Samuel Sledge |

Sledge will have a looksee around.
1d20 + 22 ⇒ (11) + 22 = 33
Mostly for other enemies.

Jones Shei'lac |

1d20 + 20 + 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 20 + (2) + 2 = 41

Rynjin |

Jones, on the other hand, sees a man crouching in the shadows and brush off the side of the road with a dagger held and ready to throw at Darius' back.
Though still only barely.
That's Move actions from Sledge and Jones. Darius and Zin, and Standards from you two?

Darius Ral'algul |

Darius casts Cure Serious Wounds on himself and sighs.
CSW: 3d8 + 9 ⇒ (1, 8, 3) + 9 = 21
31 back
" How annoying, that likely isnt the end of them "

Jones Shei'lac |

Jones drinks his Dex mutagen as he turns to face this new threat.
"Well, I was hoping to get a warm-up anyway."

Jones Shei'lac |

"Darius! Behind you!"

Zin'Retatarianna Mor |

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Z sees nothing but detonates a fireball into the brush hoping to injure the lurking threat, or clear enough cover away to expose him.
Fireball placed into the brush pointed at by Jones.
Explosion DC22 Reflex: 10d6 + 10 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 3, 6, 6, 3, 4, 1, 6) + 10 = 51
-Posted with Wayfinder

Rynjin |

1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22
Zin hears n yelp of pain or anything form the brush, and though she clears it, the sturdier trees and saplings still block her view.
He takes a penalty to Stealth though. You just rolled REALLY low on your Perception.

Samuel Sledge |

Perception: 1d20 + 22 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 22 + 2 = 33

Zin'Retatarianna Mor |

"You must be seeing things, Jones. Nothing is there."
-Posted with Wayfinder

Samuel Sledge |

"You heard that yelp, surely. And I can see him."

Jones Shei'lac |

Jones dismissively rolls his eyes at Zin.

Darius Ral'algul |

Little of both. It was obvious what he was doing.. I'd just.. move away. Or gained scent.. actually I already have that I guess the ghasts masked that.
" Zin, your eyes need spectacles, you cannot see that man right there? "

Rynjin |

Yeah, I gave these Ghasts that "Civilized Ghoulishness" Feat because they didn't have it but were supposed to be this guy's assistants...helping him running his business...dealing with people. There were a lot of things about this encounter that didn't make any sense before I re-wrote it which I'll discuss once you murderize this guy. It's your turn BTW.

Jones Shei'lac |

Jones chuckles.
"Hah. It looks like the three of us are all seeing things."
How far away is he?

Darius Ral'algul |

Darius switches his bane to human Bane and makes sure to whip the man within his 10ft reach instead. " Trying to be sneaky was a mistake. Best you give up cur. "
Whip it: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
Whip it Good: 1d3 + 11 + 4d6 ⇒ (2) + 11 + (6, 1, 1, 5) = 26
If Hit make a Will Save or -6 Con

Rynjin |

Okay one sec, Sledge and Jones going out of turn screwed me up. You cast Cure Serious as your action before they were able to point this guy out. I'll let you still Move and switch your Bane, but you used your Standard already. This guy's turn.
Clanartus snarls in frustration as his attempt to Asassinate Darius is foiled by Jones. Nevertheless, he moves in slightly and begins tossing daggers at the monster hunter.
"You found me. Tough luck, for you."
Dagger 1: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27
Dagger 2: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24
Dagger 3: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (18) + 16 = 34
Dagger 4: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
Dagger 5: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
Dagger 6: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Assuming your AC is correct at 21:
Damage: 5d4 + 60 ⇒ (3, 2, 4, 1, 4) + 60 = 74
And make a single DC 23 Fort save (higher DC from stacking doses) to avoid taking Str damage from poison.
Then your attack goes off.
Fort vs DC 21: 1d20 ⇒ 15
And he passes the Fort (barely), but is injured by the whip.
Then Sledge, Zin, and Jones again. Sledge DOES have a charge lane past Darius, but Jones does not.
Edit: Wait that's a WILL save, not a Fort save. He does NOT pass, and takes -6 Con.

Jones Shei'lac |

Jones drinks Shield and moves closer.

Samuel Sledge |

Sledge smashes the punk.
1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 12 + 2 = 27
1d8 + 24 ⇒ (1) + 24 = 25
1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 12 + 2 = 32
1d8 + 21 ⇒ (4) + 21 = 25
1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 7 + 2 = 13
1d8 + 21 ⇒ (8) + 21 = 29
Exercising full snakejukes against this guy.

Jones Shei'lac |

Jones looks around for more sneaky bastards.
1d20 + 20 + 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 20 + (4) + 2 = 42

Darius Ral'algul |

Fort Save: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
Darius shrugs of the residue likely inside the daggers as he pulls each one out separately. He spits on the man. " I guess luck wasnt on YOUR side.. worthless filth. "
Healing his own wounds as well.
CLW: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
CLW: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
36
He nods to Zin, " Thank you.. the wretch got his just desserts. Lets see if he had anything of use. "
Looting the corpse.

Jones Shei'lac |

Jones recharges his Shield extract with a Boro Bead.
"Would you all mind waiting an hour while I prepare another mutagen? I would prefer to have it ready when I need it."
Assuming nobody minds, he will do so.

Carrion Crown Treasure Monster |

The man has on him:
-29 Masterwork daggers (including the five sticking out of Darius, but missing the one that flew off into the brush).
-1 Mithral Shirt
-Disguise Kit
-Thieves' Tools
-20 pp (200 gp, everyone gets 5 pp/50 gp)
-And a small ceramic egg. The egg appears to have some sort of seam on it and can be opened should you choose to do so.

Samuel Sledge |

"Don't open that egg yet."
Sledge will find the missing dagger while Jones cooks up his drugs.
Take 20 on perception for 42.

Samuel Sledge |

Dangit. His bad roll cost us 300 GP.

Jones Shei'lac |

#drinkpanaceaeveryday
Is the egg magic?

Jones Shei'lac |

Any Knowledge to identify it?

Samuel Sledge |

It's probably some douchey trap with a bunch of tears of death inside.

Jones Shei'lac |

Or maybe it contains the remains of the dead!
"Let's keep going," Jones says as he stows his newly brewed mutagen. "We can examine the egg later."

Rynjin |

You restart your journey, and soon realize that whie Illmarsh is said to only be about 30 miles from Thrushmoor, that is grossly misleading. The road is flooded and in disrepair in multiple spot, and is hard to navigate for long distances. At the pace you're going, it will take you the better part of two days on horseback.
Which reminds me, you probably should have been mounted the first round of the last combat...ah well.
Still, you make decent time. A few hours into your trip, as the sky darkens with stormy clouds, you come across stone quay extending into the bay.
Out on the water you can make out a small trawler with the name Isinglass painted on the side. At first glance, it appears to be heading to dock at the quay, but a closer look shows the man on board frantically running between the tiller and the sail, to little success. The ship is coming in too fast at 50 yards out, and on the wrong course, and will smash into the quay in under a minute if nobody helps.

Jones Shei'lac |

FL: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
"Perhaps Zin and I could fly out and help him!"

Samuel Sledge |

Swim: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Sledge dives into the water and swims to meet the boat.
Climb: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26
He will climb aboard the ship and manage the tiller or sail, but warn the man he has no sailing experience.

Jones Shei'lac |

Jones drinks Fly and moves toward the ship as fast as he can.

Rynjin |

Sledge swims 60 feet closer to the ship, and Jones flies the same distance. The ship moves 15 feet closer to the quay as the man frantically tries to save himself.
Give me another Swim Sledge, the water is choppy and the waves are growing with the wind from the brewing storm. You need a 20 to make progress.

Samuel Sledge |

Hmm. I'll do the 1/day change magenta prism skill to swim and just take 10.
Sledge swims closer to the ship.
Taking 10 for 20. Reduce sense motive bonus by 2 until I change the stone back.
