You can also use a targeted dispel to specifically end one spell affecting the target or one spell affecting an area (such as a wall of fire). You must name the specific spell effect to be targeted in this way. If your caster level check is equal to or higher than the DC of that spell, it ends.
Sorry, I read that to be the DC of the spell, not the DC of the caster.

Baergar and Mûmak |

Before I act, I want to make sure I have something right since Baergar is familiar with cloudkill. On the necromancer's turn, it moves outward 10 feet then does damage to anyone in it. So, Sinc Baergar is at the epicenter already, he can stay put with nothing to worry about next round, right?

Vrog Skyreaver |

looks like you would still be in it, unless you take a 5' step south or southeast; and it looks like I was wrong. dispel magic does get rid of the cloudkill (I missed that targeting a specific spell only needs to make a caster level equal to the dc, not 11 + caster level, even though the other checks are caster level based), so nm about the whole discussion about whether Baergar is in it or not. updating the map. If the creature drops, Baergar asks if he should pursue the necromancer. If yes, he will move 160 through the gate (1 move action), then if he cannot see the caster, he will spend a mythic point to perform a 7 league leap and jump forward in hopes of finding the necromancer.

Those attacks don't hurt Lorelei. Aside from the following contingency that she has prepared, her AC is 60.
In the seconds before Grilka's attacks make contact with Lorelei's tiny frame, yet another powerful shield of magic blocks harm from coming to her.
"Should think of better wording," Lorelei mumbles to herself. She had only intended for this contingency to activate if her defenses had been breached or if she had been caught off guard. Regardless, Star glances up and mocks Grilka, "You couldn't hit a mountain with those swings."
#5 of Star's Mythic Contingency was that Antilife Shell goes off if she's attacked. I meant for it to be in case someone like Baergar were to charge her (those mythic crits hurt). Ten feet away, boom! Antilife Shell! However, I never considered how it interacts with point blank attacks. I don't know if this situation counts as only being defensive or aggressive. The intent was the former, but a case can be made for the latter. If I had to guess, Lorelei is forced ten feet back or the thing just collapses. Either way, her AC ensures that she is unharmed.

Vrog Skyreaver |

Anti-life shell doesn't work the way you think it does. Since it only hedges out life, it can't stop me if I'm already adj. to you; however, if you were to back up, then the spell would apply to me. As for your ac, my math works out as follows: 10 base + 20 (cha) +5 (natural) +5 (deflection) +1 (insight) +6 (shield) +2 (luck) equals 49 base. As cloak of darkness is 17 hours a day and many forms is 17 minutes a day, and both require a standard action to activate. You have a choice when it comes to your armor: you can choose to have it up, in which case subtract 5 hours from your max duration, or you can choose to not have it up and activate it in hour-long durations (per the ability). For your many forms ability, you should assume that it is not up, unless the combats are back-to-back. either way, the attacks missed you (as I missed your magic vestment).

Lorelei Starling |

Well, good to know that's how it works. The text made it seem like the spell outright fails or someone gets pushed back.
The Armor of Darkness has been up the entire time; I've described Lorelei as almost completely covered by it.
The size bonus is actually from the effects of Polymorph Any Object. Star cast it on herself some time ago to assume a smaller, stealthier form. Based on the chart, going from human to gnome is a permanent transformation.

Vrog Skyreaver |

I dunno. not having endcap abilities kinda sucks. being able to (for example) max out loh and channeling, or autoconfirm crits and adding 1 to the multiplier are amazing abilities to give up for the power that being mythic grants. plus, I have at least 2 encounters that should allow the non-mythic people to shine.
I sent a PM to Troy. Waiting on his response.

Manisha Johar |

I may not have 9th level wizard spells, but I do have a couple of 9th level spell-like abilities and cleric spells from divine source, which is based on mythic rank, not character level.
"In addition, you can cast spells from domains you grant as long as their level is equal to or less than your tier." So the two ninth level spells are lower than my rank 10, hence I can cast them. Though it doesn't say it here, I would expect that I have a penalty akin to trying to use a scroll of a spell that is a higher level. The base assumption with mythic is that a character would gain one MR every two CL's. Having 17 CL's with 10 MR is faster than this progression which means we have some abilities that are not expected until level 19/20.
"Each day as a spell-like ability, you can cast one spell of each level equal to or less than your tier (selecting from those available to you from your divine source domains)." And two spell-like abilities, also at ninth level, however since many creatures often have SLA's that exceed their HD, I would not expect any penalties to using them.
I am wondering if the abilities of being mythic are going to be sufficient for the loss of HD, especially if the NPCs are considerably higher than CR 20. (Taking a CR 20 creature and stacking 10 mythic ranks on it makes it CR 25)

Vrog Skyreaver |

while you have the divine source ability, it doesn't give you access to cast spells of a higher level than you could normally cast; it just means that you would add the spells from those two domains to your list of spells known. as for your spell-likes, you would cast 1/spell level chosen from either of your two domains (you could have taken the ability twice more, in which case you could have had 3 sl/level. additionally, your caster level for those abilities should be your HD.

Manisha Johar |

There's a rub by adding the ruling that divine source does not grant spells based on character level and mythic tier. Since mythic tier is designed on the basis of a tier per 2 CL's. (I have noted that I have 1 SLA per level of one of the two domain spells.) The ability indicates that taking it multiple times expands the sources of spells available, not the number of SLA's.
Mythic Spell Lore says: "To select a mythic spell, you must be able to cast the non-mythic version or have it on your list of spells known. Every time you gain a new tier, you can select an additional mythic spell." As designed, a character would already be able to cast 9th level spells before reaching their last 1-2 tiers. And thus they would be able to select at least one, possibly more than 10 mythic spells of high level if they took the feat at tier 9 or 10. I may as well clarify now, I have noted mythic spells that I can't yet cast because I won't be gaining anymore tiers to be able to select as per the feat. Is this fine, or am I limited to spells I can cast now?

Vrog Skyreaver |

It should be noted that no one is going to level during the course of this campaign; hence starting off at max level. Otherwise, I would have to kitbash some epic rules, and that's not something that I really want to do. I see a flaw in your logic: mythic tiers are roughly about 1 per 2 levels. Gaining mythic tiers requires doing mythic deeds, and do not have a set schedule that you gain them. So you could have a 1st level character with 10 mythic tiers (not bloody likely, I'll definitely grant, but possible RAW), thus the assumption that a 10th tier character would already have 9th level spells is a bit erroneous; And I was specifically talking about divine source, not mythic spell lore. You're definitely right, though, you wouldn't get more SLAs with more divine source, just more spells known.
With mythic spell lore, you should have a total of 10 mythic spells per time you took mythic spell lore, as it scales with tier. Keep in mind that you would need to learn mythic spells again (via the mythic spell lore feat or the mythic spellcasting ability) and not just be able to cast any spell you know as mythic.

He saw 4 of us. She's dead. We didn't touch that invisible thing, and it's gone. Tar-Baphon knows we're here. Let him think some adventurers killed some disposable servants. We need to back away.
Wait! Don't follow him in there!.. Assuming it's possible. Let's pause a moment. This place is bad.
It may have been better to let one of the other casters do that, but Lefty's keen on getting inside, when we're ready. He was right there. Manisha and Star can get some mojo on. If Manisha casts message, we can talk to her from pretty far away, right away.

Sorry if this is out of turn, but I need to do it this round. If everyone else can just delay...
Lorelei's demeanor abruptly perks up as if she recalls something important.
"The necromancer! Hold on..." the little woman mumbles to herself as digging around for something. "I can call him back. Get around where he was. Attack if I succeed."
If everyone else delays...
Lorelei produces a small white crystal from her shroud of darkness and quickly begins chanting. Her eyes begin glowing nova blue with power. At first, nothing seems to happen, which gets a tiny frown from Star. She grits her teeth and grumbles, "No."
Reality hiccups.
The crystal suddenly begins to glow...
Knowledge (Planes): 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (6) + 29 = 35
Knowledge (Planes) Fortune Revelation Reroll: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (19) + 29 = 48
Star is using one of the abilities of her artifact. The Necromancer needs to make a DC 35 Will Save or be drawn back to the location he D-Doored from. Star will move herself closer if necessary to get within the required 15 ft.
As a full-round action, the bearer can attempt to draw back other creatures that teleported away by expending four uses of mythic power. If she succeeds at a DC 40 Knowledge (planes) check, the bearer can draw back up to one creature per mythic tier she possesses that departed via a conjuration (teleportation) effect in the previous round. To draw back a creature, the bearer must be within 15 feet of the location the creature left from. If the creature resists, it can attempt a Will save (DC 25 + the bearer's tier) to avoid returning.

Vrog Skyreaver |

the problem with that logic is that you have no idea where he teleported/dim-doored from (as the cloudkill blocked all line-of-sight, and he moved out of range of Lorelei's blindsense). you are more than welcome to use the crystal where you think he was, but it is a full-round action, so you would need to expend a use of mythic power to even move. let me know where you want to move to before you use the ability, and i'll move you on the map, then make sure I got it right, then we'll see if your ability worked or not.

Lorelei Starling |

Missed the full-round action bit. Huh. That plan's a bit more problematic than I thought. Can Lorelei draw out the crystal as she moves (like a weapon)? Otherwise, the plan's kind of shot. Putting that aside, how can we fairly have Star determine where the necromancer went? I know which way he went, but she doesn't. Lorelei does have scent if he left a trail, but I'm not sure how quickly she can track that. Maybe someone else could look at his tracks or something...
I only need a general direction. Once I get within 15 feet, the plan is golden.
EDIT: Well, she could make a hunch that he went inside because the guard told him to go that way, but that still leaves some wiggle room.

Latharien "Lefty" Setiva |

My question is that if I add 10 to my BAB, I would attack with the full BAB of a fighter. Would I get 4 attacks on a full melee attack, or just +10 on my usual 2 attacks?

Lorelei Starling |

Could Rose spend a Miracle to reveal where he last stood? She's an intelligent item, so she acts on Star's turn and can activate her powers of her own accord.
EDIT: I know Mind Blank would probably block a direct attempt on getting anything about the Necromancer himself, but the spot where he last stood on the ground shouldn't get such protection. Could a Miracle reveal that?

Vrog Skyreaver |

Lorelei, sure, you could do that, or at least close enough to be within 15', with a miracle. I've updated the map with locations of everyone. lemme see if the necromancer makes his save.
will save: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (16) + 17 = 33 looks like he will come back once manisha's turn is dealt with either way (by delaying or taking her turn). come back. His position is on the map.

Lorelei Starling |

"...Do you know where he last stood?" Rose asks Lorelei telepathically. "You need to be within fifteen feet for the crystal to pull him back."
"Not really," Lorelei grumbled under her breath. "Might be past the barrier. Guard told him to go there."
"Allow me, sweetie," Rose says gently as she starts to glow white with cosmic power.
The world blurs around Lorelei as she quickly retraces the necromancer's steps. The Nexus Crystal begins rapidly pulsing and shaking in her hand, giving Star the impression that she has just caught a twisted fish with a cosmic fishing line. With a sigh, Star closes her eyes and hopes.
Rose casts Miracle to find out where the necromancer last stood and shares the knowledge with Lorelei. Star uses Amazing Initiative to get in the general area and uses the Nexus Crystal's pullback power. That's another five uses of Mythic Power for a grand total used of eight for the day. The Necromancer needs to make a DC 35 will save or be pulled back.
