Initiative order: Rorse, Titus, Hickory, Lord Brycen, Sir Kheiron, Theodremir, Corvus, Hobart, Daciana, Imogene, Rommin, Lilo, Eriniyes, Carylis, Kuras
The man barking orders stops mid order as Eriniye's bolt rips a hole through the man's other thigh, tearing an artery and the man starts bleeding out onto the deck.
Carylis engages her boarder, inflicting a minor wound. Kuras readies for more boarders.

Rorse and Vero are starting to look all to pleased with the vicous battle at hand though, it can't hurt that Hickory is singing tells of heroism at sea, and that rorse seems to think she may be singing it about him.
confirm to crit and damage for Rorse1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 181d10 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Edited for continuity. I just really really hated border 6.

Nazard |

Oops, I did miss the stuff that happens before Rorse. Apologies.
Boarder 8 takes a swing at Rorse with his sabre, but can't hit the nimbly mobile mounted halfling. Boarder 7 took at 5 foot step to attack the other soldier and swung so badly his sabre nearly went overboard. More grappling lines fly through the air to snag railings, while three more boarders swing aboard, this time to the aft deck.
Boarder 5 takes a swing back at Carylis, making a nasty gash across her shoulder and chest.
Rorse's sword thrust goes through boarder 8's chest right up to the hilt. Rorse sees the man's life go out of his eyes before he even falls off his sword blade. Vero snarls at the dead man, then takes a quick 5-foot step and sinks his teeth into Boarder 7, doing some serious damage to the man's leg and hauling him down to the decking.
Titus moves forward to flank boarder 5 with the very-injured half-elf and seriously jiggles the guy's brain in his own skull. He drops with a moan.
Hickory continues to sing and rushes forward to begin sawing at a grappling rope.
Sir Kheiron! A little help up here please, some of you hear Lord Brycen call out. Sir Kheiron charges up the ladder and runs a boarder through. The flaming spheres continue to burn.
Theodremir attacks one of the aft boarders, with no success.
Corvus pulls out her crossbow and takes aim at one of the Chelish man working the aft ballista on board the starboard vessel. Her bolt flies true, but not enough to take him down. The man snarls at her and rotates his ballista to aim at her while his partner prepares to fire.
Hobart, the only friendly currently down is the soldier Maxalis took down with a thrown dagger. It's been 6 rounds, but he might still be alive.
MAP UPDATED

Nazard |

** spoiler omitted **
They're on the other ships. Lord Brycen would not be pleased if Hobart doused his flaming spheres. Besides, the Chels have already tried that with no success.
The soldier still breathes, but he does not regain consciousness with that rebuke death. His wounds do stabalize, of course.
Daciana and Imogene ready themselves for more attackers.
Rommin, in looking for targets on the Chelish ships, notices the man about to fire his scorpion at Corvus and takes a potshot. He sticks an arrow in the man's shoulder, but it is not enough to deter him as he prepares to fire.
[b]LILO to act...[/bigger]

Nazard |

Lilo's sling flies true and bruises Boarder 7's left shoulder. Eriniye's shot, on the other hand, comes nowhere near the Chelish scorpion operator.
Carylis severs a nearby rope, as does Kuras.
Four scorpion bolts fly from the Chelish ships. One of them flies harmlessly overhead, one slices through a sail, and a third slams into the hull with a nasty crack.
The fourth one flies across at deck level. It catches Corvus directly in the gut and carries her along the deck for several feet and down the forward ladder before depositing her and careening off into the ocean on the other side.
Ballistae on board your ship also fire at targets on the Chelish ships. Three Chels are ripped to shreds as is one of their sails.
ROUND 7
Rorse to act...

Nazard |

Boarders 11 and 12 move to engage the centaur, but he easily steers their blows aside. Boarder 10 engages Theodremir, affecting a small wound on the First Mate.
Vero finishes off boarder number 7, ripping a nasty gash in his throat that begins to bleed out on the decking.
Titus moves 5 feet and severs a rope. Hickory moves forward to retrieve her dagger from her target's body. She finds that he's still alive and nonchalantly plunges her dagger back into the guy's chest again.
The port flaming sphere winks out, quickly replaced with another, this time harassing a scorpion crew. The starboard sphere moves to burn the man that fired at Corvus. He shrieks and falls to the deck while the sphere continues to burn his body.
Sir Kheiron takes several good swings at Boarder 11 with his sword, missing on his first one, but connecting solidly with his second, sending Boarder 11 to the ground. His shield comes up to smash Boarder 12 in the face, bloodying him somewhat but not sending him down. The man, without his partner, now looks very unsure of himself.
There is nobody around for Hobart to attack, so he makes a dash for where Corvus lies, prepared with a rebuke death. Sadly, death cannot be rebuked in this case, as your former cell-mate has already expired.
Rommin the sniper fires again, this time targeting the man behind the wheel of the starboard vessel. It's an awkward shot as one of the Chelish sails gets slightly in the way, but his aim is true and he arrow grazes the man's skull. He immediately ducks down, using the wheel as cover.
Seeing Rommin's arrow graze the Chelish wheelman/captain, Falcon Gray casts a quick spell, and three bolts of energy fly from his fingers, cross the gulf between ships and slam repeatedly into the man. Blood flies as the bolts hit home, and the man falls backwards, nearly going over the aft railing, and lies still. Falcon gives Rommin a quick wave.
Eriniyes, seeing the scorpion operator go down in flames, adjusts her aim to the forward scorpion operator on the starboard ship. Her crossbow bolt goes very wide as the ships lurch unexpectedly.
Lilo to act...

![]() |

and once again it seems you failed to take Lilo's actions into account
THIS ROUND!!!!!!
Lilo blanches slightly at Hickory's casual dispatching of the Chel but stands his ground sending another Sling bullet away towards the enemy
1d20 ⇒ 3
it splashes ineffectually into the ocean
Realising that he is an obvious target he cancels the Enlarge Person after firing

ROUND 8
Two more rounds before the ship is ready for the escape spells.
Initiative order: TWF Boarder, Rorse, Titus, Hickory, Lord Brycen, Sir Kheiron, Theodremir, Hobart, Daciana, Imogene, Rommin, Falcon Gray, Lilo, Eriniyes, Carylis, Kuras
As Rorse is looking about for more ropes to cut, he spies the one to starboard, but before he can make a move for it, a new boarder swings up to the foredeck from the port ship. This guy looks a little more competent than the boarders you've been so easily dispatching so far. He lands easily on the deck and whips out two sabres as quick as lightning.
Rorse to act...

Nazard |

Both Rorse's arrow and Vero's bite do little more than graze the newest Chelish boarder. Vero's trip attempt: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 The big man easily shrugs loose from Vero's maw.
Seeing a new boarder threatening Rorse, Vero, and Lilo, Titus throws his borrowed blade down and dashes up the port ladder. It's just too far, however, for Titus to move up and attack, so he is just able to move this round.
Hickory moves up, continuing to sing inspirationally. She whips her dagger up at the new boarder, but it clangs uselessly off his chain shirt and falls to the deck. "Donkey s&#$!!" she growls.
Lord Brycen summons a new flaming sphere to replace the one that expires on the starboard vessel, while Sir Kheiron finishes dispatching Boarder 12, and Theodremir runs boarder 10 thoroughly through.
Hobart to act...

Nazard |

I was in a rush, so I didn't find the best icon for TWF Boarder. He's at the top of the forward starboard ladder.
Hobart rushes up to the foot of the ladder, takes one step up, and stabs at the newest boarder, who nimbly steps aside of the spear thrust at his shins.
Daciana hisses at Hobart as he steps past her into the spot she wanted. She pulls out a dagger and hurls it up at the boarder, but it lands hilt first and bounces off his chain shirt. Imogene hurls a fire orb up at the boarder and catches a glancing blow off his shoulder, smoldering his cloak slightly.
Rommin to act...

Nazard |

Lilo's sling whirls in his hands and he lets a stone fly at the new boarder, but it sails over his head and splashes harmlessly in the ocean.
Eriniyes' arrow is equally as effective. Frustrated with the archery, she climbs over the edge of the crow's nest and begins the climb down. Several arrows fly up at her now that she's left the relative cover of the crow's nest, and while one of them sticks into the mast scant inches from her face (startling her and nearly causing her to fall), she is missed.
The remaining grappling lines are cut, save for the one on the starboard bow.
ROUND 9
TWF Boarder looks warily around him at the gathering of opposition surrounding him. He takes one quick swipe at Vero with one of his sabres, cutting a nasty gash across Vero's neck and chest. Vero whimpers at the blow and goes down taking 14 points of damage. He then pivots slightly to slice at Hobart with his second sabre, cutting him lightly for 5 points of damage. Finally, he misses with a second slash at Hobart with his first sabre.
Rorse to act...

Rorse |

rorse1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 181d10 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6Vero1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 181d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
if the mounted combat check fails then Vero goes down and takes rorse with him causein him to take 1d6 ⇒ 4 worth of damage. rorse will stand up drop his bow and draw his great sword.

Nazard |

Rorse's check, while impressive, is not enough to beat the man's blow, which was obviously a critical strike. Titus attempts to grab the man, but he is as slippery as an eel, and easily deflects Titus' grasping meathooks.
Hickory tosses a dagger at the man, which deflects off his chain shirt like others have before.
Lord Brycen yells out, "Cut that line!" while he continues to use his flaming spheres on both ships to interfere with their helmsmen.
Sir Kheiron moves across the deck, ready to move in if somebody else should fall. Hobart's thrust misses widely, though he does heal some of the damage he just took.
Daciana draws her second dagger and throws, scoring a nasty critical on the man, drawing a serious amount of blood. Imogene's little ball of fire sails wide over the man's shoulder and out over the sea before winking out.
Rommin to act...
Eriniyes, the only boarder left is the one causing so much trouble at the front. Which penalty would she like to impose on the man?

Nazard |

Rommin's arrow hits home, delivering the first wound that the man actually seems to notice.
As Eriniyes climbs down the mast, a trio of magic missiles zing past her and slam into the Boarder, drawing more spurts of blood. Eriniyes gives the man the "evil eye" and seem to weaken his defenses somewhat.
The Boarder, looking injured now and very surrounded, whips his head back and forth, and finding now way out, takes a flying leap backwards, trying to go over the side to the relative safety of the water. Rorse, Titus, and Hobart can make attacks of opportunity to prevent his escape.
