Gather Information:
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
wow...seriously...5 rolls and nothing above a 7....pathetic.
Kheldor
I was thinking it would affect anything thing that depends on your class level to determine its benefit. For me specifcally, it would affect Judgement strength, duration of the Night Subdomain power and the bonus I get from Skilled Liar(Spy archetype). Maybe one or two other features, but those are the most important. In fact the Judgement increase is just an extra perk that I thought would fit the concept of the feat.
Also, name of the feat would be Shadow Hunter, as Night Hunter is the name of Night Subdomain power.
Five rolls enough or should I make more, as this is my speciality.
GM Gangsta Kingpin
Five is enough. We'll say you've all been anticipating the meeting for a few days, and looking for good info for some capers that will a) get you some starting cash for your organization, and b) get you some street cred.
I'll think about your suggestion.
"Quill"
Gather Info:
Know. Local -> 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Know. Local -> 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Know. Local -> 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Know. Local -> 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Know. Local -> 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Quill tries to follow up a few new leads unsuccessfully, but in the end goes back to old reliable habits that prove fruitful.
GM Gangsta Kingpin
Oh gm I still dont know what you mean by replacing one of my feats do you mean replacing one of my spells and taking scorching ray? cause I cant until getting 2nd level spells.
No, I meant replacing one of your current feats with S. M.
GM Gangsta Kingpin
Got it Guess I was more paying attention to the Arcane Trickster and you said it was changed from the original?
Anyways took off point blank shot and put on Street Mage
Yeah. Your bloodline stuff continues with your caster class, and a few other perks I added. It's in this thread, somewhere.
"Quill"
It's why I threw up some Knowledge Local rolls. I thought Gather Info got rolled into that, but I see now its Diplomacy. Quill doesn't do diplomacy, she bluffs. But that will be important for her so I will need to nudge some skill points about to get her diplomacy up.
GM Gangsta Kingpin
Looks like Kheldor has a handle on that skill. LOL! There are 6 of you, so not everybody has to be great at everything.

Gather Information 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23 +1 if talking to a male.
Gather Information 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21 +1 if talking to a male.
Gather Information 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 +1 if talking to a male.
Gather Information 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19 +1 if talking to a male.
Gather Information 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19 +1 if talking to a male.
Pretty mediocre rolls ;/ but this, and Bluffing, is also my specialty, haha.
Also, I'm officially leaving this afternoon for my trip, so I will probably have super spotty internet access until the 3rd or 4th, maybe none at all. Have a good New Year, I'm excited to get this game up and running next week!
GM Gangsta Kingpin
Looks like we'll have some ideas on things to do. Any input on organization? Equal votes? A nominal leader? What say ye, Ravens o' the Night?
Kheldor
Just ordered Guide to Absalom, should arrive by mid nxt week I'm hoping. Until it does, I am going to hold off on Kheldor's history.
As far as organization, I say equal votes with one us getting two, in order to break ties. I say either myself or Sidoze should have that.
Now this person does not get any extra benefits at all. He or she just counts twice for voting. Of course I don't see having to vote all the time either, just when its important.
I'll come back with some other ideas later, need to actually go do some work now.
Sidoze
I dont see the need to mention how they wouldn't get extra benefits I tried telling everyone I didn't ever want special treatment I just made the character to be a gang leader (face). And as a reminder the gm was fine with it. I wrote the charter in character instead of ooc because that way we could all get more ic.
I just find it frustrating that when we first set out and made our characters everyone had their own characters in mind and what they would do. Quill the contacts and accounting. Andrezi the assassin, Grigori the bruiser and Kheldor the thief. So I know gang organization always has a leader so I made the character's persona with that in mind. Then Jinchi had to leave and this other person comes in, after saying they would make a different character because we already had a sorc/leader type, and then just tells me under no circumstance would her character listen to Sidoze. So I have to ask IC why would she join the gang at all? If we are saying Grigori, Sidoze, and Andrezi all knew each other from orphans running out on the street they all would know Sidoze plans on running the gangs. And they seemed fine with it. I just feel frustrated cause I like the character I made and now just seems like im just pissing off two characters that go out of their way not to give and take a little. We need a decision on whether or not to proceed with how we originally planned this campaign or do we have to start from square one again because of a replacement character coming in and starting up an argument of leadership. And I feel that this decision needed to come from you instead of me arguing all about this and pissing someone else off.
Kheldor
Uh, Sidoze, that was a general comment, not directed at anybody. The reason I said that was to make sure none of the other players felt that whoever got the two votes got any other benefits.
I'm not sure why you think that was some sort of attack on you. Hells to be honest, since I threw my name as a possible canidate to have the double vote, I wanted to make sure none of my fellow players thought I was tryin to grab extra power.
Kheldor
Hey Juno,
I read over your profile last nigt and I was thinking of tying our characters together somehow, especially since we compliment each other so well.
Not sure what sort of relationship ya want us to have, but I could see anything from my seeing you as a little sister to being best friends or anything else.
Also,
Gangsta, do you have an email I can reach you at? Got some ideas I wanna run by you.
Kheldor
Hey thanks I had no idea, I mean its not like its my character or anything. Nor did I just say a few posts ago that I was awaiting Guide to Absalom to do my history. Its a good thing we have you as our leader.....or have you suddendly become the GM?
Oh wait, we don't and your not. I've been hella busy between work and spending time with my younger brother whose home from college for the holidays. I have plenty of time to finish my PC. Unless there's some special deadline I missed beyond the start of the game next week.
Sidoze
Huh what? Sorry I didnt see your post about the guide I didnt mean for the post to insinuate anything. I just thought that the gm had wanted us to have complete profiles and just thought id mention it incase you were busy or something and forgot.
Honestly I wasnt harping or nothing and I dont appreciate you assuming im trying to be Gm I had meant to put a lol or something behind the the rest of my above post to put it in a joking manner but seems like something is bugging you so wouldn't matter if I had.
If you would like to discuss something Id be happy to once you have calmed down and stop throwing out accusations.
Kheldor
Let's go over the course of events for today:
1) GM makes a post about how we decide stuff, givin a few examples.
2) I reply with the voting idea, along with the concept of one member counting as two. This was to break ties as there are 6 of us. I suggest Sidoze or Kheldor as likely to be the double vote member. I also include a comment about this member not gettin any extra or special treatment. It was said in a totally general manner, because while I made suggestions, the party could go against them if they so desire.
3) You then make a post wherein it sounds like I was talking about you getting special treatment, somehow assuming I was talking about you. Your tone is entirely defensive. You also include a spoiler for the GM. Why do I get the feeling I will not like what lies within??
4) In an effort to keep the peace, I explain my above post regarding the member who gets two votes, saying that I didn't want any other player to think I was grabbing power. Twas more about me than anybody else, even though I wrote it generally.
While I mention you by name, it was done so you did not think I was somehow attacking you in my prior post
5) Instead of replying at all to what I said, you make what to me seems like an incredibly snarky comment, especially considering the falsehood of it. There is a fair amount of my profile, save for a few things, like feats and attack. There was utterly no need for you to make said comment, as the GM is very active on this thread, and could easily ask me to finish it.
6) I then respond, in a not so nice manner, due to what I saw as your rude, snarky and pointless comment.
7) You defend yourself, though you state I need to calm down. Not sure why, as I never got worked up.
Which brings us to here. I have no idea why you seem to think we're all against you. It almost seems like your paranoid.
Andrezi Zeldana
Looks like we'll have some ideas on things to do. Any input on organization? Equal votes? A nominal leader? What say ye, Ravens o' the Night?
While equal votes would be ideal, the likely-hood of a tie causes a problem. I agree with the concept of having one of us (and I really don't care who, though Andrezi would be a poor choice due to his own self-serving hedonistic tendencies) be a "first among equals" who's vote counts as double for the purposes of breaking ties only. If the leader issue is truly that contentious, perhaps we could have a system where each one of us is the "first among equals" for a given time period (say two months), and then it moves to the next.
I throw that caveat in there because we could find ourselves in a situation where all are not present for a vote. (One of us could be jailed or otherwise unavailable) or the vote could have more options than just yea or nay.
The gang may not always stay this way, I have found that once a game is a living a breathing thing, the roleplaying tends to dictate leaders and follows...it could very well be the same way here.
GM Gangsta Kingpin
True, the games I'm in now don't have a leader, per se. We can worry about that if it comes up. You may decide to be a gang unto yourselves, since follower types tend to be weak and as shady as you are. LOL
Sidoze
I am not trying to argue with you Kheldor
2) You are correct I was out of line to bring that up
3) I was again trying to emphasize that I am not looking for any which a while back you asked in a rude manner if I thought I was better than all of you. On the second point what I have to say to the Gm is my buisness and with my lack of ability to contact the gm through email I am only able to place my words in a spoiler to him.
4)I didnt argue with that post I understood it and didnt feel the need to post it as I thought it was a good idea
5) Again I say that I only meant this as a friendly reminder and was not criticism
6) Correct you did not respond in the matter thus I replied trying to mend some bridges
7) To me you were worked up and were merely snapping at me as it were to put me in my place thus the downfall of text based exchanges without knowing the feelings of the person behind it
GM Gangsta Kingpin
My email is private. I would urge all players to avoid reading spoilers not meant for them. We're all adults, as far as I know, and this is just a game.
Monkeygod
Sidzoe, here's the problem, and I've dealt with this before in a different PbP so I speak from experience. Your claiming you want to be leader, and you also want to have everybody check in with you before we do anything.
You've since said that's not really how it's going to be IC, but why write the charter that way in the first place? Couldn't you have kept it vague, or left that part out?? The GM said, in I believe the very first post of the recruitment thread, that there's a good chance the PCs will go off alone to do stuff. Should we ask Sidzoe's permission first? Cuz that's exactly how your coming off.
Now then, let me give all of you some personal background information about me that is very relevant to the game:
I am half-Italian, but since the other 50% is a mix, I take the most pride in my Italian side.
Growing up, my dad loved the Mafia, though we are not a part of it(that I know of, lol). And passed that love on to me. I've watched tons of documentaries on Organized Crime, and back in 2001, I wrote a college paper for this summer class I took about the book Merger. This book detailed how many of the major gangs allied themselves so as to be more powerful and accomplish more.(I plan to re-read this book soon, and hopefully apply some of it to this game)
In 2003, I actually took a college course on Organized Crime, which was freakin awesome.
Kheldor was originally going to be more of a thief than anything else, though his Bluff and Diplomacy was going to be pretty high, due to a feature from the Infiltrator archetype. He was also going to always have the fake identities, which I even asked Gangsta about.
However as the discussion went on, I decided to shift him to being more of an information gatherer/spy/thief.
Kheldor
Ok, on to more important game matters:
Gangsta,
I have a serious problem. I can't really find a god that grants the Darkness domain that fits for. Zon-Kuthon is way more interested in causing pain and misery while Groteous is all about the end times.
Would it be ok if I worship Nocticula? She fits more inline with not only me and my goals, but the Night Ravens in general, at least somewhat.
Also, regarding the suggestion of my feat, I wanted it to be divinely empowered, so again Nocticula works well here. Do you think you can ok it? Or do you want to work with me to make it acceptable?
Sidoze
Alriight may I ask with the large organized crime dont you think other members of the gang were usually aware of what other members were planning on doing?
What I meant by checking in was
So everyone knows its you and not a rival gang
if you need help with rival gangs or authorities we know where you are and can come help
since we are part of a gang and not just walking around by ourselves part of your money or tithe goes to the organization
That is what I meant for knowing about what your doing

That makes sense. You'll want to coordinate, and maybe split up for a lot of things.
A % should go to the "organization."
The fact remains that there's always a shot caller. Somebody should have the final word on decisions.
Kheldor
Since this is a game, with 5 other people all looking to have fun, I would suggest something that is fair for us all.
Normally, a party of PCs has a leader. Sometimes, its one specific player, such as my PC Blaze being the Corporal of the mercenary squad he's a part of.
However, there are also times when leadership gets passed around to whichever PC is best suited for a particular quest/adventure/task.
Now, you can all disagree with me, but since we're not only a party of PCs, but also leaders of what will hopefully one day be a large, powerful criminal empire, I would suggest the following:
Each of us picks one area of crime to focus on, something we feel our character excels at more than anything or anybody else. When a big job comes up, involving that crime, the PC whose specialty that is gets the final say.
Kheldor, with how I'm choosing to build and write him, would have the specialty of identity theft and gathering information. They are different to be sure, but in his case they are almost one in the same, based on how he'll accomplish the two. However, if somebody else feels gathering information is their specialty, I have no problem sticking with just ID Theft.
Kheldor
Sidzoe, your our poison and drug expert. If you so desire, I could see you becoming our mad alchemist as well.
Andrezi is our assassin/killer, and probably works closely with Sid.
Grigori is our legbreaker. Any truly physical crime is all him.
Quill I am unsure of, while Juno could be our Madame. While we agree on no prostitution, how about an eventual upscale brothel?
These are my opinions of course, just how I see things.
Sidoze
Lol im fine with drugs and poison but personally I hate alchemists bad exp with others playing them plus im more focusing on eventually manipulating the noble houses of the city later on
also Sidoze is really good at intimidation if that helps
Kheldor
Didn't mean the class, I meant cooking up all sorts of crazy concoctions.
I'll give you an awesome example:
In one of my RL games, I had a Drow Necromancer. This was back in 3.x and one of his banned schools was enchantment. So with a bunch of ranks in Craft(Alch), a really high Int(game was super epic) and a fun GM, Veldrin created Dark Elven Wine.
This powerful and potent alcoholic drink would not only get you *stupid* drunk, but also combined the effects of Confusion and Feeblemind. Plus I think one other really bad spell, lol.
THAT is the kind of awesome alchemy(though perhaps not to that crazy extent) I could see you partaking in.
Sidoze
Oh that works since I took craft alchemy already haha archtype helps to level 3 poisoner can turn diff poison intakes into others like turning an inhalent drug into a wound. Later on it lets me combine two poisons so thats always a riot to decide oh what shall we make today :)
which reminds me GM do you have any exp with the craft skill ive been reading up on it and confuses me alittle
or kheldor with your exp in the craft you know the details in pathfinder?
"Quill"
Where Gregori is the Breaker, Quill is the Entry. She can get in and open the way for others - openly through disguise and bluff and her own innocent appearance, covertly with invisibility and stealth, or violently by draining Mooks and Guards of their life force with negative energy.
Other than that, she works the books and helps identify marks and locations for robberies, extortion, or takeovers.

You just roll vs. the difficulty, or am I missing something?
That archetype could be a lot of fun. I must admit I haven't played with a lot of poisons, but I can imagine lots of cool uses for specific poisons in this setting. 2 more levels of rogue, and you can really get creative, too. Keep your alchemy maxed, and you should be able to craft whatever you can afford reliably.

To determine how much time and money it takes to
make an item, follow these steps.
1. Find the item’s price in silver pieces (1 gp = 10 sp).
2. Find the item’s DC from Table 4–4.
3. Pay 1/3 of the item’s price for the raw material cost.
4. Make an appropriate Craft check representing one
week’s worth of work. If the check succeeds, multiply
your check result by the DC. If the result × the DC
equals the price of the item in sp, then you have
completed the item. (If the result × the DC equals
double or triple the price of the item in silver pieces,
then you’ve completed the task in one-half or one-third
of the time. Other multiples of the DC reduce
the time in the same manner.) If the result × the DC
doesn’t equal the price, then it represents the progress
you’ve made this week. Record the result and make
a new Craft check for the next week. Each week, you
make more progress until your total reaches the price
of the item in silver pieces.
Just seems complicated haha
GM Gangsta Kingpin
Definitely not for the math-averse! We'll deal with it...
Your 1st meeting will occur on Oathday, 26 Rova, 4707 AR (Wed, Sep. 26).
The following Toilday (Mon, 1st Lamashan) will be the fall equinox. In Absalom, it's when they celebrate "Market's Door," a festival honoring Abadar. There is a great procession from the Coins district to the temple of Abadar in the Ascendant Court. Merchants of all stripes participate, hoping for Abadar's blessing for a prosperous year.
At the end of the line, people make a public display of tossing lots of gold and platinum into a large chest on the temple grounds, seeking Abadar's favor, and also showing off how wealthy they are. The money ends up in the church's coffers, and from there, it ends up in someone's pockets. Whose, though?
Anyone clever enough to get to that chest before the clerics empty it would have a nice sum. Enough to buy a building, perhaps...
