Anybody wants to give a hand?
BT, can I take 20 for this? If so, it's 24

Yes, you can, but it will take a while and may be noisy.

Maybe Selina has the hands of the divine..
*watches as the metal doors starts to give*

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

The door radiates strong abjuration magic and won't budge at all.

Meh..lets turn back..try other places instead..how about the turning on the left near the entrance?

Lead the way!Kwin will stay to the back of the group, watching more closely behind them than in front of them.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

Returning to the entrance and trying the left-hand set of stairs you find yourselves in a long corridor running north and south, the walls adorned with painted frescoes of humans riding, running along with, or chasing horses. A few ride winged horses high in the sky. A skeletal corpse lies near the bottom of the stairs.

Opposite you there is a narrow diagonal passage towards the left, and there is a corridor sloping downwards further on your left, and a door at the end of the hall.

Perception 15:

Spoiler:
You hear a low growl coming from the south, sounding like some kind of big cat.

Upon seeing the corpse and once within 60' range, Selina stops the party. She detects evil as a move action within 60', specifically on the corpse to determine if it radiates evil, as an undead would certainly do.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

The corpse is just at the feet of the stairs. It doesn't radiate evil, nor does anything else in the room.

So where do you want to go? Do you need a map?

Female Elf Clerc 2

Kaduk , can you go check discreetly ?

Sure, let me get set up stealthy like.

Approaches the south with the growling sounds.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

Kaduk sneaks south and looks down the narrow corridor. In the dimly lit room some 30 feet down a feline predator snarls at you (a lioness to be specific), and you can see that she protects a mewling litter of cubs.

If Kaduk is alone, he backtracks a bit and informs his findings. He thinks its cruel to deprive the cubs of their mother by killing it.

I've always wanted a pet lion!

Female Elf Clerc 2

"Oh good ! Now we know what to do with the humanoids we will kill. Nothing on the corpse then ? "

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

Kaduk sneaks back and reports. The corpse has been picked clean of both flesh and equipment.

You may brave the lion and try the exit opposite the one leading to the den, or you may want to examine the frescoes further. Or you could backtrack and try another way.

There's always the northern route through the hall, we haven't been there yet.

As long as the others don't mind, Kwin will take a little time examining the frescos.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

If you're not worried about the lioness, make a Perception check.

Marius mutters something about "Why did it have to be lions?" and storms out. Valynie notices something interesting about the paintings:
At the horses' legs at one point form letters and spell out words in Elvish. The message is: "The gray lies between the black and the white. The shadow lies between the dark and the light."

Where do you want to go next?

Female Elf Clerc 2

Lookin at Marcus departure , Valynie shrugs And humans call us flighty. Ah well , he won't have the hero's reward."

"Ok we have two choices , either we attack the temple but with one day of waiting for us , I'm a little afraid they will be ready for us or we try the eastern stairs . I guess you know what I prefer .."

I would like to see what's beyond the eastern stairs myself. We already knows what's in the temple...

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

Not quite sure what stairs you are referring to. Here is a new map. Hope it makes things clearer. There are still a few ways to go.

the stairs on our left when we enter the dungeon

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

That's the room you're currently in, the long rectangular room to the left of the stairs. Unless you mean the stairs the hobgoblin ran up.

Female Elf Clerc 2

Ok I see the mistake we made . Last left we were speaking of was the left passage in the pool room but we were not clear enough. Let's head there now

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

Oh, I see. That makes sense.

Returning to the pool room and exploring the left-hand passage, you find two doors on the left side.

Kwin makes eye contact with Kaduk. He quietly says You seem to have a deft touch and keen ear. Which door do you think we should try?

I'd say its always right if we take right.
Take 10 perception = 14.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

Both doors are locked and there is no obvious trap or anything. Nor are there any other visible exits from the corridor.
