Awlrighty!
You tour the small hamlet of Neatholm. The damage really not all that bad. Some magical fire has destroyed a few buildings. The total deathcount is 4: There is Golstein and Jainus, two brothers who died with smiles on their faces. Our best young men-o-the watch your Mongrelman Guide explains. Then there was Langston and Freita, a husband and wife who had no children and ran a small butchery. Langston was an overweight man who took out 2 cultists with his butcher's meat cleaver and Freita used a pitchfork to kill a third. Your mongrelman guide tells you The chief will probably award them the Order of the Luminous Mushroom. They will be buried as heros.
You arrive at the town square where Lady Caronna has begun field hospital work. Mostly scrapes and bruises, and a few magical burn wounds from Hosilla's vile arcane power. Lady Caronna hails you: The town is none the worse for the ware. But it's true that the cultist's lair cannot be allowed to go unmolested any longer. Surely without Hosilla they will have trouble mounting another assault. But cultists of Baphomet do not quit just because they lose a leader.
I know Khan already asked where the lair is. Just trying to work it in naturally.
Lady Caronna and your Mongrelman guides explain that the Lair of the Cultists of Baphomet through the tunnel on the North side of the lake, about 1 days journey. The Mongrelman draws you a rough map and explains: I have also heard that the lair has access to the surface. This may be your chance to go home to Kenabres. Or what's left of it.
Siff Doren
Stepping over to the Socereress she crouches down and puts a hand on her shoulder. "If something is bothering you, you can tell me."
On the beach
Sif starts a bit as Nazz's hand touches her shoulder, looking sideway at the beautiful warrior.
She tucks a lock of blue hair behind her ear, "No, no, nothing's bothering me....just tired, is all" she says, smiling weakly.
"Please, don't press, Nazz....please...
She sees the transfer of the book from Iradyiel, and tries to change the subject , "I'll take a look..."
Adria, did Siff determine what the pink potion was...
In Town
Siff asks, "Someone mentioned another town like yours, do you think the cultists took it over?"
She then asks where the Chief and Aravashniel were.
Darya Flamekissed
Catching Nazz' eye Darya gestures to let Siff express herself in her own time. As she smiles at the sorceress she says quietly, "If you need to talk, or just need a shoulder, just remember you aren't alone ok. I think it's a pretty fair assessment to say you're around people that are pretty fond of you."
Nazz of Dyinglight
At Siff's and Darya's soft rebuttal Nazz nods and backs away from the Sorcereress. "... she's right. We're here, if you need us."

On the beach
Siff looks from Darya to Nazz and back, a tightness around her eyes disappearing, nodding, "OK, I'm glad. Thank you, both, I never expected to find such friends." she says, looking both ladies in the eye, hopeful but still not sure.
In the town
Siff thinks on what she learned about the items they found, "The wand will create a magical weapon, the potion will make its drinker invisible.
At Iradyiel's urging, she examines the chain shirt...

On the beach:
Nazz genuinely smiles when she sees Siff overcome whatever it was she was battling inside.
With the others.
"... you can start taking that book apart now, please." she says as an aside to Ira, not even trying to hide her disgust with its existence.
Iradyiel Madras
As Iradyiel speak to the mongrelmen he hears Darya tell Siff "people that are pretty fond of you" Of course people are fond of her what's not to be fond of? She's beautiful, intelligent, gifted and exotic! She proved she's on par with these other crusaders..
He stops his musings as Nazz calls to him. Please? well that's very polite He nods and smiles, taking the book from the sword-mistress, pulling out his dagger he starts popping the jewels off of the cover and placing them in a pocket on his bandolier. Quickly finishing removing the stones he holds the defaced book up and asks "Anyone have a Match?"

After Iradyiel burns the book, he asks Lady Caronna where one might sell things like Dragon claws and wands and other such treasure. Dispite the plight of the wounded she is caring for, Lady Caronna chuckles.
Lady Caronna: Oh, well for that you've got two choices, Master Iradyiel. There is Griswald, the keeper of The Stalagmite Emporium. Which is really just his fancy name for his general store. He will buy and sell mundane items, even the masterwork kind. As for magical things: see Suzuki Moshi. He's the old peddler who pulls the cart around town. Did you know that cart doubles as a boat? He takes it across the lake now and again to trade with the denizens of the underdark. I've seen some fine things in his inventory. But buyer beware. A few years back he sold an amulet to a young women in town that turned out to be cursed by a demon! Wearing the damn thing caused it to take over her body and I spent 4 days with her alone in the chapel's kitchen to excersize the damn thing. You can probably find Suzuki Moshi on the south shore, near the Neatholm Town Park, if he's in town.

Iradyiel smiles at Lady Caronna, thanking her "Thank you M'Lady, I believe we will head over to the general store and sell the mundane items and pick up a some food and gear, we said the other village was about three days, right." then turning to the group he asks, "If we have enough money should we buy a wand to help with the healing?" He then begins to head to "The Stalagmite Emporium"

Flashing Nazz a meaningful look, Darya nods at the idea to head to unload the items they'd picked up, before resting for the evening.

Nazz arches a brow at the Paladin, but for the moment does not say anything.

as they head to "The Stalagmite Emporium" Iradiel asks the team, "It seems like we have found a few magical items like the potions, wands and cloak, I assume we want to keep them, Also any well made weapons or weapons were using, like this crossbow" lifting up the weapon he got from the dead dwarf, then pointing at the hammer Bruno had "Or that fine hammer Brunno acquired, but shall we sell everything else?" He pulls the newly acquired gems out of his pocket, displaying them to the group, well at least I can look at them a little longer before we get rid of them. Turning to Brunno he continues "Brunno they said the other village is a days travel away, do you think Esmeralda would mind carrying a couple of days rations for us just in case?" and we have gone through almost all those blue vials for healing Then addressing no one in particular he adds "If we get enough money it might be in our best interest to try and find a wand for healing people." smiling he adds "We seem to have gotten into a fair amount of fights." Laughing a little he adds "I don't know if that's just how things are underground or if it's our winning personalities!"

Siff walks with the others towards the shop, her mind spinning.
I've never fancied women...so why do these two affect me so? Is it their attention I crave, friendship....more? Hah! You're a fool, Siff. They say nice things and are good comrades but...more?
"Pfft!" Siff utters before realizing she'd done so out loud.
Cheeks red, she trudges along, sneaking glances a both Darya and Nazz, before Iradyiel speaks.
Now that's who I should be interested in. He's very charming and dashing...but...there's nothing. I like him greatly, but there's no spark...What's that he's saying?
"Healing is a good idea, Ira. And I have no issue with using the surplus treasure to fund magic we can all profit by." she says to Iradyiel with a smile.

the friend box? so soon...charisma 17, charisma 10, he never had a chance anyway, but so soon, awww
Iradiel smiles and nods to Siff as they continue the Emporium.
Shear Khan
"Yea, we'll need it down here. No help from above." Khan says ignoring the obvious awkwardness of the whole conversation. He was for once lucky he did not have to deal with that. A long time ago he had accepted that no one could love a beast like him. At least not in that way.
Iradyiel Madras
the good news is they will have to go through Nazz and Darya to get to him, I mean through Bruno and Esmeralda and Shear Khan and Siff too, but especially Nazz and Darya!
so are we selling all the non-used and non-magical stuff or what?
Iradyiel walks in the emporium and walking up the counter he empties his pockets of the gems and coins he had acquired and asks Griswald "were looking to sell a few items and purchase some supplies at a fair price, is this the right spot?"
Shear Khan
Bruno Bullrush wrote:Not if I get there first!uuummm does he mean the to the succubus's first or to Iradyiel?
Yea, let's get rid of the not-useful stuff. And you definitely want the first and not the second.

Silently taking it all in as they travel to the Emporium, Darya runs the last couple days of events through her head, occasionally glancing over at Nazz or Siff, each bringing a small smile to her lips.

A relieved smile crossing her face as she hears Siff laugh at something she only knew. As they moved on a redness started to grow on her cheeks as she felt glances her way, even more so when for the slightest moment here eyes would connect with Darya's or Siff's, making her jerk her head the other way and catching the other girl's gaze.
Her neck was going to be sore as hell at this rate.

Don't you worry! I'm sure we can find a nice succubus or crusader who's into furries.

FOR THE FOLKS WHO LIKE RPING SHOPS:)
As Iradyiel drops the gems and coins on the wooden counter Griswald turns around to face you. His twisted mongrelman face is horrifying... I'm picturing "chunk" from The Goonies:D...and his shear size is intimidating. He's wiping up a small metal shaft with an emery cloth. His eyes - if that's what you can call them - grow wide at the site of the treasure.
Well let me have a look here. His voice is un-naturally high pitched. A eunuch, no doubt. Wow, you've gathered quite the treasure hoard here my friends! What's this? Dragon claws? And some mighty fine diamonds. I'm sure I could resell some of this stuff. Perhaps the Drow caravans further south would take them. But the journey would be dangerous for me.
As Iradyiel shows off the wares one by one Griswald jots notes down on a list. Finally he says Here's what I can do for you and hands Iradyiel his proposal. You notices the adamantine dragon claws are on his list...
Colored all the lines he's interested in Purple. The sum at the bottom of the sheet says: 1400gp
And mabe you'd be interested in a few of my own wares? Griswald has all mundane items, and any MWK item worth less than 500gp.
Iradyiel Madras
Iradyiel looks from Griswald to Bruno, Iradyiel separates out the MW hammer, the crossbow and the dragons claws and asks "How much for that? Once we come to an accord we will look at your wares."
don't forget the jewels from off of the prayer book, I see that it is in red, so wasn't sure if they were on the list.

Siff putters about the shop, picking up this and that, not terribly interested in the commerce going on at the counter.
She stops and watches as Iradyiel counters the merchant's first offer, Hmm, he seems to know what he's doing. i guess he'll be our official coin counter. she smiles at the image in her head, of the rogue sitting in a darkened room, at a table piled with neat stacks of coins, sorting and counting.

I thought you burned the prayer book. No? If not...
Griswald hrumphs as you pull back the dragon claws, which are each 7.56 in long. But when you point out the jewels on the prayer book he smiles. Well, I could part with 1100 for that. Whaddya say?
Diplomacy DC15 would raise it to 1250
Diplomacy DC20 would raise it to 1350
Diplomacy DC25 would raise it to 1400

Siff Doren
Siff looks up from examining a particularily sharp looking dagger at Iradyiel's question.
Carefully placing the weapon back where it was displayed, she walks over and leans against the counter, "I think they're worth a bit more than that, don't you think?" she says smiling brilliantly at the merchant

Darya can't quite hide her grin at Siff's skilled 'handling' of the situation. The sorceress was definitely someone that it would be hard to deny anything.

I knew it was worth more, need to tell Siff what a good job she did Looking from the merchant to Siff and back to the merchant, Iradiel smiles and nods "That seems like a more reasonable price, We are also going to need 20 crossbow quarrels."
assuming we will use the rations we already have for the day trip to the lair
Siff Doren
Griswald: *Gulp*. Well, little lady. For you I make a special deal. 1350 gold pieces. But Ifn I give much more than that for this stuff I be thinking I won't turn a profit. Now you can unnerstand a mongrel man's need ta eat, cancha?
Siff smiles and inclines her head at Griswald's wisdom, "I certainly do." she says, then straightens as her stomach emits a loud rumble, "It would seem I've neglected that myself." she says, patting her belly, chuckling at the coincidence.
She then stands at the counter, watching Iradyiel complete his purchase and sale of their unwanted items, very pleased with herself.
Iradyiel Madras
good with what ever, figured we would wheel and deal with the old peddler to purchase wand of clw, would leave around 685 gp, is there anything else we need?
As they leave the emporium, Iradyiel splits the stack of arrows in half, walking over to Siff, "good job helping the Mongrelman come to a more reasonable price," handing half the quarrels to her "I got these to replenish what we used." Turning to the group, "Have any of you seen the peddler with the cart? He's supposed to have the magic items, and we need a wand for healing."
