It shouldn't be an issue, in the grand scheme of things you're basically just staying even with the other 3.

I'll check the intro to book 4 and see how much downtime is reasonable.

The next logical location for you is about 5 days travel away. There is some pressure from the locals for you to follow up on this camp and either prevent reinforcement or gather valuable intelligence. You can take 3 weeks to craft the headband, or gather the materials and attempt to craft while you travel. The terrain is rough hills and mountains, making it difficult for the phantom chariot to pass for rationing purposes. We'll push in character once everyone is leveled and gear is purchased/crafted.

I'll post in the game thread about the "next location" - seems we need to put the headband on temporary hold until we address this pressing situation.

Travel Note: Krowe's phantom chariots are getting better. With potent magic activated Krowe can hit the level 12 tier right now, which should help somewhat with terrain..

From rules - These mounts gain certain powers according to casttaer level. A mount's abilities include those of mounts of lower caster levels.
8th Level: The mount can ride over sandy, muddy, or even swampy ground without difficulty or decrease in speed.
10th Level: The mount can use water walk at will (as the spell, no action required to activate this ability).
12th Level: The mount can use air walk at will (as the spell, no action required to activate this ability) for up to 1 round at a time, after which it falls to the ground.
14th Level: The mount can fly at its speed with a bonus on Fly skill checks equal to your caster level.

On a similar note: We can also possibly use planar ally spells to summon some flying mounts to cut down travel times, though this could get expensive.

    Yup, all 3 Societies are still being ran here. PFS1E is still supported by Paizo but no new content will be released. Season 10 is the final season for 1E. PFS 2E is just in the middle of Season 2.

    Ugh, I’ve slowly trying to extricate myself from my 2e campaigns. I’ve tried hard, but just can’t get into 2e. It might be that I’m just a grognard, or that 2e reminds me of D&D4e, or whatever, but it’s just borked in my mind.

    Bah. I was afraid of this. I've listened to a couple play podcasts and kept thinking it didn't sound like an improvement, but I couldn't tell because Jason Bulmahn was running the game, and I don't like his style of GMing. Grumble.

    There are a few things I really like and a few I don't. But I am also a newer player (2013). It takes a little getting used to but I am enjoying it as well as 1E.

    I've been playing since...uh...those red boxes when elf was a class. My problem with 2e is it needed a few more editor passes to trim a couple hundred pages of bloat. Especially compared to the leaner/cleaner systems like Savage Worlds and Fate. I am really thinking of Savage Worlds Golarion to run a pulpier game of Runelords. More Conan and Indiana Jones less Accountant: The Numbercrunching.

    I feel like PF2 went the opposite direction that DND5E did, into perhaps swampier rules rather than streamlining them. It has 3 actions per round now, correct? I feel like that was a big mistake. Again, I blame Jason Bulmahn. Not sure how he rose to the top at Paizo.

    Yup 3 actions, though it makes sense once you play a few games. The three actions gives you a bunch of choices on what you want to do as attacking 3 times usually isn't the best answer.

    Balodek:
    One of my future purchases is possibly a Monk's Robe (link). I think, and the boards (link) seem to agree (link) that I just substitute ‘brawler’ for ‘monk’ and proceed as normal.

    So at the level, my AC would improve by 1 and my unarmed & shield attacks would go from 2d6 to 2d8. All for the low low price of 13,000gp.

    Let me know if you read it the same way. If you don’t think it stacks, that’s fine and I’ll pick something else for the body slot. Just let me know.

    We've made some changes already to allow the shield throw to work, it's thematic and it's fun. I don't think that was an overpowered change. When I look at house rules like this the question is always if it's too powerful alone and if it's too powerful when combined with other abilities. Grand scheme of things we're really looking at 2 points more damage per swing, 12 damage total if you're hasted. Your last attack was 38 from dice and 84 from bonuses, which would drop to 24 against anything with DR 10/-, a real possibility at this level.

    Overall I'd say we're not going to run into a problem with this change. Your individual damage is still low per swing, even hasted and buffed with Enlarge and/or SkaldRage Brand Energy Drink you're in line with the rest of the party and Krowe's summons. Go for it.
