I hope everyone is enjoying the Holiday time of year, and maybe getting a few days off. I have been busy, weird since I am an empty-nester, seems I am more busy during this time of year than when all my children were home.

I ended one of my games in the past week, which was the first time I actually ended a game here (instead of the game ending because of lack of interest). That game started in June of 2014.

I am playing a marathon session of Time stories today, I got the three expansions for the basic game for Christmas, yay!

I hope to be updating all my games tomorrow.

I hope everyone had a great holiday season, and looking forward to another year here on the forums. I intend to struggle through some awkward posts to try and get these games moving again. Please check in so that I know you are still around.

Gah! So this is what happened. I had three different documents up and open on the computer, was trying to type up an update for this game, Woodbridge, and Strangler. I was moving from one to another, checking notes, wrote "John" at the beginning, then switched to Robert, and in the Woodbridge update (I'm not finished with it yet) I started off with Robert and switch to John

There's no need to explain your senior moments. :) You know I couldn't let it go though.

It was funny because I was reading it and wondering if a Robert character was going to meet us there :P

I'm just glad it wasn't Bud that showed up as that could have lead to a TPK him being undead and all. We could use a cook though so Gemdar wouldn't have been a bad addition. This may be a sign that I'm too many of your games though.

Hey all, with great sadness, I think I will drop from the campaign. I am struggling to find time to post and keep up and be creative. I don't want to be just an automaton sopping up XP and loot. Not that Unbolath was the lift of the party to begin with.

I can't help but picture Kleora summoning globs of acid, not really sure of what she is supposed to do with them, pitching them back and forth in her hands as she tries to keep them in some sort of "ball" and then throwing them haphazardly. As if she was shown this spell once, but really never became much of an adept in the use of the magic at play.

I'm afraid I'll be attending a funeral for the next couple of days, and as such may need to be botted. Apologies.

Ah, of course, recently there was a change to the way DropBox allowed users to share files. I am going to have to go back to all my games and update links to images I have saved to DropBox

Also, as a heads up warning. I will be travelling to Redondo beach, CA for training beginning on 3/19 and until 3/25. I expect to have little to no ability to update images (almost everything is saved to my home computer) and if I can post to games I will try, but the class I am taking is supposed to be challenging and I might be doing homework projects every night.

Now, I imagine everyone gets sick of saying, "yep, let's go," every now and then, and I know Stella is having a rough time, but if there isn't going to be any other character interaction, should I just assume someone figures out how to open the next door and then move everyone along to the next battle?

I'd like to think we can be a little more motivated.

It's not you. It's us I think. We're all moving at a snails pace and it's really dragging this out. It might be a good time to take a roll call and see who is actually still here.

Agreed with role call. I think we're down to four characters now, but I;m not sure.

The only thing I can comment on, really, is consistency. I've noticed the best Play by Posts get into a rhythm of posting, which has been hard because we've been a pretty sickly lot.

Hopefully, a couple of weeks of us all posting daily will help get that rhythm flowing again, and makes things go much more smoothly.

I am also going to be posting more regularly. They did all the tests and they believe that everything has been stress related because they can't find anything wrong.

But considering work just gave me a year notice that I will be unable to renew my contract I have lost some of that stress. So now my future plans are about me! :P

Can't stress about meeting expectations when they already told me I'll be gone in a year. ^.^

John is unconscious - Stella begins casting a spell - Kleora is knocked out - Stella casts CLW on John - Azariah casts CLW on Kleora - Kleora opens her eyes to See Stella, and has warm fuzzy thoughts about how the woman just saved her life...

I'm not sure everyone was reading everything I posted in the game, but you should know, the monster is mobile, and coming toward you on stubby legs.

Hehe yeah, we are trying to get everyone up to do concentrated attacks but someone always goes down :P

Each character receives

200 experience points for defeating the Ghelarn

I'm not sure that we have been tracking experience as closely as we should, and there should have been some awards for the things the party has puzzled their way through

Assume everyone reaches enough experience points to put you 100 points beyond the minimum required for second level (we are using the fast track, so I think that is 1100 experience points)

You can all have maximum hp for second level, you don't need to roll, and otherwise level up your characters when you can find the time.

I know my character is going to be all kinds of weird with having the zero level but I plan on now taking the level of oracle since i can!!!

I’m a bit confused about everyone’s HP total before the rest, each of you gets Hit Points for leveling, but each of you were at low hp totals at the end of the battle, I think it should look like this

John – 19/24 (was at 7 at end of battle, plus 12=19)
Azariah – 6/20 (was at -4 at end of battle, plus 10=6)
Stella – 15/26 (was at 6 at end of battle, plus 9=15)
Kleora – 12/14 (was at 5 at end of battle, plus7=12)
