The inn of Shar eh...Well then let us go pay them a visit
RIZZENMAGNUS |
Ramshackle. hodge-podge.
these two words describe the inn of Shar to a T. exposure to seaside weather has left the wood stain and paint faded, the wood itself pealing and suffering rot at various stages. Black, brown, yellow mold grow everywhere there is a remote cast of shade.
The roof itself is three different types, thatch tile and pine shingle. large holes in it make you think that the roof is there to direct the rain towards certain areas and not to keep the place dry.
Large overhanging rooms lean out at obscure angles, looking like a stiff breeze will bring the place to the ground.
and yet, there is something odd about this place.
As you approach, you ponder it. it is like a word at the tip of your tongue. it annoys you. it worries you.
then you see it.
the crowd.
the crowd in the street presses close to the buildings on the street, except the Inn.
People walk around some unseen border, as if leery to enter into it.
A'streth |
A'streth turns to the old timer, "Is there some sort of warding on this building?"
He casts Detect Magic to inspect the building with his own eyes.
Shivam Bhatt |
Shivam gives the place a good look Reminds me of a place back home
One would not suspect a soft solamnic to stay here, perhaps they are more clever than expected
A'streth |
"Let us proceed, we do not want them to get away again".
Stealth 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Shivam Bhatt |
Shivam attempts to emulate A'streth while moving forward Stealth: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 and not doing a good job at all.
Shivam Bhatt |
how are you stealthing?
I was just emulating A'streth...poorly
A'streth |
My plan was to Stealth once I go TO the building. Sorry I was not more clear!
RIZZENMAGNUS |
ok, just wanted to make sure i understood your stealthing.
Thomas, eager to get his hands on some Solamnics, pushes through the crowd, draging the informant with him.
STepping across the unseen threshold that seems to protect the building from the rifraff, he feels an odd sensation, as if he stepped into a hot waterfall.
Stopping momentarily, Thomas looks about with suspicion, but not seeing anything, presses on.
SHivam and A'streth move forward, also pausing at the threshold.
With informant in hand, Thomas barges into the door causing it to slam hard into the wall behind. The noise sounds louder than usual in a place like this.
Not one to wait, Thomas continues forward, his eyes adjusting to the dull taproom.
Taking advantage of the situation A'streth sneaks in through the door and is about to hide behind a group of men sitting by a table when Shivam, In an attempt to mimic a'streth, trips and falls over the door jam. Shouting a curse that makes everyone look at him and A'streth, Shivam falls face first onto the floor with a sick flesh smacking crack.
A'streth |
Humanssss he shakes his head.
A'streth assists Shivam up from the floor and takes in the crowd.
