at night if it doesn't take a lot of time to compose.

Clebsch RoW |

The last two days, my main window of posting time has been filled with unexpected meetings, and time I've been getting home, I'm too tuckered out (not to mentioned disgusted by the news this week) that I've not had the gumption to post. Tomorrow might not be much better until evening, unless I can put something up via iPad.

Domitian Olavsgaard |

I apologize for the short notice, but I have a really crazy week of work that is happening. Please bot me. I'll be back next Wednesday.

Clebsch RoW |

Understood, and thanks for the update. I meant to get an update last night before last and then I noticed an issue that would take some time to check and it was late and I was out of energy. Yesterday got busy earlier than expected and so I'm going to try to get something up this morning if I can do so working from my iPad. I have some extra work duties in the early afternoon right now, so I have less time to post unless I get to work really early.
In other news, Hurricane Michael remnants will be passing close enough to give us some bad weather tonight, so power outages are possible. I'll post when I can as soon as possible. If anyone else is in the path, stay safe and let us know how you are doing as you can.

Clebsch RoW |

I got to work early, but discovered I have a meeting to attend this afternoon, so I may not get to post until tonight or later if there are power outages. Sorry for the delay.

Clebsch RoW |

It's been two weeks since Khristov last posted. I looked at the player's other aliases and there have been no posts for the past week, so I suspect the player is experiencing things in RL that are interfering with posting. I'll 'bot Khristov until the player returns.
Hope all is well.

Clebsch RoW |

Sorry for the delay in posting. Some RL issues caused me to miss a lot of sleep Sunday to Monday and I'm just getting back on schedule. I hope to get posts up this afternoon.

Rurik Voralius |

Note that the following morning I've prepared two Diagnose Disease spells for the two people that we know are infected, as well as two Lesser Restorations to restore ability damage.

Ingrit |

I'm good to go. Wouldn't mind the Guidance potion. The Shield of Faith is better suited to our melee people.

Domitian Olavsgaard |

Take the Guidance. I can take one of the Shield of Faith.

Domitian Olavsgaard |

I updated the loot table with the following:
Mwk Crossbow - Rurik
Flame Arrow - Damiano
Guidance potion - Ingrit
Shield of Faith potion - Dom
There's still another Shield of Faith but maybe I just take that too?
Also, a masterwork dagger, not sure if that benefits anyone.
Separately, I'm heading on vacation to South America starting Wednesday for a week and a half. I expect I can still post on occasion but it's at least possible I'll miss some time. Feel free to bot me as needed.

Rurik Voralius |

DM, does the disease still inflict ability score damage, or is that gone with the new system? If it's gone I would've prepared delay disease instead of lesser restoration.

Clebsch RoW |

The Optional Rules stipulate that the system replaces the listed effects such as ability damage and drain.

Domitian Olavsgaard |

Fell ill during international travels, I'll be fine, but please bot me for now.

Ingrit |

Sorry, traveling sick sucks

Domitian Olavsgaard |

Is anyone motivated to take the random stuff in our loot table and try to sell it for gold? We're not actually as poor as it seems, but there's just a big communal pool of loot at the moment that's not individualized. (That's where I theoretically took our 500gp payment from.) Things in my life are a bit too busy for me to handle this myself at the moment.

Ingrit |

I can probably do it in a day or so.

Ingrit |

Those bracers are beautiful, but no chance we can afford anything like that.

Ingrit |

For those whose normal attacks/spells won't work, now is the time to unload some of our equipment. The Robe of useful items has alchemist's fire, a portable hole and wardogs, if you have a crossbow or even just simple weapon proficiency we have a few masterwork crossbows and a ton of bolts.

Clebsch RoW |

DC 25 Spellcraft: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15
This is relating to the magic ring found at Nazhena's tower. Several spellcasters in town attempt to identify it but cannot. It has a moderate aura of necromantic magic.
I'm working on the loot table. I'm identifying the sale value of each item, which, except for trade goods and coins, is 1/2 the price of the new item.
You might want to look down the list and extract some items that would be useful in combat. There is a wand of color spray, an icicle wand, liquid ice, alchemist's fire, some cure wounds potions and scrolls. There was a scroll of remove disease, which might have been used on Khristov.

Clebsch RoW |

If you sold everything not so far claimed, the value would be 29,588, which divides to 4932 per person (including Khristov). But some items are too much for shops in Ellsprin to purchase, so if these are excluded, the value of items sold in the village would be 14,495, which is 2116 divided 6 ways.
If you want to include Nadya in the split, that is up to you. The values are totaled at the bottom of the spreadsheet. If you take something out of the sale list, delete the amount in the "Sale Value" column and place the name of the PC keeping the item. The totals will adjust after you make edits like this.
If you wanted to purchase one of the items in the shops listed in the Gameplay thread, you could trade items for their "sale value" which would increase the amount you have to spend.

Erland Frey |

Erland will take the icicle wand and several of the scrolls.
CMW, comprehend languages, dispel magic, remove disease, and remove sickness. I can add those to Fiske's knowledge and have them to prepare later on.

Domitian Olavsgaard |

Clebsch, thank you so much for taking on that loot sheet!
I modified the loot spreadsheet for Erland to take his loot.
I also claimed the following (but will share if others want some):
Potion of Cure Light Wounds x2
Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds x2
Potion of Enlarge Person x2
Potion of Shield of Faith x2
Flask of Alchemist's Fire x2
Tanglefoot Bag x2
Also, I previously received everyone's wealth to buy the Belt of Constitution that Khristov is now wearing. So I consider my share of the wealth available to others to buy something nice.

Ingrit |

Not really much of anything I can use.

Ingrit |

It is automatic. Their slow movement is the only reason we weren't wrecked. In a troop, concentration to cast AoA to use a ranged weapon. If we didn't fight smart they could easily have killed us. We also had area damage increase working in our favor

Clebsch RoW |

Clebsh did you decide to go soft on us there ?
According to the link you directed us to , damage from troops is automatic . And I can't help thinking you rolled low on the 3d6 ...
I rolled the damage individually for each affected PC. I'm not sure if that's standard or not, but I worry that a single bad roll could be harsh on the group. The results averaged out to 10.2 which is very close to the average for 3d6. Rurik was hit with 17, Fisk with 4.

Clebsch RoW |

This week I've had some holiday related events and errands to complete plus grading. I'll be on vacation until after New Year's Day, so it should be better.

Domitian Olavsgaard |

My posting might slow down over the holidays, but looking forward to picking up again at the new year!

Clebsch RoW |

Sorry to take so long to get back to the game. I've been meaning to these past few days, but never could get a decent patch of time to focus while I've had access to my computer. Should be better from now on.
Hope everyone is having a merry Christmas (or at least a welcome day off to celebrate, the solstice or the winter holiday of your choice).

Domitian Olavsgaard |

Belated Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Domitian Olavsgaard |

Regarding Rurik breaking Erland out of ice, I thought the ice has 10 HP, and Rurik has done 6+5=11 damage?

Domitian Olavsgaard |

Proposed marching order: Dom, Ingrit, Rurik, Erland, Damiano.
Rurik and Damiano have Light spells we can stick at the front and back. And Erland has Dancing Lights.
Everyone's staying vigilant while walking, with the casters keeping an eye on magic auras. Perhaps as a practical matter that means Dom and Ingrit in front checking for traps and hazards?
We'll have to discuss if there exists a door, but that doesn't seem to fit this dungeon.
Feel free to discuss or disagree.

Ingrit |

The door (and first trap) was the ooze across the entrance.

Clebsch RoW |

Sorry for the delay. I had busy work to do at the office yesterday and come evening when I was planning to post, we lost our home Internet. I'll be teaching in the evening the next five weeks, so my posts will generally come in the AM or early afternoon on M-Th. I'll have something up soon.

Domitian Olavsgaard |

Realized with the retcon that Dom recovers his missing Panache by bringing the thing unconscious.
And totally understand regarding work!

Domitian Olavsgaard |

Hey Ingrit, just letting you know it's your turn.

Ingrit |

Sorry guess I missed something.

Clebsch RoW |

Sorry for the delay but I'm still recovering from a cold and was grateful for a day when I could sleep and sleep.

Ingrit |

Good. Glad you're recovering.

Clebsch RoW |

So I should be back to normal posting this coming week. Sorry again for the delay, but working with a cold took a lot out of me and I ended up sleeping a lot or doing relatively low challenge things like playing solitaire or watching TV. Thanks for your patience. Hope no one was hit too hard by the cold snap.
