Rickard Screed
Rickard, your point buy is 25 points, not 20. Just FYI.
I used the Dual Talented alternate trait from the APG to give Rickard a +2 to two separate stats. Before those boosts, I'm pretty sure he fits the mold of a 20 point buy. Although if our GM doesn't allow alternate racial traits I can pretty easily rebuild him.

I'd like to throw a hat in the ring. Specifically a bicorne...
Jack Tar was born under a bad sign. The sign of Besmara, actually. Born to a whore on the docks of Cheliax, the illegitimate son of some sailor or another, Jack was born with the skull and crossbones on his back. Literally. The birthmark caused the midwife to gasp and seriously recommend drowning the newborn lad.
Instead he went to the Abadarian temple, where he was raised in an orphanage and taught the virtues of law and order and proper actions.
He lasted seven years before the stifling influence drove him to run away. He signed on the next ship he could find as a cabin boy and he's been sailing ever since.
Jack is charming, flighty and prone to forgetting his pledges, which he makes far too often and much too lightly. He considers himself a secret priest of Besmara, spreading the Pirate Queen's blessings to the common man. He enjoys drink, women and song, often in that order. Onboard he's a good sailor and his chanties make the work easier. On land he's a drunken cad who can't be trusted beyond arm's reach.
Mechanically he's a bard with the sea singer archetype.

I'm going to be using Roll20 for maps and such and Google Drive for handouts and portraits.
I'll have an OOC thread up later when I get home from work. Just an FYI after the wake tonight I have my 30th high school reunion tomorrow night so I won't be able to get the Gameplay thread up until Monday.

A gruff patron teeters upon his bar stool at the Formidably Maid, near to the toasting blind man. His intense, drunken gaze acknowledges the toast, followed swiftly by another swig of his rum.
"Aye, Blindey. Aye."
The empty mug slams down on the counter... an intense look towards the barkeep indicates the desire for a fast refill...
Moments later, all goes dark...
...
Excellent, thanks for the pick! Looking forward to it, and no worries about a Monday start. That'll grant me the time I need to make my starting gear changes anyway.
"Doc" T. J. Juckson
"Are you truly blind?" the well-groomed man next to Bellamy asks.
"I'm afraid my skills are somewhat lacking. My training mostly involves the removal of gangrened limbs and cauterizing wounds." He sticks out his hand to the two fellows at the bar. "The name's TJ Huckson, though most call me 'Doc'. It's not true, of course: I was trained as a carpenter. But I generally get hired as the ship surgeon nowadays so the nickname sticks."
I think I just need to put together his formula book and I'll be good to get started.
As a chirurgeon I'll act as a pseudo-healer. And provide potions galore!
Terry of Quent
Some light snickering is followed with the comment "He wudn't born yet when ye got yer handle, grandpa. None o' us were, I think."
As Doc asks his question and makes his introduction, the youngster shakes his head. "Can't be blind. Couldn't git 'round on a ship. Any ship, if he was. Must be some kinda magic . . .. Double eye patches, tho. Nice effect."
