             This is your character talking.
 This is your character thinking.
This is when you speak out of character (aka OOC).
Roll attack and damage.
Battle Axe: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 111d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
The forum is coded to automatically do your dice rolls. Even if you make changes and resubmit your posting, it will keep your original dice rolls. No cheating.

Balgruuf! You son of a b$%$!! Come out and face me!
The old wizard had disappeared into the fog, but Sarlene kept her sword poised to attack.
I'll get that old bastard. No spell will save you this time.
Perception check.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Sarlene looks out on the fog-covered tundra, but sees nothing.
A voice calls menacingly from the mists...
Today you die, young warrior...
If you look in the spoiler above, you will see that you can embed one command inside another. Just look at where you place your [start] and [/finish] commands. For example:
[command1] [command 2] stuff [command/2] stuff [command/1]

Sarlene is struck by a billowing cloud of frost and ice. A thousand slivers of ice cut about her as her very bones feel the full chill of winter.
Sarlene takes 9 cold damage.
The wizard Balgruuf appears in the mist, just in front of Sarlene. A sly smile creeps across his face.
Shall we? he beckons.

Sarlene shakes off her chill, and wills her numb hands to grip her the hilt of Narlbane tightly.
For the Southlands! she cries as she charges wildly at Balgruuf.
Charging. Power attack. Call of the South ability.

Sarlene bears down on Balgruuf with gusto. She aims the blade towards the wizard's chest as she returns the wizard's sinister smile, never breaking eye contact, as she barrels forward. Narlbane is buried deep in the wizard's shoulder. Balgruuf wrests himself free with a sick jerk, and his smile is now replaced with a sickened look of panic. He turns to run.
AOO
