For combat, I do have to caution that you're all pretty much ranged skill monkeys with mostly small arms so there's going to be a LOT of pew pew. I actually changed the last club fight to make it more melee focused and those were probably the most interesting parts (other than the beernade!).

As for locales and languages. The adventure will get real exotic soon enough and there's no realistic way for you guys to know what languages are going to be useful or not!

Huh, we ARE all ranged skill monkeys. How bizzare.

No magic, no melee, just a whole lot of pew and McGyvering. With that advantage, if we all did aid another actions during skill checks I bet we could beat some pretty high DCs. We should keep that in mind, especially when hacking computer systems and such.

That was a great post GM, it's really nice to see the consquences of our actions. I assume the level 21's and Tian's syndicate (forgot ther name sorry) both knew we were probably going to destabilize the Kings so they watched to see if they could take advantage of the power vacuum. Looks like they might end up fighting over the territory, even? Really cool to see the reaction.

We were lured to Starfinder with the promise of spaceship so I assumed we would be doing some of that eventually. And that usually leads to exotic things : )

And yeah we sorta brought it on ourselves with our class picks. I was sorta looking at the Solarion (sp?) but man those skill-points looked positively painful. Maybe a splash later ...? Or that Technomancer dabbling feat. Or something!

But even we operatives get some shenanigans later on - just not right now.

Would you mind if I left some language slots open? That way Leila can spend some time later on studying relevant languages. Means that yeah she'd probably know the campaign important languages eventually. But not right now just by some fluke, only eventually :P

Otherwise I can just jot down Dwarven or something . )

Combat keeps moving, which is the main thing. Helps that we're all able to post frequently - most of the time anyway *coughs*

Talky bits are good - there's a ton of exposition to be done and it's hard to do, but it doesn't come off like "As you know, your father, the king..."

Investigative stuff was a ton of fun! Fi's connections with organised crime, Leila's backstory, it all really fit the theme.

Astri will be picking up ranks in disguise eventually. As she gets more famous (the eventual fate of Iconics), she will HAVE to use disguises to get away with any bluffs.

Right now I'm putting points in class skills so she can be an aid other monkey on top of her social stuff. Not to mention that once we get a ship the Captain sometimes has to make aid other rolls in order to boost stations.

Edit: Actually, now that I think about it, I might as well start putting points into disguise now. We have plenty of Engineering.

If the GM is okay with it I'd like to switch Astri's last level-up skill point from Engineering to Disguise. Still going to keep the Athletics (drowning is not fun, even with a spacesuit).


Leila: Fine with holding on to the new Language learned for now. Won't be able learn a language the middle of an adventure though!

Astrianna: Fine with the switch in skill points.

Skills: Profession in the CRB has this blurb:

Earn a Living You can use Profession to earn money. A single check generally represents a week of work, and you earn a number of credits equal to double your Profession skill check result. At the GM’s discretion, you can use other skills (such as Computers or Engineering) to earn a living following the same guidelines.

So if everyone wants to do so then let me know what skill you wish to use, and either roll or take 10. We can do that in Discussion.
