Yeah, we'll need spells and energy channels to take down this guy. A bard would have been great too.

Grand Lodge

We might even need gelb ;)

*gasp*

Hi all, just to let you know, I am going on holiday again (what! again!?) for a week from this Saturday until next Saturday.

You know you love the changeling's cowardly heart. :P

Gelb's going to be very important in this fight.

I'm strongly considering drawing my hammer and heading up front to tank. Fighting defensively I have a pretty good AC, and we need Kazadar to cast spells, preferably out of reach of the big guy.

A question I have is whether Gil is more useful as a spellcaster or as a tank (in the battlesuit).

I really need to just make a character sheet for her in-suit and not try to combine everything into a single sheet like it is now.

Grand Lodge

You would need to roll better than a 20 to hit it in melee with the suit.

Good point. The suit has AC 28 and DR 15/adamantine, though - is that something we need?

Grand Lodge

You do have that fire lance. I bet it will hit AC 28 nearly every time, but DR 15 is something solid.

Firstly, sorry for being a bit quiet over the last couple of days - busy at work. Secondly, I am on holiday (again?!) from Thursday to Monday. However, it's the last one this year.

Grand Lodge

I'm a little quiet for the opposite reason. If you aren't on vacation you are working 7 days a week over here. 2 more weeks of that.

The Exchange

No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30

OK, I'm off until Monday. Have a nice weekend!

The Exchange

Going to be a bit quiet over the weekend.

Grand Lodge

We are going to Copenhagen for a few days from Saturday. We'll have wifi, but I may be a little quiet on the travel days.

M Humanborn

FYI, i'm currently primarily posting from my cell phone, dealing with crappy Hawaii hotel wi-fi (it's like they expect me to go outside or something) for four days until i fly to a different hotel with unknown wi-fi potency for an unknown number of days.

So, while i will be posting, they will be slightly more infrequent and most typically brief.

Copy/pasted to all games.

Guys, I'm running a Dark Sun game that's getting a reboot. It's converting from 4e to PF and I'm also looking for one or two more players. Anyone interested? If so, the discussion thread is here and the gameplay thread is here.

Tempted, but I should pass. I'm not doing my current games justice, I'm afraid, and I don't know DS that well, anyway. Have fun!

Grand Lodge

Male Human Expert 5

Yeah, I'll pass as well. I can barely keep up with the three games I'm already in.

Grand Lodge

Same :)

I've been a bit semi-detached over the past few days. Sorry for that - work has been a bit busy and I've also managed to injure myself (not seriously) which has also added distraction.

Sorry for being incommunicado. Just had a lot on my plate for a while. Things should get better for me as we head into the holidays.

The Exchange

Not to worry.

Away this weekend, so I will be quiet.

Female Kobold

Hey there, lurker here. Aubrey, out of curiosity, how much of this campaign stuff do you save? I'd be really interested to see the stats of that spirit-infused mirror monster, if it's not just taken from an existing publication.

Best regards regardless, and good luck with that Hall of Extinction! :P

The Exchange

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Well, without wanting to reveal too many secrets... It's just a dread wraith, as per the pfsrd. The mirror thing is just a bit of set-dressing.

Yeah, that's pretty good.

pretty cool.

also, Kazadar doesnt have much in the way of CC spells left since he has used Blade Barrier today already (unless i missed a rest since then).

i have some spells that can hold single creatures in place, which might stopper the hallway if used on a larger individual. but not forever and possibly not even very long.

Haste, Divine Power, Air Walk, Death Ward Dwarf Fighter 1 / Cleric 8 / Sovereign Speaker 3; HP 87/116

what do you all think if i did something like a cage wall with Stone Shape? so we can shoot through but not pass through?

Grand Lodge

I didn't answer because I've never used stone shape and wasn't sure of the limitations.

You can shape 21 cubic feet. (10 + 1/CL)

If you wanted to make a full wall, 10 feet high, 1 foot thick and 80 feet long to seal off one side of the room it would need 800 cubic feet.
Let's say 6 inches thick, so 400 feet. Let's say it is bars to make a wall like a jail cell as I think you are suggesting... maybe 1/4 of the space is solid and the rest is open space between bars? Still 100 cubic feet. If you go very thin with the bars to cover the length I imagine them being pretty fragile. You could technically do 1 inch thick bars down the length of one side up to a height of 10 feet.

If I understood what you want to do I think the room is just too big to accomplish it with stone shape.

I used this calculator to see about the dimensions. You might find a use for it in the future.

In rereading the room description I'm not sure how far down the lower section is or how high the ceiling is. You could seal off one of the ramps leading up to us really well.

To do something complicated bike bars I might expect some sort of Craft check.

Just to let you know, my home computer has died. My posting might be disrupted as a result.

Haste, Divine Power, Air Walk, Death Ward Dwarf Fighter 1 / Cleric 8 / Sovereign Speaker 3; HP 87/116

well, i'd have to touch it so i'd have to go all the way down to seal the ramps off.

M Humanborn

also, what about your computer has died? you can recover data off your old hard drive if it wasnt the part that died.

The Exchange

No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30

I think the hard drive is OK (I've got my work computer, which is what I'm using now). I don't have the time, knowledge or inclination to fix it myself, and I've been meaning to upgrade the operating system to a more advanced version of Windows, so I'm going to kill two birds with one stone and get that done too when I go to the shop to get it fixed. I'll make sure they save my docs and photos, though.

M Humanborn

if they try to gouge you price-wise for transferring files, you can get a hard drive slave cable and it is relatively simple and cheap to do it yourself. once you hook it up thus you can just use the hard drive like an external.

The Exchange

No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30

Sorry for being so slow - my computer now lives, but I'm busy at work and a bit knackered at home. I should get going in the next day or so.

I'm going to add the corridor and the mirror room to the map so we can see the whole party. I need to do this at home.

Grand Lodge

Male Human Expert 5

I'll be done grading exams by tomorrow; I'll be more with it once the damned things are out of the way.
