This is Council of Thieves AP. Westcrown, City of Twilight, once was the center of Aroden's faith, but now it symbolizes despair. By day, the city remains a vibrant center of trade; but, by night only those with a death wish venture out.

Well, as far as scouting the competition goes, Orsin's 27 Diplomacy has probably netted us a wealth of information about our opponent's previous summoning battles. We should put off the Wave Door until after the bloodsports, but I'm all for interrogating the mercenaries before lunch. :)

Done.
It's a shame Paizo doesn't allow people to upload personal artwork.

Can you link us all to a more accurate character portrait for Truk?

The WotC forums allow custom avatars and they don't seem to have a problem.
Unfortunately, that's the best avatar I could find. It's actually pretty close minus the skin tone. The only one I like for him is the one already being used for Orn. =/
If I could upload a picture I'd use this one.

Good morning everyone, Truk I will get the introductions taken care of pretty quickly.
Evil GM
Congrats everyone there are only 7 games that have more posts on these PbP boards. If you go to the Play-by-Post section, click on it, then click on Posts, it shows the post from highest to lowest. We are sitting at #8, at our posting rate we should hit 10,000 before the end of the year. Not bad for 7 months.

Aubrey's Runelord game is also doing pretty well.
Shall we wait for Orsin to arrive for questioning the prisoners, Shadow?

What's really impressive is the multiple games Aubrey has going, each with high posting.

From the info we gained, what is the closest a caster gets to his summons for buffs? Touch? 40 feet?
Evil GM
You have heard they can place touch attacks on the summoned creature and this is quite common.

Off to supper. If Orsin/Shadow show up for the interrorgation, Andrea will turn invisible and use Charm and Suggestion(Be cooperative and truthfully answer the questions)(SInce they won't see me, they won't consider me an enemy if it works that way) at the start so we can pump them for unfo. If both spells fail, We'll do it the old fashioned way.
Andrea will be more than happy to help Faelyn. Channel the Gift allows me to recharge you of spell energy and we might work out more things to do. Maybe I can compete as well.
We should buy some Silversheen for Truk since we seem to face devils at times.
Evil GM
When this AP is concluded I'd like to run the survivors through a level of Rappean Athuk.

Ah, mega-dungeons. I suppose we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
It's probably not super important but where would Truk'tosh be living? I assume some sort of low-rent apartment in a shady part of town but I'm not very familiar with Westcrown's districts.

Andrea and Orsin will be Faelyn's cheerleaders in the competition tomorrow night then. Maybe Truk can join us as well, or is there a limit on the number of attendants a summoner is allowed?
Male Half-Orc Druid 8/Cleric 1 | HP: 116/116 l AC: 26 (30 with buffs, 32 vs the first 3 attacks per round) /T: 12/FF: 24 l Fort: +15*, Ref: +5*, W: +14* l Init: +0 l Per: +15; Low-light vision l Movement: 30 *Hardy: Gain +2 racial bonus on saving throws against poison, spells, and spell-like abilities *Familiar:51/51
Once Truk is made aware of the scenario he'll have a 'creative' suggestion.

We were not told of any limit to members of Faelyn's entourage. :)
Evil GM
There really isn't a limit that you know of as to the entourage for Faelyn...it could be one or two at least, maybe more inside the summoner cage.

I wouldn't run the whole megadungeon but maybe a level, or bits a level.
---
Truk can live where he wants, there are an assortment of locations from the slums and lower end to the more artistic or merchant areas. Orsin and Faelyn live in areas that middle class.
Truk could live near the docks, which put him near the Grotto and safehouse. He can also live close to the ruined north district.

With Truk's interim employment being what it is, it probably makes more sense for him to be close to the docks.

Back! Since Shadow still seems to be at work(I believe she said she has long hours) Orsin,John and Andrea can berate the mercenaries.
Survivors through Rapan Athuk?
I want to stay a survivor hopefully, meaning not going through RA. o.o;;

My beef with those mega-dungeons is that the plot is often lacking. The writers/designers usually focus so hard on making the dungeon appropriately deadly and/or interesting that what story is there tends to err on the side of nonsensical. I enjoy tabletop (or in this case PBP) RPGs for the storytelling. If I wanted pure dungeon-crawling I'd stick to video games.
That said, Baldwin is a great DM and I'm confident he could find way to add some much needed life into a couple floors of RH. Hell, he could sub it in, in place of one of this AP's dungeons.

RA is a sandbox where you can insert your own story IMO.

I'm sure, I'd be able to breath some life into a story so it's not a massive dungeon crawl. I'm, also, thinking when you all are at a much higher character level. There are a couple scenes that could fit nicely with some modifications. Just a thought.

I just saw the post explaining that you guys roll for hitpoints. I assumed you used the PFS method.
Rolling:
Barbarian level x1 and Cleric level x3: 1d12 + 3d8 ⇒ (6) + (7, 1, 8) = 22

Perhaps we can 'Flex Time' the questioning so everyone can get back to the Safehouse and meet the new folks?
Evil GM
What is Flex Time the questioning?
Fire Resist 10 Human Cleric 6,HP 40/40,Init+5F6R4W9,Per10AC18/11/17
Well 'Flex-Time'(Flexible) is a scene that can be comfortabley inserted while say, a major scene is going on. Say I want to have lunch with several PCs and RP, we could 'Flex-Time' and chat while you start running a dungeon-crawl. Same as shopping and talking up the owners.
So Flex-Time the questioning is that unless we actually start hunting down the mercenary's bosses, we can take care of it without needing to wait for John and Orsin to log-on to start the next scene. (This can help if someone can't get on for a while)
Major scene: Andrea,John and Orsin arrive at the safe-house and meet everyone.
Flex-Time: Orsin when he logs on can ask some questions of the mercenary and then you answer.
Flex-Time can be say hiddden behind spoilers
Edit:Depends on how you like to run things.

Sorry to comment out of no where but I must say I am impressed at how far this campaign has come. Y'all at level six. Rare for games on PBP to make it so far.
I must say Baldwin, you sure know how to run a tight ship. I'm enjoying checking in every so often to see the progress. Keep it up guys.

So after we reconvene, I take it we'll Rp some and then wait for the Tourney? Or go for the Wave Door? Andrea is tapped out of many of her spells though.
