| Bulvi |
Bulvi will spend part of the evening training with his sword going through forms and stances, getting used to the breastplate. He doesn't want to have to get used to it in combat. He'll be training somewhere appropriate near the inn.
Findurêl

Findurêl thanks the priest and then will head to the inn, get a corner table, and knock down a pint as he contemplates the day...and the morrow...
Sakitu

Sakitu smiles at Quasit. "Looks like we're all light-weights compared to you. Drinks go right to my head. That's the bad part. The good part is their effect fades quickly too. I think it's my shape shifting body. However, I'll have a drink or two, but probably not any more than that." She turns to Ibona. "Come on. You can join us for a little while. Afterall, we just met. We need to get to know each other better. I think." A sweet pleading fills Sakitu's voice as she tries to convince the half-elf to join them.

Alex grins at Quasin. "Sounds fun. I'll only have a drink or two, though. The one time that I had more, I ended up getting into more mischief than I want to repeat with my magic. I've never figured out how, but a drunken lout who wouldn't leave me alone found his head attached to his body at the wrong place for a day."
Quasit's head tenses back and her eyebrows fly up at this, and she looks like she wants to probe this deeper, but instead she lets that dog lay.
"At least one shot," she agrees. "We honor Cayden and we honor Yu. But then I'm getting shnockered. The less I remember about this day, the better."

Sakitu smiles at Quasit. "Looks like we're all light-weights compared to you.
"Oh I'm a light weight too. I just don't care."explains Quasit.

Quasit returns a doubtful look toward Ibona, and crosses her arms. "Yeah, join us,"she says."Let your hair down a bit. Honor a fallen comrade."

"I don't drink, it clouds the mind, but I will join you while you celebrate your friends life."

the a few hardy rounds, Quasit passes out, and wakes up in the pantry half dressed, with one of the servers missing half their clothes.
Ibona, Bulvi, Findurel wake in their rooms
Sakitu wakes up just outside of Bulvi's room, though with a pot in one hand, which she was probably using to keep the hallway clean.
Alexia wakes up with a pounding headache, and a craving for greasy meat though not sure why
After everyone gets themselves organized, a member of the temple arrives and hands you a wand (CLW) freshly made, she quotes the father saying that hopes this will aid you on your trip and she leaves.
it takes several hours to go back to the massacre sight, and down the path to the chest and the log trap that is still tripped, Quasit staring at it with the evil stink eye as you all pass by it.

the a few hardy rounds, Quasit passes out, and wakes up in the pantry half dressed, with one of the servers missing half their clothes.
Quasit can't help but groan a bit as she levers herself up into a sitting position and looks around squint-eyed at her surroundings, rubbing at the crick in her neck. She looks down at her companion and just stares at him for a solid minute, desperately trying to remember his name. In the end, deciding that discretion is the better part of valor, she quickly and quietly dresses and slips out of the pantry.
stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11"Desna's t&!$ girl, what is it with drunken-you and half-orcs? I wonder if he was a drummer too?"she muses out loud to herself.
Once out into the kitchens, she yawns and stretches more properly, then slips out the back door, wandering out to the well. She draws up a bucket of cold water, and douses her head and neck, then sucks in a big mouthful of water, swishes and spits. Then she fishes out her toothbrush and goes wandering off to where the group is assembling, still sawing away at each tooth obsessively, one at a time. The whole process takes her a solid 15 minutes, and she makes up for being unable to chatter by engaging in a complicated routine of posture changes, eye-rolls, humming, drawing in the dirt with her toe, etc.

Once at the fork in the road, Quasit defers to the elf as he peers intently at the ground. To do otherwise would be like telling a dwarf how to grow a beard. But she looks around as well, trying to be helpful.

looking down the left path, you can see the snow building up, and seeming to become very heavy a ways down though no wildlife goes this way, there some to be slightly newer tracks.
looking down the right path, you see a light dusting of snowfall though tracks look old they go this way.
Right path - 3 days
Left Path - 2 1/2 days
Findurêl
|
"Newer tracks to the left...with nothing else to go on, I'd say try this way...heavier snowfall though, so could be more treacherous..."
| Bulvi |
Bulvi considers the path for a while before settling on snow shoes, putting his sword back in it's sheath. He pulls snow shoes from the side of his backpack and starts attaching them to his feet wishing to keep weapons in his hands "Agreed, they like setting traps for pursuers as we have seen, It's be easy enough to set up a pit trap obscured beneath the snow." Drawing a javelin he gave the ground before him a prod preparing to check the ground before him as they traveled. He still held his shield in the other hand.
Ibona Perharice
|
I look both ways and grimace. "Either way has its pros and cons. But, yes, given what we know, following newer tracks may be a good thing."
For the first time you can remember, I put away (and not just put down) my journal that I keep jotting information on, grimace, and draw my Gladius. "I am NOT a fighter, and I hate to fight."
Findurêl
|
Findurêl looks to the others. "How should we proceed? Shall I scout ahead, no more than 30' ahead after what happened yesterday, or should I bring up the rear?"
Ibona Perharice
|
"I don't think, given the problems you had the first time out, that splitting up, in any form, is a good thing"
Quasit*
|
"I say follow the heavier snow."says Quasit with a nod to the left path. "Those snow pixies are creating the weird cold conditions, and that will likely get more intense the closer we get to them. Besides, I bet the older tracks are from them approaching the road, and the newer ones are their path away. With Lady Fancypants in tow."
On the question of Findurel scouting ahead, Quasit just knits her brow and purses her lips a bit, then glances around to others.
| Bulvi |
"If you do stay within thirty foot as you said but my opinion is contingent on someone else." Bulvi sighs and looks at Quasit "Unless you are happy about holding the rear I say no. And I mean if you are happy which I doubt. I don't want one of the less close quarters inclined members of our group holding the back. Honestly I'm not expecting you to say yes but you know your abilities better than me."
Findurêl
|
"I have no problem bringing up the rear...but if a situation arises where you deem we might need to know what lies ahead, I'm open to scouting as well..."
Sakitu
|
Sakitu cocks her head to the side while she listened to the back and forth conversation. "I'm not trying to be pushy but maybe we're overthinking this?" She points down the trail with the heavier snow. "Let's just head down this trail and all stick together. I don't want us to be separated again!"
Quasit*

"OK, you should know better than to ask a smart aleck like me if they're happy holding the rear. I mean, that's just a perfect set-up." she says with a smirk at Bulvi. She waits a beat to see if anyone chuckles, then continues. "Yeah, I'm happier toward the front. I like the marching order you suggested yesterday, with you leading and me right behind keeping an eye on things."
| Bulvi |
Bulvi looks at her levelly and cracks a smile "Well then I guess my rear is safe in your hands. Lets get moving." Bulvi started trudging down the path.
Findurêl
|
Findurêl will wait to the others pass and will bring up the rear, longbow in hand. He'll keep an eye out for an ambush and check for tracks that the others might miss...he'll also try to stay concealed if possible, traveling just off the trail and making use of any cover from the trees and their shadows, just in case something comes up from the trees or from behind...

But I'll admit to waking up with my head on someone's chest this morning. It's weird... when I get really drunk, I go for half-orcs. Don't ask me why. I avoid 'em sober. I think he worked in the stables, he smelled a little like mules." She sticks out her tongue and makes a face. "So, mission accomplished on getting stupid, I guess. How about you, fox girl?"
