Redo Metazzo |

After the vermin are dispatched, Redo gets to work with the rest of the crew. He casts a quick cantrip, causing a small section of one of the cross-members to glow like a torch, illuminating the dark and narrow space with a flood of warm light.
"At least we will be able to see the work as we do it." he says.
perception: 1d20 ⇒ 7
"You are keen of eye, aren't you Sunny! Heck, who knows how long this crate has been down here as various bilge rats stumbled around in the dark. I am curious to know what is in it too. Let me see if there is some sort of magical influence on it before we try and pry it open."
Detect Magic on the crate.
"Sunny. I think that we need to think a bit more long term. These items give us a certain advantage that others do not have. If we put them into the Store, we give up our control of them. I would much rather that you, Stoma and Swahib have access to these if you need them in a pinch." he pauses for a second, and a slight grin crosses his face.
"Did you realize that all of your names start with S?" he asks, mischievously.

Sunny, |

Sunny nods and skips back to let Redo do his thing. At the smile and grin about names the tanned Elf frowns, tilting her head.
"But.... me name dun't....Oooo! Ye be meanin' whut t'is folks be callin' m'self, hey? On count a them not un'erstandin' me kin's speakin'?"
Sunny giggles, "Me name be 'Elanesadreil', in'a speakin' of tha' kin. Is jus' peoples not knowin' whut t'is sayin' perzacly be usin' tha' meanin' 'Sunny'." She grins brightly as she explaines.
"So..... rilly, me name begins wiff a 'Eee'." And she eagerly awaits the reveal of the contents of 'The box'. (^_^)

![]() |
The box opens to reveal its rather ghastly contents.
A semit rotting corpse is inside and its stench swiftly hits all of you. Dressed in simple leathers with ebony hair still attached to a wide fetching features, eyes open wide in her final moments of terror. She looks strangely familar.........
This woman was stabbed to death.
She was also likely drugged since it's unlikely that she would just let anyone stick her with a belayig pin. She also carries several bruises on her
The poor woman before her death seemed to have being forced against her will judging by her state of undress before being killed.
A Bloody note scribbled on a piece of leather, in shaking letters.
S..o..ur..e Wh. me.
signed off as 'Amber'.

Happy feeling gone

Perception:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Heal Untrained:1d20 + 0 ⇒ (2) + 0 = 2
Sunny peers closer at the scrap of leather that seems to have taken her interest among-st the grizzly scene.....
"S, O, UR, E, WH, ME." She absently scratches at her blond mop as she reads out loud.
"Any one remember some 'Amber'?" She asks, looking around at her companions quite perplexed. Sunny frowns,
"Now.. why d'ye think Master Scourge went an' done somat as nasty as this? Other than him bein' right nasty, that is?" She looks sadly at the body,
"Does we has a Cleric in'a place? We should be doin' whut's right by tha' lass..." She suggests.

Stoma Argento |

perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Stoma looks over the boxes ghastly contents
"Seems to say Scourge wh then me...I think we need to warn Jerieth about this and maybe arrange for the body to be found after we've not been in the vicinity, I'm sure the rest of the crew will be interested in that of poor Amber"

Redo Metazzo |

Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Heal: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Redo turns a fair shade of grey for a moment as the stench and the sight of the corpse assault his senses. After a few moments, his color returns.
"Well this is a bit of nastiness that I was not expecting." Redo says with a grimace.
"I don't know anybody by the name of Amber. And I imagine that nobody was supposed to find this body. I also assume that the body has been here for a while, but Scourge isn't going to be kindly to us if we reveal the presence of the body. I don't have the faintest idea how we would get this up to someplace where it could be discovered. I don't think that any of the other officers are interested in coming down to the hold."
"If we could figure out who is likely to be against Scourge, or hates him among the officers, that might be a good play. Or...we could just keep quiet about this, at least until we figure out how best to use it."

Drak Roberts |

Back to the ropes.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
"Nice to meet you Sam. Names Drak. Yea he gave us all an interesting hello. How long have you been with the crew?" Drak asks while working.
Back to now.
Heal: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0

Sam Grins at Drake.
"To be honest? Since I was a wee lad. I'm supposed to be 18 now." With that he laughs.
"Crew picked me up when I was a wee baby floating amidst some ship wreck. Have being in the care of the Ship overall as a result."

Jerieth |

"I think I prefer to learn from the source than by word of mouth."
Jerieth quickly made her way out of there like a bat out of hell.
should I reroll my perception to find the redhead again?

![]() |
Scurage raises his cup towards the Undine.
"By all means sure. However my sweet, you'll be back........like the others"
Try as she might and with the others working, Jerieth does not spot the red head of her choosing but she does spot Drake speaking with a halfling amidst the ropes. Of the others? Likely still below.

Jerieth |

Okay how big is this ship!? Shouldn't be too hard to find her I guess right?
Jerieth mentally pushed back the feeling of dread caused by his words. While she was concerned for her own safety she was also now concerned for the redheaded human's safety now that Scourge knew about Jerieth's attraction to her. So as she quickly made her way on deck she saw Drak talking to an halfling in the rigging.
"Well this reeks like dirty goblin loincloths! Where the blazes is that redhead human!? Shouldn't be that hard to find her right?"
Jerieth continued to look for the redhead. She felt like ripping the ship apart until she found her. The undine was starting to think that Scourge had already gotten to her.
"Just my luck. I find a beautiful fiery haired siren and now I can't find her! Besmara, Calistria, and Desna what did I do to offend you!?"

Sunny, |

Sunny, as delicately as she can, puts the body back in the box and replaces the lid.
"Well.. t'will help agin tha' smell, at least..." She comments.
(So, we's finished with doin' stuff down below?)
The tanned Elf scampers back up to join in the completion of the rest of the ship's daily duties..

Stoma Argento |

Stoma continues as he can working away and when finished washes himself and whoever wishes down with created water.
He then proceeds to his bed and stores the mace.
Then he goes up to the main deck to find the others.

Redo Metazzo |

Seeing that nothing more is to be done below, Redo flicks his fingers in a quick cantrip, "GALDUR", he intones, and there is a short puff of dust from his personage as all the dirt and muck jumps off.
"Anyone else?", he offers.
Prestidigitation

![]() |
Jerieth hears a chuckle as she proclaims to the heavens on her inability to find her red headed quarry. Turning she finds what seems to be a weathered seaman gazing out to the seas, his arms resting on the railings.
As the rest of the party finishes their job, footsteps can be heard coming down towards all of you. As you all look up you see a red headed woman striding down the stairs, her eyes glances towards the crate and then she looks straight at all of you.
"Sent here to see if you're all alive or simply slacking. Good to see you're all alive though no matter what Scourge says, it'll always be you're not doing enough. Name's Sandara. Cleric of Besmara."

![]() |
She shakes her head.
"Seal it back up. I've a feeling that this would happen so I volunteered to come and get you. Pretend you'd never seen it."

Jerieth |

Oops! Forgot I wasn't with the others! Is it okay if I do this is in two parts? She talks with the strange sailor and then meets up with the others?
The undine turned and looked at the man.
"Well worshipping takes a lot of work but luckily all of three fit my beliefs and way of life. I love the sea so worshipping Besmara makes sense. I love well flirting with beautiful women so Calistria respects that part of my life and not to mention I'm a bit of a hedonist so there you go. And I love the stars and travel, so Desna is right for me. I pray to them as much as I can. Besides me dad worshipped Besmara, my mom worshipped Calistria, and while traveling the world I found Desna so you could say the three goddesses are important to me. How about you? What deity or deities do you worship?"
When she sees the others come up on deck along with Sandra this is her reply and reaction. Again sorry about the mess up. Trying to do some cleaning up while roleplaying. Cleaning house and roleplaying don't mix quite well!
"Well now this is a surprise. So I finally meet the lovely lady that I've been searching and I don't even know your name. I was worried that Scourge had done something to you. Seems he's a skirt chaser of the evil type it would seemed. Ah where are my manners. The name's Jerieth. I was just telling this gentleman here that I worship Besmara, Calistria and Desna. It is an honor and an immense pleasure to meet the woman who has captured my heart."
Jerieth hoped to see if Sandra was hiding anything while the undine flirted with the redhead in front of her.
She also wondered what the others had been up.
She then smiled at Sandra while walking towards the human swaying her hips some in a seductive manner, and asked, "So just curious here has Scourge chased after you as well?"
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 Crosses fingers and sees if Jerieth makes a good impressive on Sandra.

Stoma Argento |

"Thankyou servant of the Queen of the waves"
When they are on deck he discreetly approaches Jerieth and whispers to her
"Found a body of a woman below decks in a crate, pretty thing, I wouldn't be suprised if it was a former crush of Scourges, watch yourself"

Redo Metazzo |

Redo taps Sunny on the shoulder, "GALDUR" causing another soft puff of dust and dirt. He smiles briefly, but the grin drops away as the priestess comes down the stairs.
She shakes her head.
"Seal it back up. I've a feeling that this would happen so I volunteered to come and get you. Pretend you'd never seen it."
Redo frowns, "We of course will do what you say, but even with my limited knowledge of religion, I have to think that keeping a corpse from the waves embrace cannot be a good idea. I would hope that this won't curse the ship in some way...I am still on it and would prefer not to invoke the Lady's wrath." Redo says with polite questions in his voice.
diplomatic questioning: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
I feel that this is just as balanced as any discussion with my Master...that he would disintegrate me in a moment if I showed any disrespect

Sunny, |

Sunny giggles as the magic washes over her and the dirt, muck and grime from their previous endeavors in the bilges vanishes from her tanned frame. At the entrance and introduction of Sandara, Sunny skips over to the woman and sticks a tanned arm/hand forwards,
"Hey-YA there! Me name be 'Sunny' in'a speakin' of peoples, like whut I done as-plained ta' me friends a'fore." (^_^) She spins about and sweeps her arms to show she's including every one now gathered in the lower hold before turning to Sandara again,
"Here.. if'n ye in't ta' be puttin' yon lass t'rest? Might ye be doin' somat ta' be helpin' with her not...um.. bein' so stinky?" Sunny asks of the Besmaran Cleric.
"Who knows? May-hap we'll come in't shine an' be able t'do right by yon lass, hey?" Sunny opines before she frowns,
"Um.. I think I un'erstand whut type of nasty Scourge be," She ponders for a moment, "... but truly? We is in all sorts a trouble should yon lass be found an' we's fingered fer tha' deed?" Sunny shakes her blond mop.
"Argh! I dun't un'erstand tha' ways of peoples. They doin' things whut jus' dun't be makin' sense." (>_<)

![]() |
Sandara indicates that Suny closes up the crate.
"Needless to say this was once a fellow crewmate but fell prey to Scourge's attention. It would have being better if she gave in but no she had to play the Noble high aspiring ideals she held and it cost her, her life." Sandara takes Suny's hand but swiftly drops it as she points towards the crate.
"We have not the chance to give a proper burial for her as Scourge believes her already under the waves. He does not know she died abroad this very ship."

Sunny, |

Sunny takes a hold of Sandra's belt and drags her over towards the box.
"Aye, I be puttin' tha' lil' pointy things back in'a lid sure 'nuff... But you be doin' somat about tha' smell, hey? Down here be bad as is. No need fer addin' more t' tha' mess." The tanned Elf nods emphatically, skipping back and indicating the Cleric lass should be casting any type of spell to help things along.

![]() |
Sandara Grimaces as she's dragged along by Suny towards the crate and as soon as she lets go, she skips back.
"I have no spells this day to help you towards that end."
Turning to Sawib, she smirks.
"You'll need more training Warrior of the empty hands. There is one you could ask for guidance but know that he's known to be rather impartial and tempermental."

Sunny, |

As Sandara steps back Sunny nods, "Ah.. why din't ye say so? I'll just put a couple a pointy things back in'a lid, so's we can open it up agin when ye does has tha' right thing fer tha' job, hey?" So saying Sunny acts true to her word and 'hammers' in a single nail into each corner of the lid, the easier for her to open said box again come the providing of the right spells.
Handing back the mace and remaining nails to whom ever wanted the mace. (^_^)

Redo Metazzo |

Redo nearly smiles at Sunny's pointed actions, but then the seriousness of the situation crushes down upon him again.
"Now that this is dealt with, do we head back up on deck?" he asks, motioning back up the gangway and towards the open air.
"Not that I am particularly eager to be under Scourge's malevolent eye."

![]() |
"Yes. You are done here." Sandara follows the party up where they meet up with their fellow party member, the flirtious Jerieth.
Upon hearing her though, Sandara raises an eyebrow.
"And he won't be the last either seeing as another has joined in the queue."
She then smiles at the rest of you.
"Let me put this straight. I'm a friendly but do anything else to indicate otherwise, that will change."
She pauses and then continues.
"I have a freer reign than most but even then it's not absolute. What you need to know is that this ship has groups and then no groups acting together, all held together by the Captain of this ship and his officers. It'll be in your best interests to keep your head low and not attract so much attention. It would be best if you can get yourself into the Mess. We need a sober cook."
As she turns to leave, she moves closer to Jerieth and whispers into her ear.
"Sorry Dearie. I'm spoken for." leaving a scent of fresh lemons.

Jerieth |

Jerieth's jaw dropped, her shoulders slumped over, and her eye twitched when her redheaded siren spoke those words.
"In the holy names of Besmara, Calistria, and Desna, are you telling me that someone beat me to you? I...well...good for them I guess. And who pray tell is the one who has successfully wooed you my redheaded siren who just ripped out my heart and fed it to the sharks?"
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 Trying to see if she can spot any sort of unusual behavior in her.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 + 1 = 19
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15 [ooc]Is she lying or playing hard to get?[/dice]

![]() |
Sandara smirks as she answers, winking at the others away from Jerieth's line of sight.
"Why Scourge of course!" as she sways her way out of sight but not out of mind.
For some Reason, Jerieth's not sure if she's joking or not.

Redo Metazzo |

Unable to contain himself at Jerieth's obvious consternation, Redo bursts out laughing.
"There are more fish in the sea Jerieth, and likely more with fewer teeth than this one. Come on, we have more work to do." he says as he claps her on the back and heads over towards the buckets and scrub-brushes.

Jerieth |

Ouch.
Jerieth turned red with both jealously and rage.
"You mean to say that you're..."
She lets out a string of curses in Aquan. As she storms up to the redhead and tells her in simple terms: "I. Like. You. And. I. Think you're beautiful. But you're sleeping with that skirt chaser!?"
Instead of kissing her Jerieth slaps her across the face and storms off holding back her tears. She felt like finding a fireball spell and blowing up the ship with her on it.
She grabs a mop bucket and mop and begins cleaning the deck moving away from the redhead who had just offended the undine.
She says to Redo, "Maybe so but sadly there's only one like her and she'll be the one who got away."

![]() |
Sandara with reddening cheeks laughed.
"No wonder Scourge wants her. Fiesty one isn't she?" she remarks to Sawib.
"Tell her to keep away from any drink Scourge offers, he's built an immunity to posion over the years somehow."

Stoma Argento |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Iocane powder.. fortunately I'm Australian and we're all immune
Here or up on deck Stoma pitches in.
As he is working Stoma ponders thoughts and plans
That one is a little too intemperate at the moment, hopefully she'll learn a few lessons quickly, so we can all survive this

Jerieth |

Jerieth had to admit that Sunny was always positive. Always smiling. Smiling a bit herself, the undine studied the elf for awhile as she swabbed the deck. She had to admit the elf was good looking, which went well with her sunny disposition.
I hope everyone is okay with Jerieth being a flirt and all. If you're not let me know and I'll tone it down some.
